Twin Palms RV Resort Introduce
Are you a local user in the Rio Hondo, Texas area, or perhaps just passing through and searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a welcoming atmosphere and clean facilities? Twin Palms RV Resort, located at 107 E Colorado St, Rio Hondo, TX 78583, USA, has garnered some positive feedback regarding its host and amenities, making it a potential stop for both overnight stays and potentially longer visits. However, it's important to consider all aspects of the available reviews to form a comprehensive understanding of what this RV resort offers.
One reviewer highlights the "Friendly and helpful host" at Twin Palms RV Resort. This personal touch in hospitality can significantly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park, making guests feel welcome and well-cared for. A helpful host can provide valuable information about the local area, assist with any setup issues, and contribute to a positive and comfortable environment. This initial positive feedback suggests a management that is attentive to the needs of their guests.
The same reviewer also praises the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities, stating that the "Bathrooms clean and well maintained." Clean and well-kept restrooms are a crucial amenity for any RV park, directly impacting the comfort and satisfaction of guests. This positive comment indicates that Twin Palms RV Resort prioritizes the hygiene and upkeep of this essential facility.
For pet owners, the reviewer mentions a "Canal walk was convenient and the only place to walk a dog." This suggests that Twin Palms RV Resort acknowledges and provides for guests traveling with pets. Having a designated area for dog walking is a significant convenience for pet owners. However, the same reviewer also notes a significant drawback: "but a lot of dog poop and trash." This is a crucial point to consider for pet owners and other guests who value a clean and pleasant environment. It implies that while a dog-walking area is available, some users may not be responsible for cleaning up after their pets, and there might be an issue with general litter along this pathway.
The second review provides insights into the experience of arriving late at night and the quality of the RV sites. The reviewer recounts, "We came in on Xmas at around 8pm. Sure enough, somebody came outside and greeted us and helped us find a spot." This reinforces the idea of a friendly and helpful host, as someone was willing to assist with check-in even at a late hour on a holiday. This level of service can be particularly reassuring for travelers arriving outside of typical business hours.
The specific RV site occupied by the second reviewer was a "pull through with a nice concrete slab for a patio." Pull-through sites are highly desirable for many RVers as they eliminate the need to back in, making setup and departure much easier, especially for larger rigs. The presence of a concrete slab for a patio adds to the comfort and usability of the site, providing a clean and level outdoor space for relaxation.
Since the stay was only overnight, the second reviewer did not utilize all the amenities but did note the functionality of the electrical hookup: "Electric box was in good order, surge protector showed the power was good, so no hassles." Reliable electrical service is essential for RVers, and this positive feedback indicates that the electrical infrastructure at the site was well-maintained and functioning correctly.
The reviewer also mentioned, "Did not hook up water as it was too cold to do," which implies that water hookups are available at the sites, although their condition was not assessed due to the weather. The fact that they were present is a standard expectation for most RV parks.
Overall, the second reviewer "Highly recommend for an overnight" stay and notes that the "Price was good." This suggests that Twin Palms RV Resort offers a good value for a short stay, combining friendly service, convenient site features, and functional utilities at a reasonable cost.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Twin Palms RV Resort appears to be generally welcoming, with a friendly and helpful host contributing to a positive atmosphere. The presence of a canal walk provides a designated area for pet walking, although the cleanliness along this pathway seems to be an issue. The sites themselves, at least the pull-through one experienced, offer desirable features like concrete patios.
The services include a host who is available and helpful, even for late arrivals. The availability of pull-through RV sites is a significant convenience. Essential utilities such as electricity appear to be in good working order, and water hookups are likely available. The clean and well-maintained bathrooms are another key service that enhances the guest experience.
Features of the resort include pull-through RV sites, concrete patios at some sites, electrical hookups, and likely water and sewer hookups (though the latter was not explicitly mentioned or used in the reviews). The canal walk serves as a pet-friendly feature, although its cleanliness needs improvement.
There is no promotional information provided in the reviews. Local users interested in daily or weekly rates, seasonal specials, or any other promotional offers should contact Twin Palms RV Resort directly using the provided phone numbers: (956) 903-9570 or +1 956-903-9570.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Rio Hondo, Texas, Twin Palms RV Resort presents a mixed but generally positive picture. The friendly and helpful host and the clean bathrooms are significant advantages. The availability of pull-through sites, especially for overnight stays, adds to its appeal. However, potential guests, particularly pet owners, should be aware of the reported cleanliness issues along the canal walk. For longer stays, it would be beneficial to inquire about other amenities such as laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and the overall layout and environment of the park beyond the specific experiences mentioned in the reviews.
In conclusion, Twin Palms RV Resort in Rio Hondo, TX, offers a welcoming experience with a friendly host and clean, well-maintained bathrooms. It is particularly recommended for overnight stays due to its convenient pull-through sites and good pricing. While it provides a canal walk for dog owners, the issue of cleanliness in that area should be noted. Local users seeking a reliable and friendly RV park in the Rio Hondo area should consider Twin Palms RV Resort, but it would be wise to contact them directly for more comprehensive information about their amenities and policies, especially if planning a longer stay or traveling with pets.

Oct 26, 2024 · Susan BrownA nice little campground. We came in on Xmas at around 8pm. Sure enough, somebody came outside and greeted us and helped us find a spot. A pull through with a nice concrete slab for a patio. We were only staying the night, so we didn't need any other amenities. Electric box was in good order, surge protector showed the power was good, so no hassles. Did not hook up water as it was too cold to do.Highly recommend for an overnight. Price was good.
Dec 27, 2022 · Rick SteelmanIt's the friendliest community I've ever experienced. Everyone goes out of their way to learn your name and say hello. Everyone seems to know when you need a pick me up moment; cards and friendly reminders happen regularly. And management is a dream! Easy to talk to because humanly invested in the happiness of the park as a whole. GREAT place to visit. You'll feel welcomed here. I certainly did and do. ❤❤❤
Jun 04, 2021 · Amber ClevengerStayed there for a month until we bought a home. Very nice people and lots were reasonable. The hot tub is tiny and not hot!Management was so nice, would stay there again if needed.
Apr 17, 2023 · Shari GearhartSites are too close together. Rates are expensive compared to where we were last year in AZ for what you get. The laundry and clubhouse are not air conditioned and it's hot in them both. Have not used the pool or hot tub yet. Hot tub is very small and would be lucky to get 2 people in it. They do have ice cream socials in Sundays which is nice. They have jam sessions occasionally. They have breakfasts and dinners too occasionally as well.
