Wylie Overlook Manufactured Housing Community Introduce
For local users in the Charlotte, North Carolina region who are exploring options under the category of "RV Parks Near Me" and are considering manufactured housing communities or potentially long-term RV stays in Belmont, North Carolina, Wylie Overlook Manufactured Housing Community, located at 3 Greenway Cir, Belmont, NC 28012, USA, presents a community with contrasting feedback regarding its management and overall resident experience. You can reach them at their phone number: (803) 831-7000 or their mobile number: +1 803-831-7000 for inquiries about residency and policies.
While the platform category "RV Parks Near Me" typically focuses on temporary or short-term accommodations for recreational vehicles, it can also serve as a point of discovery for individuals seeking longer-term housing solutions, including manufactured housing communities that may accommodate RVs on an extended basis. Therefore, it is essential to examine the available information about Wylie Overlook Manufactured Housing Community to provide a balanced introduction for local users considering various long-term living options near Charlotte.
The online reviews for Wylie Overlook Manufactured Housing Community offer a polarized view of the community, particularly concerning its management. One detailed and highly critical review comes from someone whose father has lived in the community for over ten years and owns his home there. This long-term connection provides a significant perspective on the changes and current state of the management. The reviewer expresses strong dissatisfaction with the frequent changes in management and highlights a recent issue regarding towing. They claim that a tow sign was erected without warning or notice to residents, resulting in numerous vehicles being towed nightly in what they perceive as "pure meanness." The most concerning aspect of this issue is the alleged unresponsiveness of the office to tenants while seemingly being readily available to the tow company to set up the contract. This lack of communication and support for residents is a major point of contention.
Adding to the negative experience, the same reviewer recounts a significant infrastructure problem where sewer backup on "THEIR end" prevented residents from using water or flushing toilets for over a week. They claim that the management was unresponsive during this crisis, offering no answers or apologies, forcing residents to contact the city for assistance. This paints a picture of a management team that is not only uncommunicative but also neglectful of essential maintenance and resident well-being. The reviewer concludes with a strong recommendation against the area and the management's unprofessionalism, emphasizing the expectation of timely rent payments without reciprocal responsiveness from the management. This negative experience has prompted the reviewer and their family to move out and share their experience publicly.
In stark contrast, another reviewer who visits friends and family annually describes the community as "beautiful." This positive aesthetic impression is a significant factor for prospective residents. Furthermore, this reviewer recounts a pleasant experience inquiring about rates at the office, specifically mentioning "Janette" as "an absolute delight." They highly recommend the community to those seeking a location close to Charlotte but removed from the city's intensity. This positive feedback highlights the potential appeal of Wylie Overlook's location and the positive interaction with at least one member of the office staff.
Considering these conflicting reviews, Wylie Overlook Manufactured Housing Community appears to offer a visually appealing environment in a location that balances proximity to Charlotte with a more suburban feel. However, there are serious concerns raised by a long-term resident regarding the management's communication, responsiveness to critical infrastructure issues, and policies affecting residents (such as the sudden towing without notice). The positive interaction with a staff member during an inquiry about rates suggests that not all interactions are negative, but the significant issues raised by the long-term resident cannot be ignored.
To provide a more detailed introduction, we can consider the typical environment, services, and features of a manufactured housing community. These usually include individual lots for residents who own their manufactured homes and lease the land. The community typically provides utility hookups (electricity, water, sewer) and maintains common areas such as roads and landscaping. Some communities also offer amenities like clubhouses, pools, or laundry facilities, although these are not specifically mentioned in the reviews for Wylie Overlook.
Based on the "beautiful" description, the environment of Wylie Overlook may be well-maintained and visually appealing. The location in Belmont, NC, suggests a setting that is close enough to Charlotte for convenience but offers a more relaxed, suburban atmosphere. This could be a significant draw for those seeking a quieter lifestyle while still having access to the amenities of a major city.
Services and features at Wylie Overlook likely include:
- Individual lot rentals for manufactured homes.
- Utility hookups (electricity, water, sewer) at each site.
- Maintenance of common areas and roadways.
- Management office to handle inquiries and community administration.
- Potentially, other amenities not mentioned in the reviews.
The negative review highlights a severe lack of responsiveness from the management regarding essential services (sewer backup) and policy changes (towing). This raises serious concerns about the reliability and professionalism of the management team, which could significantly impact the quality of life for residents.
The positive review mentions inquiring about rates, suggesting that Wylie Overlook is actively seeking new residents. However, no specific promotional information or incentives are mentioned. Local users interested in this community should directly inquire about current lot rental rates, any fees, and the availability of lots for manufactured homes or long-term RV stays (if applicable).
In conclusion, Wylie Overlook Manufactured Housing Community in Belmont, NC, offers a potentially attractive location near Charlotte and a visually appealing environment. However, prospective residents must be aware of the serious concerns raised by a long-term resident regarding the management's lack of communication, poor responsiveness to critical issues, and potentially unfair policies. While one positive interaction with a staff member during a rate inquiry is noted, the significant negative experiences reported cannot be dismissed. Local users exploring long-term housing options under "RV Parks Near Me" should proceed with caution, conduct thorough due diligence by contacting the management with specific questions about their concerns, visiting the community to assess the environment and infrastructure, and if possible, speaking with current residents to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the living experience at Wylie Overlook.

Wylie Overlook Manufactured Housing Community Reviews
My dad has lived here for over 10 years, he owns his home. They have changed management over and over and now they put a tow sign up and we didn't know, we didn't get a warning notice nothing. Now every night everybody is having there vehicles towed just out of pure meaness. But THEY won't answer the office for anyone but can talk to a tow company get a contract set up but won't respond to there tenants. A few months ago we couldn't use our water flush toilets take showers nothing cause our sewer was back up on THEIR end. And it took over a week no answer from them no apologies no nothing we had to call the city just to get answers. I wouldn't recommend this aera to anyone!!!! It's not professional what so ever. They expect you to keep your rent paid and this and that but you can't get in touch with them. They are sorry. And I promise you we are moving and I'm leaving this review cause it's about time people see what kind of management this is.
Jul 28, 2023 · Hannah NicholsI come here every year to vist friends and family and this community is beautiful. I went to inquire about rates at the office and Janette was an absolute delight. Highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a place that is close to Charlotte but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Aug 04, 2023 · Sage MilesI’ve enjoyed the lake view, the community itself, as well as the staff that runs the community. The manager Janette is an absolutely wonderful lady, and she’s taken care of any requests as needed.Great park. Thanks!
Aug 07, 2023 · Dylan JamesI have lived here almost 29 years I have seen property management come and go.this New manager won't respond to your phone calls and nobody has met her.josh goes above and beyond to get things done I rate him a 10 .they need to clean up the field to make it look better and a safer Walk down to the water after all they want us to maintain our property how come they won't clean up the field.it looks awful.. I've been trying to get the information that I need to setup online to pay My lot rent and they won't send me what I need instead of having to go to Walmart to pay it...This Park needs to make resident's clean up their property and make parents pay closer watch on their kids especially the one's not in school yet they are going to get hit the way some of the way people drive..I try to maintain My place.. but getting the property management needs to respond to our phone calls...I've stopped some of the people driving through My yard and My yard is not a drive through for you to get home quicker I don't want a trail through My yard.
