The campground is noted for offering "very secluded and peaceful spots to camp," suggesting that those seeking tranquility and privacy will find it here. The presence of a "playground" further underscores its family-friendly nature, providing a dedicated space for children to play and engage. The availability of clean and well-maintained restroom facilities and potable water is also a likely feature of a well-regarded campground.
One reviewer's surprise that "the bugs weren't bad" is a notable positive, especially for camping in Minnesota, where insects can sometimes be a concern. This suggests that Camp Waub-O-Jeeg might be situated in a location or managed in a way that minimizes insect nuisances, contributing to a more enjoyable outdoor experience. The overall impression from the reviews is that Camp Waub-O-Jeeg offers a more traditional and natural camping experience in a "cute little wooded location," distinct from more open or field-like campgrounds.

Camp Waub-O-Jeeg Reviews
It's a campground so no rooms. The people are very kind. We didn't make a reservation but we were able get a very secluded and peaceful spot to camp. We love it. Not too far from the twin cities We surely will come again and highly recommend it.
Oct 17, 2024 · K “Dkdcare” TVery nice to come here. The owner is a super helpful, great guy. He knew I was traveling alone and put me in a camping spot that wasn't way back in the woods, camping alone. He checked to make sure I got to my spot. It is really pretty, heavily wooded and beautiful ferns. It is kid and pet friendly, including a playground. It isn't your camp in a field type local. I'm shocked the bugs weren't bad, near Duluth I went home trying to camp. Cute little wooded location.
May 23, 2024 · Graphic BreweryWas recommended here by a friend and it was my first time tent camping alone so I was a little intimidated but Deb and Rick made me feel so safe, were so kind to me, and really made me feel right at home in their community. The perfect woodsy getaway for me and my doggo. I will absolutely be back!
Jun 10, 2024 · Cassidy GerberI love this camp, this was our 3rd stay here and we have enjoyed it every time. We go in big groups so we always book the group sites, and we always have more than enough space for all of us. The shower house is exceptionally clean, probably the cleanest camp ground bathrooms I have ever been in. The people at the front are always very nice, and seem like they have a good time too. the sites are also beautiful, and the bugs don’t seem to bother us much. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you guy for always making it an awesome experience! :)
Jun 18, 2023 · Daisy SmithWe absolutely Love it here. The campgrounds is absolutely beautiful with many nice trails in the woods and along the river, pet friendly, family friendly, 2 bathhouses with private shower's and toilets available. Laundry facility on the grounds, and a little store at the entrance. Location is amazing, close to St. Croix River, Glacier Park, and much more within just a few miles. The people here are what really makes it an awesome experience. The owner's Rick and Deb are so hands on and welcoming and the other camper's are the same.
