Butler / Mohican KOA Journey Reviews
We always love this campground. It’s in the hills on the edge of Amish country and absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We love the lake and pond and the amenities, as well as the staff who makes us feel at home. Despite being part of the KOA franchise, this feels like a small family business. They have great activities and amenities with lots of repeat visitors. I love that it’s off the beaten path and not near any big cities or highways. The surrounding area is really scenic and usually not crowded. We love to go hiking at nearby Mohican State Park.
Oct 30, 2024 · Mary WysongNice place, but a long ride from I-71. Nice scenery, hookups were easy, with a friendly staff. There is a lot to see and do in the area, though we were just passing through. There are some bike trails close by that also accommodate e-bikes. I wish I could have stayed there longer and checked out all the local attractions.
Oct 03, 2024 · George RossQuiet rustic park in the country with everything you need. Sites are gravel with gravel interior roads. Sites vary in length and leveling required ours only required a couple of blocks, most are stair stepped in the hill . Ours was full hookups that work as they should. We didn’t use the pool since we were there before season but it looks great. Bathrooms are modern and clean. Owner was very nice. Would stay here again
May 06, 2024 · Keith ConleyI stayed there with my son. The sole purpose of staying was the pool and the mini golf. Unfortunately, the pool was closed! We did find other options for swimming but still disappointing. The mini golf course is falling apart! The course was bad, just falling apart, to the point our balls would get stuck! The carpet is old , course uneven , course uneven and course props rotted. The playground was decent and camping stops were nice and shaded. The staff did not offer to refund some funds. I wish the website would have been information regarding the pool closures.
Jul 23, 2024 · Veronica Lessard-OharaThis is a really nice, small, and quiet KOA. The staff were very friendly (Looks like kids run the show, didn't see any adults) but, they ran it great. Our check-in and check-out was very quick and smooth. Their shop is one of the most affordable ones I've been in and it's kept very clean. We went for Father's day and they had activities, but I wish the posted more about them when we checked in so we knew more about what was going on that weekend. They're fishing pond was very nice and we caught a decent amount of fish. The campsites seem to be well kept and clean. The bathrooms were clean but, I wish they had better water pressure and it would have been helpful to have a family bathroom since we have little ones. Trying to shower the little ones in the normal bath house was very cramped. All in all, very nice and friendly campground.
