Caesar Ford Park Campground Introduce
Looking for a new and well-equipped campground in the "camping near me" category? Consider Caesar Ford Park Campground, located at 210 S Stringtown Rd, Xenia, OH 45385, USA. You can reach them at (937) 562-6440 or via mobile at +1 937-562-6440 for inquiries and reservations. This recently opened (2024) county-owned campground offers a promising experience for RV enthusiasts and those interested in horse camping and access to bike trails. Based on recent customer feedback, Caesar Ford Park Campground presents a blend of modern amenities and natural attractions, though potential visitors should be aware of certain aspects highlighted in the reviews.
The environment of Caesar Ford Park Campground appears to be situated within a scenic area of Xenia, Ohio, providing access to outdoor recreational opportunities. One notable feature mentioned in the reviews is the access to a bike trail system. This suggests that the campground is likely located in or near an area with established trails suitable for cycling enthusiasts of various skill levels. This provides a fantastic opportunity for campers to explore the local surroundings, enjoy some exercise, and immerse themselves in the natural landscape of the region. Additionally, the presence of a "horse camp with trails" indicates that the area offers equestrian trails, allowing campers who bring their horses to enjoy riding and exploring the designated paths. The overall environment seems geared towards outdoor activities and enjoying the natural beauty of the Xenia area.
In terms of services and features, Caesar Ford Park Campground currently boasts 12 full hookup sites. This is a significant advantage for RV campers, as full hookups typically include connections for electricity (50 amps as mentioned in a review), water, and sewer, providing a comfortable and convenient camping experience. The review also notes that the parking pads are big and pull-thru, making it easier for larger RVs to navigate and set up. The fact that the campground is new (as of 2024) suggests that the facilities are likely in good condition. Furthermore, the mention of a "horse camp" indicates that there are specific amenities and areas designed for campers with horses, although details about these specific amenities (beyond the trails) are not provided in the reviews. It is also mentioned that more sites are planned for the following year, suggesting potential future expansion of the campground's capacity.
However, the customer reviews also highlight some important considerations. One camper noted some highway noise due to the campground being located approximately one mile away from a highway. This is something that light sleepers or those particularly sensitive to noise might want to take into account when choosing a site. Another review provided a less positive experience specifically related to camping with horses. This review mentioned an interaction with a ranger regarding horse manure and restrictions on having horses by the campsite, despite the reviewer's interpretation of the rules allowing it for tacking and untacking. This suggests that there might be specific and potentially strict regulations regarding horses within the campground area, and it is crucial for potential horse campers to thoroughly understand and adhere to these rules. The reviewer also described an unhelpful encounter with a ranger regarding a tack issue, which raises concerns about the level of assistance provided in such situations. Therefore, while the campground offers a horse camp with trails, individuals planning to camp with horses should seek detailed clarification on all related rules and regulations beforehand to ensure a positive experience.
From a promotional perspective for local users searching for "camping near me," Caesar Ford Park Campground offers several appealing features. The fact that it is a new facility (as of 2024) implies modern amenities and potentially a well-maintained environment. The availability of 12 full hookup sites with 50-amp service is a significant draw for RV owners seeking convenience and comfort. The presence of a horse camp with trails caters to a specific niche of outdoor enthusiasts in the region. Moreover, the access to a bike trail system opens up opportunities for recreational cycling, making it attractive to individuals and families who enjoy biking. The large pull-thru parking pads are a practical benefit for RVers, simplifying the setup process.
However, in the spirit of providing an objective introduction based on the available information, it is essential to also convey the potential drawbacks mentioned in the reviews. The highway noise might be a concern for some campers seeking a completely tranquil environment. The experience shared by the horse camper suggests that there might be specific and strictly enforced rules regarding horses, which could impact the enjoyment of those camping with equines. Potential horse campers should proactively contact the campground management at (937) 562-6440 or +1 937-562-6440 to obtain detailed information about the horse camp rules, regulations, and any specific amenities provided for horses and their owners. It would also be prudent to inquire about the proximity of campsites to the highway and the potential level of noise experienced at different locations within the campground.
For local users considering Caesar Ford Park Campground for their next camping trip, it presents a modern option with full hookup RV sites, access to bike trails, and facilities for horse camping. The newness of the campground suggests potentially high-quality infrastructure. However, it is recommended to be aware of the potential for highway noise and, if planning to camp with horses, to thoroughly investigate and understand all the relevant rules and regulations by directly contacting the campground management. The planned expansion with more sites in the future indicates a growing facility that could offer even more options for local campers in the years to come.
In summary, Caesar Ford Park Campground in Xenia, Ohio, offers a range of amenities for local campers, including new full hookup RV sites, a horse camp with trails, and access to bike trails. While the majority of the features appear positive, potential campers should be mindful of the reported highway noise and, especially if camping with horses, should directly contact the campground to obtain comprehensive information about the specific rules and facilities related to equestrian camping. This will help ensure a well-informed decision and a more enjoyable camping experience at Caesar Ford Park Campground.

Caesar Ford Park Campground Reviews
Nice, new (2024) county owned campground. $45 / night, 12 full hookups only at this time, more sites next year. Big pull thru parking pads 50 amps. Horse camp too with trails. Access to bike trail system. The only negative I have is some highway noise (1 mile away).
Jun 15, 2024 · Don RootIf you have horses do not come here to camp. We had literally just come off the trail from a ride and the ranger got on our case about one pile of poop that was in the drive way. And they we couldn't have our horses by our campsite, eventhough in the rules if says you can have the horses there to tack up and untack. Then when we said that he claimed that we were arguing with him. On top of that when we got back we were having tack problems and my bridle broke. The Ranger on duty wouldn't let me get my horse safely under control and tied up properly before he got on us.
Aug 31, 2024 · Savanna BoggsNot horse friendly at all. If you bring horses, make sure to bring a high pressure hose and be prepared to scrub the asphalt least you get ticketed. No ease of access for water either for horses. Would not recommend for horse trails at all.
Aug 31, 2024 · Harley (DizzlyPuzzled)I ended up camping down the road because I did not know this was here, and came across in the morning. This place is amazing large open free campsites, I ended up camping down the road because I did not know this was here, and came across in the morning. This place is amazing large open free campsites, hot water showers, water for water bottles, and all the power you could need plus it has a bike maintenance rack.
