Based on the enthusiastic reviews from real customers, this campground stands out for its stunning waterfront location and its exceptionally friendly and inclusive community of campers.
The environment of Champlain Valley Campground is undoubtedly its prime feature. Situated directly on Lake Champlain, the campground boasts a "beautiful location" with picturesque waterfront views. Lake Champlain itself is a significant natural attraction, offering opportunities for various water-based activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, and simply enjoying the scenic beauty of the lake and its surrounding landscapes. The direct lake access from the campground allows guests to easily enjoy these activities and the tranquil atmosphere of the waterfront. The presence of a beach, mentioned in the context of a campfire, further enhances the appeal for those who enjoy lakeside relaxation and gatherings.
The services and features of Champlain Valley Campground, while perhaps not extensively detailed in the reviews, are highlighted by the exceptional sense of community. One reviewer notes that while the campground consists "mostly seasonal campers," everyone was "very friendly" and even extended invitations to their homes and a campfire on the beach. This strong sense of community and hospitality is a significant feature that sets this campground apart, suggesting a welcoming and inclusive environment for both short-term and long-term visitors. The second review echoes this sentiment, describing it as a "small campground but full of the most amazing, kind, friendly, dog loving people we have met so far!! A gem for sure!!" The mention of being "dog loving" also indicates that the campground is likely pet-friendly, which is a significant draw for many campers.

- Beach Access: Providing a space for relaxation, recreation, and communal gatherings like campfires.

- Restroom Facilities: Mentioned in one review, though with a specific complaint about the lack of towels or hand dryers.
- Water Access: Beyond the lake itself, access to potable water for campers' needs is expected.
- Waste Disposal: Facilities for proper disposal of trash.

Champlain Valley Campground Reviews
Beautiful location right on lake Champlain! Mostly seasonal campers, but everyone was very friendly and even invited us into their homes and to a campfire on the beach. Only complaint; no towels or hand dryers in the bathrooms! Wear pants that you can dry your hands on!

Jul 29, 2018 · Caron EsterdahlIf you haven't grown up, lived and just about died at this campsite, don't bother, there's no acceptance of outsiders. If you're allowed in, you may be the next sacrifice.
May 15, 2024 · Angelique ConnThe tent locations are cramped; however given the location on the lake and the surrounding access to the Iles', simply beautiful. Might want to bring your own firewood or the attitude to forage, expensive but clean.
