When selecting an RV park or campground, especially for travelers or those seeking a longer stay, it's crucial to evaluate various aspects such as the environment, available services, features, and the overall management. Online reviews can offer contrasting perspectives and provide valuable insights from the experiences of previous guests. In the case of The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground, the available feedback presents a stark dichotomy that potential visitors should carefully examine.
One review offers a highly negative assessment of the park. The reviewer, identifying as a full-time RVer with extensive experience across numerous parks, labels The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground as "TERRIBLE PARK!!!!" and states they would give it a negative rating if possible. Several serious concerns are raised, including allegations that the park is owned by "The Freedom Group out of Nashville Tn" and that they hire individuals with issues, described as "alcoholics and transients," to manage and maintain the property. This suggests potential issues with the professionalism and reliability of the park staff.
Further criticisms include claims of utilities being turned off without notice for "hack repair jobs that never last," indicating potential disruptions and inadequate infrastructure maintenance. The road conditions are described as having "potholes," and the reviewer notes that there is "ALWAYS trash," suggesting a lack of cleanliness within the park. The reviewer also alleges that "The Freedom Group never replies or even care," implying poor communication and a lack of concern for guest issues, with the primary focus seemingly being on collecting the $750 fee. This paints a picture of potentially negligent management and a disregard for the comfort and well-being of the guests.
The negative review goes on to mention an influx of "trash campers" and claims that the advertised "bath house" does not exist. This is a significant discrepancy between advertised amenities and reality, which could greatly impact the comfort and convenience of guests. Based on these experiences, the reviewer strongly advises against staying at The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground and recommends an alternative campground in New Richmond, Ohio.
In stark contrast, another reviewer offers an overwhelmingly positive experience. This full-time RVer describes The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground as "by far the best park we've stayed at!" They highlight the peaceful and beautiful environment and praise the friendliness and fun atmosphere created by everyone, especially the management. This directly contradicts the negative portrayal of the management in the other review.
The positive reviewer specifically mentions the laundry facility as a significant amenity, especially appreciated after staying at other parks without one. They also commend the "beautiful" view of the river and state that the park is "maintained perfectly," a direct contradiction to the other reviewer's observation of constant trash and poor road conditions. This reviewer concludes by calling it "By far the best park in Southern Clermont County!" and recommends it as a "Must see!"
Given these diametrically opposed reviews, potential visitors searching for "RV parks near me" in the Felicity, Ohio area face a challenging situation. It is essential to recognize that individual experiences can vary greatly, and online reviews, while informative, represent subjective opinions. The extreme nature of the two available reviews for The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground suggests that the reality of the park might lie somewhere in between, or that there have been significant changes in management or conditions over time.
To make an informed decision, prospective guests should consider several factors. Firstly, the management's responsiveness to inquiries and concerns would be a crucial indicator of their level of care. Contacting the park directly at the provided phone numbers and asking specific questions about amenities (such as the bathhouse), maintenance procedures, and park rules could provide valuable insights. Observing the park's condition upon arrival, if possible, would also be essential to assess the accuracy of the cleanliness and maintenance claims in the reviews.
The contrasting views on the management are particularly noteworthy. The negative review portrays them as negligent and uncaring, while the positive review praises their friendliness and fun attitude. This discrepancy could be due to changes in management personnel, different expectations or experiences of the reviewers, or even the specific circumstances of their stays. However, the strong negative allegations regarding the hiring practices and lack of response from the ownership ("The Freedom Group") should not be dismissed lightly.
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" for short trips or longer stays, the availability of amenities like laundry facilities, the beauty of the natural surroundings (the river view mentioned in the positive review), and the overall peace and quiet are often important considerations. The positive review highlights these aspects as strengths of The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground. However, the negative review directly contradicts the claims of peacefulness and good maintenance.
The issue of a bathhouse is a significant one. If a bathhouse is advertised but not available, as claimed in the negative review, this would be a major inconvenience for many RVers and campers. Potential guests should explicitly inquire about the presence and condition of all advertised amenities before booking.
The mention of "trash campers moving in" in the negative review also raises concerns about the community environment within the park. While one positive experience with neighbors is not indicative of the entire park's atmosphere, a perceived decline in the quality of fellow campers could impact the overall stay.
Given the conflicting information, local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Felicity, Ohio, should approach The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground with caution. It would be wise to supplement the information from these reviews with additional research, such as checking other online review platforms or forums where more recent feedback might be available. Direct communication with the park management and, if possible, a visit to the property before making a reservation are highly recommended to form a personal assessment of the environment, services, and overall suitability of the campground.
In conclusion, the online reviews for The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground present drastically different experiences. While one reviewer praises its peaceful environment, friendly management, and amenities, the other describes it as a poorly managed and maintained "hell hole" with non-existent amenities. Potential guests searching for "RV parks near me" in Felicity, Ohio, should carefully consider these conflicting reports and conduct thorough personal research before making a decision to stay at this campground.

The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park & Campground Reviews
TERRIBLE PARK!!!! If i could rate this place a negative I would!!! We have traveled the country full time and have stayed at hundreds of parks in the last 7 years. The Freedom Group out of Nashville Tn owns this park. They hire alcoholics and transients to manage and pretend to maintain the park. They turn water or electric off with out any notice to attempt hack repair jobs that never last. The road is full of potholes and there is ALWAYS trash. The Freedom Group never replies or even care. They just collect your money and let you fend for yourself. This place is an absolute joke. If you need a campground to stay at while in this area go to the one in New Richmond OH down the road. There is so many trash campers moving in now, they advertise a bath house and don't have one. The list goes on and on. All they care about is their $750 they collect from you. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Dec 01, 2024 · Carrie HolbrookWe are full-time RVers and this is by far the best park we've stayed at! It's peaceful and beautiful, everyone (especially Management) is so friendly and fun! The laundry facility is one of the greatest amenities as we've stayed other places without one, so we truly appreciate it! The view of the river is beautiful! The park is maintained perfectly and I've enjoyed calling it home! By far the best park in Southern Clermont County! Must see!
Mar 30, 2025 · Rhonda BargerLady running this place was not good. Would demand payment and never send a bill... would scream in texts (ALL CAPS!) Maintenance was not the best either... extremely dusty and potholes everywhere. They finally fixed potholes as we left. Also, the electric bills were vastly different. One person runs more electric than we did and had a 25$ bill while others had 400$ bills. We all have campers and use about the same electricity. Bills should not vary with 100$ here or 400$ there... 25$ there, and we always had like 200-300$ bills. Not organized well. And no winter fares. So the price doesn't change with seasons. We moved to a cheaper and far better campground. Our new one is extremely clean and well kept. No dust. No potholes. And we have grass! Bear creek poured like bleach or something to kill all grass.. makes me feel like they just didn't want to mow or upkeep the property.
Nov 11, 2024 · Samuel ConnerGreat park was sketched out by the bridge at first! But transition enter and exit through the bridge was smooth like butter! 2024 brinkley 42ft fit well in campground. Manager was very friendly and welcoming would 10/10 recommend the park!
Jul 08, 2024 · Matt KacerWe were on a time crunch and they helped us out tremendously, so easy to get in touch with and willing to work with you! So far nothing but great people, the kids are loving the playset and splash pad, it’s been quiet even though there’s many campers here, lovely little spot we found! Can’t wait to spend our next few weeks here 👍
