A Convenient Location within the Quad Cities Area
Camelot Campground Quad Cities' location in Rock Island, Illinois, suggests a convenient base for exploring the attractions and amenities of the Quad Cities region, which includes Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline in Illinois, and Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa. The environment of the campground itself is not extensively described in the provided reviews. However, the mention of renting a spot to park a camper suggests the presence of open areas suitable for RVs, while the availability of deluxe cabins indicates designated areas for lodging. The overall setting might be a mix of open spaces for campsites and potentially wooded or landscaped areas providing some shade and visual appeal. Being situated within a more populated area, the campground might offer a different ambiance compared to more remote, nature-focused campgrounds. Its proximity to the Quad Cities likely means easy access to shopping, dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions, making it a versatile option for those who want a blend of outdoor accommodation and urban exploration.
Services and Amenities Catering to Various Camping Styles
Camelot Campground Quad Cities appears to cater to a range of camping preferences, offering both cabin rentals and traditional campsites. Based on the reviews and general expectations for a campground of this nature, potential services and amenities could include:
- Deluxe Cabin Rentals: The availability of "deluxe cabins" suggests a more comfortable lodging option compared to basic camping. These cabins are described as clean and looking nice. However, a significant issue raised by a reviewer is the lack of bedding provided, which they felt should have been clearly stated in the listing. If you are considering a cabin stay, it is crucial to confirm exactly what is included.
- RV Sites: The reviewer who stayed in a cabin mentioned that they would bring their camper and rent a spot if they returned, indicating the availability of RV sites with likely hookups for water, electricity, and sewer. The specifics of these sites (e.g., pull-through vs. back-in, amperage) are not detailed.
- Tent Sites (Likely): While not explicitly mentioned, most campgrounds offer designated areas for tent camping, often with more basic amenities.
- Restroom and Shower Facilities: These are essential for any campground and are likely available for tent and RV campers, as well as cabin guests who may not have private facilities. The cleanliness of these facilities is not directly addressed in the provided reviews.
- Laundry Facilities: One review mentioned "front load washers detergent drawers were filthy and had mold in them," indicating the presence of laundry facilities on-site, but also raising concerns about their cleanliness.
- Office and Check-in: A front desk or office is necessary for check-in and guest assistance. The "nice lady at front desk" suggests a potentially positive interaction with staff, although the issue regarding bedding information was not resolved to the guest's satisfaction.
- Patio Furniture (Potentially): One review noted that "half of the patio furniture wasn't set up," suggesting that some cabins or sites might include outdoor seating areas.

Camelot Campground Quad Cities Reviews
We stayed at one of the deluxe cabins. The cabin itself was clean, and looked nice… But there was zero bedding on any of the beds. The nice lady at front desk said that it was stated in the reservation details, but we went back through our reservation, and the listing for the cabin, and NOWHERE could we find where it stated that there would be no bedding. This detail should be in the listing for the cabin itself!Overall a 4 star stay, but if I were to come back I would definitely bring my camper and rent a spot to park it.

May 01, 2025 · jim nihlsSo I will preface this by saying that the service we received from the office - in answering questions we had as well as showing us where our site - was exceptional. Our site was adequate and we were able to get parked and setup easily enough. Some things to be aware of beforehand. This campground is in line with a runway from the local airport. This campground is also near an active train track. I understand there is nothing that Camelot can do about these, but I feel it is only fair to make mention of them.If we are traveling through that area, my wife and I agreed that Camelot would be a good place for us to rest in the future.
Aug 16, 2024 · Joshua JohnsonWe've stayed here several times and always enjoyed our stay.
Apr 24, 2025 · Linda SoatThe tent camp site had a good water view. The reason why am giving it a 1 star it’s because we couldn’t sleep the location is on the high way you can hear cars, trucks just horrible & train too. The Raccoons are brutal wanting to open the coolers each day we had to offload & reload. When l tent camp l don’t wanna hear highway traffic and the trains. Sleep we never had.I don’t know those in cabins or Rvs can hear the noise but it was bad.We paid $119 for the site and had zero sleep. Hot tub was closed.
