Arndt's Aroostook River Lodge Reviews
Camped here for a night and had a wonderful stay.I had a long day of cycling to get here so when I finally arrived I was exhausted. Athena was very nice and checked me in quickly and got me some water. We got to chatting and she roped in the owners, Clare and Bob(?) and we all chatted for a good while. They were all super friendly and it was amazing to just rest and hang out with some people after a long day of riding. Clare even donated to my charity fundraiser, which was unexpected but obviously much appreciated. My spot was a bit up the road tucked in between some large trees which provided plenty of shade and cover. The ground was soft and just right for my tent stakes. It was also close enough to other campers to be comfortable without infringing on their space or mine. The bath house facilities were nice and clean, with plenty of toilets, sinks, and showers. The shower got plenty hot. There is also a pool which didn't seem heated, so it was a little chilly, but even late in the season (end of August) it was comfortable. The campground is on a decent hill, making for great sunsets looking towards the camp entrance. There was a balloon festival the morning I left, so that was a nice little bonus.
Oct 20, 2024 · John WendebornWe had a truly incredible experience. They were able to give us a nice spot with our dog, at the last minute. It is beautifully maintained and fun. Friendly and accommodating staff. We will definitely be back next summer!
Aug 05, 2024 · KRISTALYN PHIPPSStayed here for a few months this summer. The other campers were HORRIBLE, but the campground and owners are absolutely lovely. Prices were quite reasonable. They were VERY good about mowing the grass and doing other maintenance. The bathhouse was lovely, nice hot showers. Loved the nature trails. Only gripe besides rude campers is the pool was only open 11-6, when I always want to swim before or after that.
Dec 02, 2023 · Ann E.Super campground! Very nice people. There were some "questionable" people who were tent camping. The staff immediately took care of the situation. We didn't notice not getting our deposit credit, but the owner did and came to tell us and made sure we got the credit. Super honest and nice people!
Jun 25, 2024 · Cyndi BissenLove, love, loved our stay here. We have a 44 foot 5th wheel and had plenty of room with the pull through sites. Variety of hook up options, which includes full service 50amp. Clean and well maintained play ground/ pool areas, grounds in general. Bath house centrally located with free hot water showers and flushing toilets. My only improvement suggestions would be extending pool hours and filling in the potholes further into the park. We are already excited about our stay next year. Oh, and it's right next to a golf course and fitness trails! The cabins are amazing too!! The decor is my favorite, and I found fans placed in each room a very thoughtful addition. The cabins are cozy and furnished.
