Based on feedback from recent visitors, Camp Reinberg prides itself on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the campground. Reviewers specifically mention the impeccably clean campsites, as well as the well-kept bathrooms and showers. This attention to hygiene is a significant factor for many campers when choosing a location, especially for families and those new to camping. One of the notable features of Camp Reinberg, especially for those who appreciate nature and outdoor activities, is its scenic hiking trails. This provides an excellent opportunity to explore the local environment, enjoy some exercise, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area. Whether you're an avid hiker or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll, having well-maintained trails accessible directly from the campground is a significant advantage. Furthermore, the campground is also welcoming to dogs, making it a great option for pet owners looking for "camping near me" where their furry companions can join in the adventure.

This type of organized activity adds an element of fun and community to the camping experience, creating memorable moments for kids. It suggests that Camp Reinberg aims to provide a family-friendly environment where children can enjoy themselves and interact with others.
While the overall feedback for Camp Reinberg is positive, some areas for potential improvement have been identified by visitors. One recurring suggestion is the addition of a playground for children. The absence of a dedicated play area might be a consideration for families with younger kids who are looking for on-site recreational facilities beyond the natural environment. If a playground is a high priority for your family's camping experience, this is something to keep in mind.
Another point of feedback concerns the trolleys provided for transporting gear from the parking area to the campsites. According to one reviewer, these trolleys were in poor condition, with broken wheels making it difficult to move equipment. Depending on the distance from the parking to your campsite and the amount of gear you bring, this could be a factor to consider. It might be wise to inquire about the condition of the trolleys or plan to carry your equipment if mobility is a concern.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the overwhelming sentiment from reviews indicates that Camp Reinberg offers a safe, well-kept, and enjoyable camping experience, particularly for families and those seeking a quick and convenient escape from the city. The combination of clean facilities, helpful staff, and scenic trails makes it a strong contender for local users searching for "camping near me."

Camp Reinberg Reviews
We had a fantastic time at this campground last weekend! The site is very well-managed, and the campsites were impeccably clean. The friendly campground staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The bathrooms and showers were maintained to a high standard, and the kids had a blast at story night. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. There are no playgrounds for kids, which would be a great addition. Additionally, the trolleys provided for transporting gear from the parking area to the campsites were in poor condition, with broken wheels that made hauling our stuff quite difficult.Despite these minor inconveniences, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended for a quick escape from the town!
Sep 04, 2024 · Sharat KSafe and well kept. Great place to camp for families or first-time campers. Staff is very helpful. Hiking trails are scenic. I had a great time with my dog.
Dec 29, 2024 · Coy HarrisThe best tax money spent in the last ten years. You can pitch a tent or rent a cabin. Get away just a short drive from Chicago.
Jan 26, 2025 · Paul JohnsonI recently attended an event at Camp Reinberg in Deer Grove. Elaine did an excellent job attending to all the needs of the group. It was a wonderful gathering and I'm glad Camp Reinberg was chosen for it. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you Elaine!
Sep 30, 2024 · Mary HiroseMom of 5 review: This place was great for our group of 6 kids and 2 adults. The cabin setup was nice for kids to romp in the grass and on the sidewalks. We stayed during the week and it was peaceful, safe and quiet. My only complaint: The water spigot by the cabins in broken and you have to walk to the shower house to get water. Cook County please fix the water spigot plumbing!!!
