Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec is situated in Arnold, a city in Jefferson County, Missouri, offering residents access to the amenities and services of the area. Arnold provides a suburban environment with proximity to the Meramec River and various local attractions. Understanding the specific environment and features of an RV park is crucial when considering it for either a short getaway or a longer-term stay.
Based on the available customer reviews, Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec presents a somewhat mixed picture. One reviewer, who stayed over a holiday weekend, described it as more of a long-term living RV park rather than a weekend getaway destination. They noted that while the tenants were quiet, there was significant noise from Highway 141, given the park's location directly behind a used car dealer. This reviewer also mentioned challenges with backing an RV into their assigned spot (837), suggesting it might not be easily navigable for all RV sizes or experience levels. Contrary to the park's name, they pointed out that it is not directly on the water's edge, requiring a walk through "questionable woods" to access the Meramec River. This reviewer also observed considerable traffic in and out of the woods after dark, as well as random propane tanks, leftover truck bed liners, and a busted, uneven concrete pad at their site. While acknowledging that some other sites appeared newer, this reviewer did not recommend the park at the time of their stay, despite finding the price acceptable for a holiday weekend.
In contrast, another reviewer had a much more positive experience, describing Water’s Edge RV Park as "great" and "well maintained" with "fair prices." They praised the clean laundry facility, the "spectacular" neighbors, and the "nice and responsive" management. This reviewer also noted that the concrete sites were spacious and that the park was mostly bordered by trees. The only drawback they mentioned was street noise from a local highway, which they mitigated using a fan for white noise. This reviewer stayed for seven months and indicated they would stay again.
These contrasting perspectives suggest that the experience at Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec can vary. Factors such as the specific site assigned and individual sensitivities to noise and the surrounding environment appear to play a significant role.
Considering the features mentioned in the positive review, Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec offers:
- Clean Laundry Facility: This is a significant convenience for long-term RV residents.
- Spacious Concrete Sites: Concrete pads can provide a stable and clean base for RVs.
- Tree-Bordered Park: The natural surroundings can enhance the aesthetic appeal and provide some shade and privacy.
- Nice and Responsive Management: Good management is crucial for a positive living experience.
- Spectacular Neighbors: A friendly community can greatly improve the quality of life for residents.
- Fair Prices: Affordability is an important consideration for both short-term and long-term stays.
However, potential drawbacks, as highlighted in the negative review, include:
- Noise from Highway 141: This could be a significant issue for noise-sensitive individuals.
- Location Behind a Used Car Dealer: The immediate surroundings might not be aesthetically pleasing to all.
- Difficult Site Access (at least for some sites): Maneuvering larger RVs into certain spots might be challenging.
- Not Directly on the Water’s Edge: Access to the Meramec River requires a walk through potentially undesirable woods.
- Concerns about the Woods: Traffic in and out of the woods after dark could raise safety concerns for some.
- Site Condition Issues (at least for some sites): Busted and uneven concrete pads, along with the presence of discarded items, indicate potential inconsistencies in site quality.
- Primarily a Long-Term Park: May not be ideally suited for short weekend getaways seeking a resort-style experience.
When searching for "RV parks near me," it is important to specify your needs, whether you are looking for a short-term recreational stay or a longer-term living arrangement. Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec appears to cater more towards long-term residents, although they might accommodate short stays as well.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec, prospective visitors or residents should contact the management directly at (636) 212-2759 or +1 636-212-2759. Key inquiries should include:
- Availability of sites and their suitability for your RV size and type.
- Current rates for daily, weekly, and monthly stays.
- Specific details about the location of available sites in relation to the highway and the river access.
- Information about the condition of the sites, particularly the concrete pads.
- Any rules or regulations regarding access to the wooded area and the river.
- Details about the laundry facilities and any other amenities offered.
- Policies regarding noise levels and any measures taken to mitigate highway noise.
- The management's presence and responsiveness to resident concerns.
Visiting Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec in person would also be highly beneficial. This would allow you to assess the noise levels from Highway 141, the proximity and accessibility of the Meramec River, the condition of the RV sites, and the overall environment of the park. If possible, speaking with current residents could provide additional insights into the day-to-day living experience at the park.
While one reviewer found the price fair for a holiday weekend, it is important to inquire about the standard pricing and any potential discounts for longer stays. The positive feedback regarding the management's responsiveness and the friendly neighbors suggests a community that could be appealing for long-term RV living, provided that the drawbacks mentioned in the negative review are not significant concerns for your individual needs and preferences.
Ultimately, deciding whether Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec is the right choice for you will depend on your specific requirements, your tolerance for highway noise, your expectations regarding river access, and the type of RV experience you are seeking. Thoroughly investigating the park and directly communicating with the management are essential steps in making an informed decision.

Water’s Edge Rv Park on the Meramec Reviews
The tenants are very quiet. However, there's a lot of noise from Hwy 141 and it's located directly behind a used car dealer. Had my husband not been an experienced driver, there's no way someone would be able to back their camper/rv into spot 837. It's not on the waters edge. There is a path you can take through some very questionable woods and there was a lot of traffic in and out of the woods after dark. There was also random propane tanks, leftover truckbed liners, concrete pad was busted and uneven. Some of the other sites were newer. This is a long term living camper/rv park, not a weekend getaway type park. Price was fine for a holiday weekend, but absolutely nothing what we expected. I think it's a work in progress, but wouldn't recommend at this time unfortunately.
Sep 02, 2024 · V DGreat RV park. Well maintained, prices are fair, laundry facility is clean, neighbors are spectacular, management is nice and responsive, concrete sites are spacious and the park is bordered mostly by trees. Only one draw back was the street noise from local highway. I mitigated this with a fan for white noise. Stayed here seven months and would stay again.
