Cedar Point Campground Introduce
Are you in search of a serene "camping near me" destination in the Manchester, Tennessee area? Look no further than Cedar Point Campground, located at 1659 Cedar Point Rd. This campground offers a tranquil environment and is praised for its exceptionally supportive staff and well-maintained grounds, making it a strong contender for your next outdoor adventure. While one reviewer noted areas for improvement in the bathroom facilities, the overall sentiment highlights a commitment to guest experience and a peaceful camping atmosphere.
The environment of Cedar Point Campground is described as "quiet," suggesting a peaceful retreat away from the noise and bustle of more crowded campgrounds. This tranquility is a significant draw for those seeking a relaxing escape into nature. Imagine unwinding in a serene setting, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Manchester area. The clean and well-maintained grounds further enhance this peaceful environment, indicating a commitment to providing a pleasant and orderly camping experience for all visitors. The staff's proactive approach to maintenance, even addressing issues like washed-out gravel after a storm without using disruptive power equipment, underscores their dedication to preserving the campground's peaceful ambiance.
The services at Cedar Point Campground appear to be primarily focused on providing a supportive and helpful experience for campers. Multiple reviews commend the staff for their exceptional service. One camper described the staff as "incredibly supportive and helpful and genuinely nice," emphasizing their care in ensuring guests have a great camping experience. Their willingness to go "above and beyond" expectations, such as assisting in setting up a travel trailer, highlights a level of personalized service that can significantly enhance a camping trip. This focus on customer care suggests that campers can expect a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere at Cedar Point Campground.
In terms of features, the campground offers both RV and tent camping options, catering to a variety of camping preferences. The mention of staff assisting with setting up a travel trailer implies the presence of RV sites, although specific details regarding hookups (e.g., water, electricity, sewer) are not provided in the reviews. The clean and well-maintained grounds are a notable feature, contributing to a more enjoyable and comfortable camping experience. The staff's dedication to maintaining the grounds without disturbing campers further adds to the appeal. However, one significant feature that received critical feedback is the condition of the bathroom and shower facilities. One reviewer noted that they "need serious attention and updating," pointing out issues with the shower's temperature control (only an on/off button resulting in very hot water) and a non-adjustable showerhead that caused water to spread. While the availability of showers is appreciated, the functionality and condition appear to be areas needing improvement.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given text. However, the positive reviews regarding the staff's helpfulness and the cleanliness of the grounds can be considered as organic endorsements. The quiet environment is another implicit selling point for those seeking a peaceful camping experience. Potential promotional angles could focus on the supportive staff, the tranquil atmosphere, and the well-kept grounds. Addressing the concerns about the bathroom and shower facilities through upgrades and highlighting these improvements in future promotions could further enhance the campground's appeal.
Considering the feedback, Cedar Point Campground offers a unique blend of positive attributes and areas for improvement. The consistently praised supportive staff and the well-maintained, quiet grounds create a welcoming and peaceful camping environment. Campers can likely expect a high level of customer service and a commitment to keeping the campground tidy. However, the condition of the bathroom and shower facilities is a point of concern that potential visitors should be aware of. If clean and modern bathroom amenities are a top priority, this might be a drawback. Conversely, if a tranquil atmosphere and exceptional staff support are more important, Cedar Point Campground could be an excellent choice for your "camping near me" experience.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in Manchester, TN, Cedar Point Campground presents itself as a potentially ideal location for those valuing a quiet and supportive camping environment. The dedication of the staff to ensuring a positive experience, even going the extra mile to assist with setup, is a significant advantage. The commitment to maintaining clean grounds without disturbing campers further adds to the appeal of a considerate and well-managed campground. However, it is advisable for potential campers to be aware of the reported issues with the bathroom and shower facilities. If these are critical amenities, it might be worth inquiring directly with the campground about any recent updates or improvements. Overall, Cedar Point Campground offers a compelling option for those seeking a peaceful and service-oriented "camping near me" experience in the Manchester area.

Cedar Point Campground Reviews
Love this quiet campground. However the bathroom and showers need serious attention and updating. While I was grateful for a shower, I couldn’t adjust the water temperature so it was very hot. There’s only an on/off button. There was water everywhere because the shower head doesn’t adjust either.
Jul 02, 2024 · Jeannie BrackenThe staff are incredibly supportive and helpful and genuinely nice who cared we had a great camping experience. Their willingness to help and truly stepping in to help set our travel trailer were above and beyond any expectations. Thank you for helping us have a great experience.Grounds were clean and well maintained. Staff was out on the weekend cleaning washed out gravel with brooms and not power equipment from previous night’s storm. They do this without power equipment so they don’t disturb us campers. Again, above and beyond.
May 29, 2024 · Jim WellmanSecluded Gem with Room for ImprovementI recently stayed at Cedar Point Campground and enjoyed its peaceful atmosphere. The campground is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, offering a quiet and secluded experience. The abundance of shade was a welcome respite from the sun, and the boat launch was a bonus - much less crowded than other nearby areas. The swimming area was a highlight, with a designated roped-off section for visitors to cool off. However, the beach area could benefit from some attention - a fresh load of sand and fewer rocks would make it more comfortable for beachgoers. Unfortunately, the rocky terrain made it difficult for me to enjoy the beach, especially since I wear a larger shoe size (size 15) and couldn't find suitable swim shoes.Overall, Cedar Point Campground is a hidden gem for those seeking a tranquil retreat. With a few improvements to the beach area, it could be even more enjoyable for visitors.Rating: 4/5 starsRecommendation: Consider adding more sand and reducing the number of rocks in the beach area to make it more comfortable for visitors. Additionally, consider stocking swim shoes in larger sizes to accommodate all guests.
Jul 07, 2024 · William LaZuRiUsGrass: When we pulled up to the campsite we reserved, we noticed the long grass in all the primitive sites, but it was obvious all the other sites had been mowed. A primitive site means no water or electricity. Make sure to mow all sites to help visitors by decreasing the amount of ticks on the property.Fire pit: Some of the sites have their fire pit so close to the picnic bench that you may catch your screened tent around the bench on fire. Make sure to check that when you are determining which site to reserve.Bathrooms: The restrooms in the campground were not cleaned the entire time we stayed. Spiders were under the toilet seat lid and on the toilet paper dispensers. Plus, they were filthy!Showers: You are unable to adjust the temperature on all showers on the property. The showers in the campground area are so incredibly hot that you cannot even stand in the water to rinse. Use the showers in the beach/day use area. They are not scolding hot.Last time I camped here, the couple who ran the campground were on the grounds greeting, helping, and talking with guests. I did not see anyone like this the entire time I was there. That was a great feature I remember from my last visit. Please do a better job at keeping up your property for your guests and their children.
Jul 18, 2024 · Jennifer RewczukThe best view of any campground I have been to. Right on the lake. You can see the dam. The largest, roomiest campsites I have ever seen. I will bring my kayak next time. If they had sewer it would be perfect but it’s worth the sewer hassle to get that view and the large campsite.
