A unique and highly appreciated feature of some campsites at Black Bear Plantation is the inclusion of a carport. The levelness of the campsites is another noteworthy feature. One camper specifically mentioned that their "campsite was so level my auto level would not work had too lower manually." The accessibility to the Ocoee and Hiwassee Rivers is another significant advantage. These rivers offer fantastic opportunities for outdoor activities such as walking, unwinding by the water, and potentially other water-based recreation depending on access points and regulations. Black Bear Plantation, LLC (Campsites) Reviews
The campground host, Bob, is very nice and easy to work with. The location is great if you want to be out away from everything. The sunsets are awesome and the wildlife is cool too! I saw a bobcat one night, right outside my RV!
Apr 24, 2025 · Pete SchwagerCampsite with carport was excellent the only way to camp. It rained and rugs/chair all dry. Let me tell you about the Host and Family so wonderful, with warmest hospitality and caring heart about our stay. The campsite was so level my auto level would not work had too lower manually. We needed a break, and this was an excellent location. Very close to the apple orchard went every other day for apple turnovers. The fall colors were grand. And the river's close by Ocoee and Hiwassee just the place to walk and unwind. Thank you! We will see you again soon!
Nov 16, 2024 · Mitz BazzellBlack Bear plantation is a hidden gem located in a very quiet area but close enough to easily enjoy Chattanooga and very close to Ocoee Lake for all the nature lovers. Camp sites are spacious with plenty of room for big Riggs. Sites have full hookups. loved the contactless check in. Owners are very friendly and responsive to any questions. Sites have beautiful scenery with sites of deer. Beautiful peaceful spot & we will definitely go back. Highly recommend.
Oct 20, 2024 · D TThe campsite was in pristine condition when we arrived. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. They made everything so easy. We arrived late and were so pleased with their contactless check in - they have a QR code at the site that you can scan and check in.The covered RV space we stayed in was fantastic - no need to worry about the weather or having to worry about our awning being out if it got windy. We really relaxed here!We were also very impressed with how much land has been dedicated to the site as well as the amazing sunset views.Oh - and this internet that is available is high-speed!This is DEFINITELY on our list for future visits! We will be back soon!!
