Welcome to Huntington Run, located at 6255 Cranbrook Ln in Kalamazoo, Michigan (49009), USA. If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Kalamazoo area or considering a mobile home living situation, Huntington Run is located in this region. You can reach them at (269) 443-8134 or +1 269-443-8134 for inquiries about potential RV accommodations and mobile home availability. However, it is essential to carefully consider the recent resident feedback to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community and its management.
For individuals and families exploring "RV parks near me," Huntington Run is primarily a mobile home community. While it may offer space for RVs (subject to availability and park regulations), the limited available reviews focus on the experiences of mobile home residents. Therefore, those interested in RV parking should directly contact the park to inquire about the availability of RV sites, the amenities provided for RVs, and the terms for both short-term and long-term stays. Understanding the experiences of current mobile home residents can offer some insight into the overall management and environment of the park, which may be relevant for RVers considering an extended stay.
Environment and Atmosphere:
The limited feedback available for Huntington Run paints a concerning picture of the community environment and management practices. One reviewer, who has apparently experienced issues for over three years, describes a situation involving a resident who does not clean up pet feces. The manager's resolution to this ongoing problem was reportedly to allow the responsible resident to hire a service to clean up every two weeks instead of enforcing immediate cleanup, leaving other residents to deal with the unpleasant sight. This suggests a lack of effective enforcement of community rules and a potential disregard for the overall living environment.
Another reviewer strongly advises against living in Huntington Run, describing the place as a "joke." They paint a picture of a community with inconsistent standards, where one home might appear nice while neighboring properties could have issues such as "falling down steps" and other signs of disrepair. The reviewer also alleges the presence of "pit bulls hidden in the house," raising potential safety concerns for other residents and their pets.
Further negative aspects highlighted include residents using "sheets or blankets" for curtains, which could indicate a lack of community standards or enforcement. The behavior of the maintenance man is also criticized, with claims that he "sits in the company truck smoking and watching residents," creating a "creepy" atmosphere. Additionally, the reviewer alleges that the maintenance man is unwilling to perform tasks he deems "beneath him," such as picking up debris on the road, suggesting a lack of commitment to maintaining the park's appearance and safety.
The issue of winter road maintenance is also raised, with the reviewer stating that the roads are not salted, making them unsafe to walk on. This lack of attention to safety during winter months is a significant concern for residents' well-being.
Finally, the reviewer levels serious accusations against the manager, claiming that she "bad mouths and gossips" and has "too many of her friends working for her," suggesting potential issues with professionalism and fairness in management practices. The reviewer, claiming to have lived there for two years with another resident, also alleges that any positive "5 star reviews are from people who don't even live here," implying manipulation of online feedback and a lack of transparency from management. The alleged removal of a negative review further supports this concern about management's handling of feedback.
Overall, the limited available feedback paints a picture of a poorly managed community with inconsistent living standards, potential safety concerns, inadequate maintenance, and unprofessional management conduct.
Services and Amenities:
Based on the negative reviews, the services and amenities at Huntington Run appear to be lacking or poorly managed. The ineffective handling of pet waste issues suggests a failure in enforcing community cleanliness standards. The alleged unwillingness of the maintenance man to perform basic upkeep tasks indicates inadequate maintenance services.
The lack of winter road salting points to a deficiency in essential safety services during colder months. The accusations against the manager regarding gossiping and unprofessional behavior suggest a potential lack of effective and respectful management support for residents.
For individuals considering Huntington Run as one of the "RV parks near me," there is no information provided about RV-specific amenities. Potential RV residents would need to contact the park directly to inquire about the availability of hookups for water, sewage, and electricity, the types and sizes of RV sites offered, and access to any shared facilities such as restrooms, showers, or laundry. Given the reported issues with overall management and maintenance for mobile home residents, it would be prudent for RVers to thoroughly investigate the services and support available to them before committing to a stay.
The alleged manipulation of online reviews further raises concerns about the transparency and reliability of any information provided by the management regarding services and amenities.
Features and Highlights:
Based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback, it is challenging to identify positive features or highlights of Huntington Run. The reviews focus entirely on negative aspects related to management, maintenance, and community standards. There are no mentions of affordability, specific community amenities, or positive aspects of the living environment.
For those considering Huntington Run as one of the "RV parks near me," there are no features specifically mentioned that would be attractive to RV users. The negative experiences reported by mobile home residents should serve as a significant caution for anyone considering this park for any type of residency.

Promotional Information and Call to Action:

Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" or considering mobile home living in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area should approach Huntington Run with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence.

The specific advantages of this location would depend on the individual needs and preferences of potential residents. However, for those searching for "RV parks near me" or mobile home living, the internal conditions and management practices of the park, as described in the reviews, should be the primary focus of consideration, rather than just the geographical location.
Important Considerations:
The strongly negative reviews of Huntington Run raise significant concerns about the management's effectiveness, the maintenance of the community, and the overall living environment. Anyone considering living in this community, whether in a mobile home or an RV, should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. Verifying the current management practices and seeking feedback from multiple current residents (if possible) is strongly recommended. The reported issues with pet waste, property disrepair, maintenance inaction, winter safety, and unprofessional management conduct should not be ignored.
Based on the available information, Huntington Run cannot be recommended without significant reservations. Potential residents should prioritize thorough investigation and strongly consider alternative options in the Kalamazoo area to ensure a more positive and well-supported living experience.

Huntington Run Reviews
For over three years this has been an issue that we’ve complained about to the manager. Finally the manger’s resolution was to allow this resident to hire a service to come out every two weeks to clean up the feces instead of enforcing the rules of cleaning it up right away. So this is what we got to look at while celebrating Mother’s Day. So much fora professionally managed community.
May 19, 2022 · Kris StirnThis place is a joke. Don't think about living here. One home may look nice but your neighbor probably has falling down steps, pit bulls hidden in the house, and sheets or blankets being used for curtains. The maintenance man sits in the company truck smoking and watching residents. It's creepy. Don't ask him to do work that is beneath him. He won't pick up a stick in the road. During winter you can't walk on the roads because they don't salt. The manager bad mouths and gossips. She has too many of her friends working for her. I have lived here 2 years. with another resident. The 5 star reviews are from people who don't even live here I guess someone didn't like the review and removed it. Says alot about "management "
Jul 23, 2023 · Susan JacksonI've lived here 22 years and raised my kids here. It's safe, convenient, & well maintained. Management has been great and we have the clubhouse as a great option for parties. The pool is well maintained and packages are delivered to the office, which is great if you are working or gone. There are a lot of benefits to living in a great community like this!!
Oct 20, 2019 · lora WillmoreNicely planned out living community. It was my first time in the neighborhood. It was well kept and the friend who I visited loves living there.
Apr 23, 2024 · Greg McGrailI have lived here more than 20 yrs. Used to be an excellent community, well managed and maintained. That is no longer the case!! There is NO on-site management. Maintenance is spotty at best. They do not enforce rules to keep the community a pleasant place to live. There are no lot lines, which means it';s basically a free-for-all. If your neighbor decides your yard has more space for their kids to play, that's fine with the office and there's not much you can do. I work hard to maintain my home, but that is not the case with others. Look around at the number of steps that are in sad shape, not stained/painted, yards not mowed, young kids playing outside unsupervised. While it's not as bad as some other communities, it is not nearly as nice as it once was... and could be again if management ever got their act together. I would not suggest anyone move here.
