Black Diamond Guest Ranch Introduce
Looking for a unique "camping near me" experience that combines the comfort of a cabin with access to incredible Montana adventures? Consider Black Diamond Guest Ranch, located at 1281 E DeBorgia Haugan, Frontage Road, De Borgia, MT 59830, USA. While technically a guest ranch offering cabin stays, it serves as an excellent option for those seeking a step up from traditional tent camping while still immersing themselves in the beauty of the Montana landscape.
Based on customer feedback, the hospitality at Black Diamond Guest Ranch appears to be a standout feature. One remarkable review highlights the immense helpfulness of Isaac, presumably a staff member, who went above and beyond to assist a family with a flat tire, even driving them to a tire shop in the next state and allowing them to wait in a cabin. This level of service suggests a strong commitment to guest well-being and a welcoming atmosphere.
Another reviewer utilized Black Diamond Guest Ranch as a "Basecamp for the week," using its location to explore the renowned Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, as well as experiencing the scenic Hiawatha Trail. This suggests that the guest ranch's location offers strategic access to some of the region's major attractions, making it an ideal choice for travelers looking to explore a wider area. While the distances to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks would require day trips, the convenience of having a comfortable and hospitable base to return to each evening is a significant advantage.
The mention of the Hiawatha Trail is also noteworthy for outdoor enthusiasts. This popular rail-to-trail conversion is known for its stunning scenery and tunnels, attracting cyclists and hikers. Staying at Black Diamond Guest Ranch provides a convenient option for those planning to experience this local gem.
Beyond its strategic location, the positive comments about the staff being "great and hospitable" indicate a welcoming and friendly environment. This can significantly enhance a guest's stay, making them feel more comfortable and at home. While the reviews provided don't offer extensive details about the cabins themselves, the fact that one stranded traveler was offered shelter in a cabin suggests they are comfortable and well-maintained enough to host guests, even in unexpected circumstances.
The recommendation to visit the Montana Bar, just a few minutes away, for what are described as "the best wings you'll find anywhere" adds a local flavor to the experience. This suggests that while staying at Black Diamond Guest Ranch, guests also have the opportunity to explore local dining options and perhaps interact with the community.
Considering the "camping near me" category, Black Diamond Guest Ranch offers a more structured and comfortable alternative to traditional camping. The cabins provide shelter and likely beds, offering a respite from the elements and potentially more amenities than a typical campsite. While the reviews don't detail the specific features of the cabins, the overall impression is of a hospitable place that serves as a great base for exploring the surrounding natural wonders and local attractions.
To get a better understanding of the specific amenities and types of cabins available, it would be beneficial to contact Black Diamond Guest Ranch directly at (406) 678-4000 or their mobile number, +1 406-678-4000. You can inquire about the different cabin options, their features (such as bedding, kitchenettes, bathrooms), and any other services offered at the guest ranch.
Based on the available information, Black Diamond Guest Ranch offers:
- Comfortable cabin accommodations, providing an alternative to traditional camping.
- Exceptional hospitality, as highlighted by the helpfulness of the staff.
- A strategic location for exploring Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, as well as the Hiawatha Trail.

For local users seeking "camping near me" with the added comfort and convenience of a cabin, and a location that serves as a fantastic base for regional exploration, Black Diamond Guest Ranch appears to be a strong contender. Black Diamond Guest Ranch Reviews
Although I didn’t stay here, Issac was immensely helpful. I was driving back from Vancouver with my family and our tire popped. We’re from B.C and had ways to travel, Issac ensured he would help us, from changing our tire, driving us to the next state to a tire shop, and putting the tire on for us. He let us wait in the cabin and was super accommodating. His service is immaculate and he is the kindest person ever!!
Dec 01, 2024 · Allison NewmanWe made this place our Basecamp for the week. From there we went to both Yellowstone, and Glacier National. We also road the Hiawatha. Staff was great and hospitable. While you're there, go to the Montana Bar just a few minutes away and have the best wings you'll find anywhere.
Sep 01, 2024 · Joe DossAt first glance, we were very excited about this place. Our cabin was very cute and cozy and seemed to be very tidy inside. The rate seemed fair and they allow pets. However, as we were crawling into bed on the first night, we discovered all of the sheets, pillowcases, and blankets were covered in hair and clumps of long hair. The next morning, we left a message on the office phone asking for a change of bedding while we were gone for the day. There was no reply to the message and we returned to the cabin to find it exactly how we had left it. Overall, the cleanliness of the place and lack of communication was highly disappointing.
Jan 18, 2022 · Kayla PedersonWhat an awesome stay. Our host was very kind and made sure we were doing well on our stay, occasionally. We stayed in the bunkhouse, and it was awesome. The accommodations were cozy, the area was beautiful, and it was just a fun, great time. I would highly recommend the stay. If I had to make any kind of complaint, it would only be that a couple of light bulbs needed changing. Considering that's my only complaint, I think you can guess how great our stay was.
Jul 05, 2020 · Joel ManningThis place is a hidden gem, Horses, snow machines, ATVs, don't bring them, they have them all. Small to very large family cabins clean and wild west is all I got to say, Owner is a Joy to talk with and gave us free coffee. loved hanging out with him and talking in the recreational hall with a pool table, full Kitchen to fit any venue needs. The down side it's on the interstate access rd, but the rest is so amazing, you will forget about it fast and the night time hwy traffic is slim to none so you sleep like a baby. As most of our followers know, If we recommend it, then it is worth staying at over any other place nearby. Enjoy your stay, We sure did and will return many times over.
