Broken Arrow Campground Introduce
Are you planning a camping trip in Central Oregon, perhaps with the majestic Crater Lake on your itinerary? Consider Broken Arrow Campground, located at NF-4795, Crescent, OR 97733, USA. For those searching under the category of 'camping near me,' Broken Arrow Campground presents itself as a compelling option, offering a combination of desirable amenities and a convenient location near natural attractions. While it may not be directly on the lake, its proximity and the features it offers make it a noteworthy choice for your outdoor adventure.
The feedback from campers who have experienced Broken Arrow Campground provides valuable insights into what you can expect. One reviewer describes it as a "Nice campground" with the significant plus of "clean bathrooms." This is often a high priority for campers, indicating a well-maintained facility. However, this reviewer also cautions about the "Tons of mosquitoes, so bring repellent," a crucial piece of advice for anyone planning a visit, suggesting the campground is located in an area where these insects are prevalent, particularly during certain times of the year. The review clarifies that there is "No lake view," but the beach is "about 5 minutes walking," indicating relatively easy access to a nearby lake for recreation. Finally, it's noted that "Campsites are pretty close to each other," which might be a consideration for those seeking more secluded sites. A significant advantage highlighted is its proximity to a major attraction: "And it's only 20 minutes driving to the beautiful Crater Lake."
Another camper offers a more enthusiastic review, calling it an "Amazing campground." They specifically praise the availability of "Hot showers and nice bathrooms with electrical outlets and water spickets throughout the grounds." These amenities elevate the camping experience beyond the purely primitive, offering added comfort and convenience. This reviewer also notes that it "still has a very primitive feel though," suggesting a balance between modern conveniences and a natural camping ambiance. Adding to its appeal, they mention "a beautiful lake directly across the street," which seems to contradict the first reviewer's statement about a 5-minute walk. This discrepancy might indicate different perceptions of proximity or access points, or perhaps the "across the street" lake is different from the one requiring a short walk. It's worth noting both perspectives. The overall positive tone of this review further solidifies Broken Arrow Campground as a desirable option for 'camping near me' in the Crescent area.

Broken Arrow Campground Reviews
Nice campground, clean bathrooms. Tons of mosquitoes, so bring repellent. No lake view, it's about 5 minutes walking to the beach. Campsites are pretty close to each other. And it's only 20 minutes driving to the beautiful Crater Lake.
Jul 09, 2021 · Darya ShestakovaAmazing campground. Hot showers and nice bathrooms with electrical outlets and water spickets throughout the grounds. It still has a very primitive feel though and to top it off theres a beautiful lake directly across the street.
Sep 07, 2023 · Jordan “CRVNE” DuBoiseNice quiet location, bathrooms and showers clean. Easy access to diamond lake, crater lake, and lots of hiking trails nearby. No hookups, but dump station was available.
Jan 08, 2025 · Jeremy DuBoseIt would have been the smoke but this campground was a ghost town! We only had two campers around us and 5 empty sites. Good trees to toss up your hammock. The walk to diamond lake is short and a cute little pizza place is right there with ice cream if you need a break from camp cooking. If there wasn't smoke it could have had a view of Mt. Thielsen
Aug 29, 2018 · Shannon MillardGreat campground located only 10 minutes from Crater Lake National Park. Campsites are fairly close to each other so not a lot of privacy. Diamond Lake is within walking distance. In the summer just be prepared for a terrible amount of bugs flying around. Bring bug spray and pray that the bugs will leave you alone.
