Camp Robert Webb Introduce
For local users searching the 'camping near me' category, Camp Robert Webb, located at 1486 Camp Webb Dr, Grayson, KY 41143, presents a camping option with a history, as indicated by the reviews. However, the feedback is mixed, with one review reflecting a very positive experience from the late 1990s, while a more recent review from two years ago raises significant concerns about the staff, rules, and facilities. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on these user reviews to help local users considering Camp Robert Webb for their camping needs.
User-Reported Environment of Camp Robert Webb:
The reviews provide limited information about the physical environment of Camp Robert Webb. The address suggests a location in Grayson, Kentucky, which is situated in a region known for its natural beauty, potentially including forests and rolling hills. However, the user feedback focuses more on the social and operational environment of the camp rather than its natural surroundings. The lack of description regarding the landscape, campsite conditions, or proximity to natural attractions makes it difficult to assess the environment based solely on these reviews. Local users searching for 'camping near me' who prioritize specific environmental features might need to seek additional information or look for alternative campgrounds with more detailed descriptions of their natural surroundings.
User-Reported Services and Amenities at Camp Robert Webb:
The more recent review offers some insights, albeit negative, into the services and amenities at Camp Robert Webb. The mention of counselors suggests that the camp is likely structured as a supervised program, possibly geared towards children or youth. The reviewer's experience with most counselors being "rude" raises concerns about the quality of staff interaction. The serious allegation that "They RECYCLE the water. It is disgusting" is a significant issue that would need to be verified but should be a major consideration for anyone thinking of staying there. The presence of movies as an activity indicates some form of recreational offering. The fact that "boys and girls are separate" during these movies highlights a specific rule or policy of the camp. The limited positive aspect mentioned was one counselor who allowed the reviewer to play a video game, suggesting some level of individual kindness but not necessarily a standard amenity. There is no mention of typical campground amenities such as restrooms, showers, hook-ups, or camp stores in the provided reviews. Local users looking for 'camping near me' with expectations of standard campground services should be aware of the serious concerns raised about water quality and staff behavior.
User-Reported Features and Activities:
The features and activities at Camp Robert Webb, based on the recent review, seem to be structured around a supervised camp program. The mention of movies suggests some form of entertainment. However, the reviewer's negative experience, including feeling that they were "barely let you talk and never let you enjoy your time," indicates a potentially restrictive environment. The separation of boys and girls during activities like movies points to a specific set of rules that might not be typical for a general campground. The positive memory from the older review ("best time of my life") contrasts sharply with the recent negative experience, suggesting a significant change over time. The rudeness of other campers, as mentioned in the recent review, also contributes to a potentially negative social environment. Local users searching for 'camping near me' hoping for a relaxed and enjoyable experience with opportunities for socializing might find the recent feedback about Camp Robert Webb concerning.
Lack of Promotional Information in User Reviews:
Neither of the provided user reviews mentions any promotional information for Camp Robert Webb. The recent review does not discuss pricing, discounts, or special offers. The older, positive review is focused on a past experience and does not contain any information relevant to current promotions. Local users interested in staying at Camp Robert Webb would need to contact them directly at (606) 474-5055 or +1 606-474-5055 to inquire about their current rates and any potential discounts or special offers. However, given the serious concerns raised in the recent review, it would be prudent to also inquire about the camp's current operational policies, staff training, and water management practices.
Objective Summary Based on User Feedback:
The user reviews for Camp Robert Webb near Grayson, KY, present a stark contrast between a very positive past experience and a significantly negative recent experience. The recent review raises serious concerns about the rudeness of most counselors, the alleged recycling of water described as "disgusting," restrictive rules limiting interaction and enjoyment, and rudeness from other campers. While the camp appears to offer structured activities like movies, the overall environment described in the recent review seems far from a relaxing or enjoyable camping experience. The lack of information about standard campground amenities and the serious allegations about water quality should be major considerations for local users searching the 'camping near me' category. Potential campers are strongly advised to contact Camp Robert Webb directly to seek clarification on the issues raised in the recent review and to inquire about their current operational standards before making any decisions.

Camp Robert Webb Reviews
I had the best time of my life here, but that was in 1998 or so. Kids these days are such pussies.
Apr 26, 2025 · Angry BeErrInI went there 2 years ago. All the councelors were rude besides one that let me play on his Nintendo 3ds. He let me play Mario Kart 7 on it. He probably doesn't remember me but I will forever remember him. They RECYCLE the water. It is disgusting. They barely let you talk and never let you enjoy your time. Also I find it ridiculous that during movies the boys and girls are separate. I wanted to sit next to my friends but couldn't. The only reason I give this two stars and not one is because of that one counselor. The kids are also really rude.
Jun 28, 2024 · PlutoTHIS CAMP WAS DISGUSTING. They wouldn’t even let you choose your activities, you were FORCED to do chosen ones. Also, after 8 PM, they won’t let you call home. Please, NEVER GO TO THIS CAMP. Just go to 4H, it’s WAY better.
Nov 20, 2024 · Ruby ManzoI went here this summer and I enjoyed it alot. I've read some of the other reviews and they all seem negative. I honestly think it's a flip of a coin, I got great counsers, bunkmates, and all my friends came. But others have had pretty bad experiences. But I'll tell you about my pros and cons that I think are most important. I'll start with pros; pretty nice cabins (considering the fact there 4th-6th graders staying there), the little gift store thing my friend purchased 12 orange powerades and almost died 😁,nice counsers (they took song requests and got to blare twist 😼), some down time in between activities, okay lunch, talent show, and fun activities. Cons; the boys get a sidewalk and stairs while the girls get 2 huge hills that connect to ALL actives, 2 people got heatstroke (they're okay though), the juice bucket... God, the people working at the lake they wouldn't let us walk fast when the metal platform was making kids CRY from how hot it was, the swimming isn't swimming it's more like weird water aerobics, and the water (it tasted like buttole.)
Aug 31, 2024 · amoungus Chambersboys had their own sidewalk to their cabins, and girls and had to walk up a giant hill. And the girls weren’t aloud to go through the sidewalk to the boys cabin because quote on quote “look in their cabins”. Also we were going to take showers with 2 people, but luckily one of the counselors said no to that. Thanks whoever u were. They had expired milk. and gave us SOGGY FRENCH TOAST. like ew. One time they made us walk in pouring rain and the counselors got to ride in golf carts. One of the counselors told us to shut up. and then they started eating chips and watching TikTok being super loud. Don’t. Go.
