Cherokee Park Co Introduce
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Mogadore, Ohio area, Cherokee Park Co, located at 3064 OH-43, Mogadore, OH 44260, presents a camping option with recent customer feedback offering contrasting perspectives. While one review highlights positive interactions with the owners and a pleasant environment, another details a significantly negative experience related to electrical issues and overall discomfort.
One positive review describes Dave and Kristie, the owners, as "two of the most kindest people" the reviewers had met. As out-of-state visitors, they reported feeling welcomed with a "big smile." The review specifically mentions the owners going out of their way to assist them, even providing a longer hose for their black tank. The environment was described as "quiet, and clean," with the added bonus of deer being present nearby. This reviewer concluded by stating they "enjoyed every bit of our stay," suggesting a positive and comfortable experience at Cherokee Park Co.
In stark contrast, another recent review recounts a "terrible experience" that led to the family not even staying for a full 24 hours over Memorial Weekend. The central issue reported in this negative review was insufficient power to operate anything in their pop-up camper. The reviewers stated that the campground personnel "acted like it was an issue with our pop up," but upon taking their camper to another location, everything reportedly worked "perfectly fine." This strongly suggests a potential problem with the electrical infrastructure at Cherokee Park Co, at least in the site they were assigned.
Beyond the electrical issue, the reviewer who had the negative experience also mentioned that their "whole family felt uncomfortable in the environment as well." This is a subjective statement but, combined with the unresolved technical problem, contributed to their decision to leave the campground prematurely. Based on their experience, this reviewer explicitly stated they "definitely won't recommend this campground to anyone I know" and advised others to "save your money and some stress by not camping here." This strong condemnation highlights a significant level of dissatisfaction with their stay.
Considering these two recent reviews, potential local users searching for "camping near me" around Mogadore, Ohio, are presented with a mixed picture of Cherokee Park Co. On one hand, there is a positive account of friendly and helpful owners, a quiet and clean environment, and even the pleasant presence of local wildlife. This suggests that some visitors may indeed have a positive experience at the campground, particularly if they do not encounter issues with their campsite's utilities.
On the other hand, the negative review raises serious concerns about the reliability of the electrical infrastructure, especially for those using RVs or campers requiring a certain level of power. The feeling of discomfort reported by the family further suggests that there might be other factors contributing to a potentially negative overall experience for some guests. It is important to note that this discomfort is not specifically elaborated upon, but it adds to the overall negative impression conveyed in that particular review.
Given the limited number of recent reviews available, it is difficult to ascertain the consistency of the experience at Cherokee Park Co. The significant discrepancy between the two accounts suggests that the quality of stay might vary depending on the specific campsite assigned or other factors not explicitly mentioned. Potential campers should be aware of the possibility of encountering technical issues, such as inadequate power supply, and also consider the subjective report of an uncomfortable environment.
As no information regarding services, features, or promotional offers was included in the provided details, it is impossible to comment on these aspects of Cherokee Park Co. Local users considering this campground may wish to contact them directly at (330) 673-1964 or +1 330-673-1964 to inquire about their amenities, the reliability of their electrical hookups, and any current specials or discounts. Asking specific questions based on the concerns raised in the negative review, such as the campground's policy on electrical issues and how they are addressed, could be beneficial in making an informed decision.
In conclusion, Cherokee Park Co in Mogadore, Ohio, appears to be a campground with the potential for a pleasant stay, as indicated by the positive review highlighting friendly owners and a peaceful environment. However, the serious concerns raised in the negative review regarding insufficient electrical power and an uncomfortable atmosphere cannot be dismissed. Local users searching for "camping near me" should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences and consider contacting the campground directly to gather more information about their services, infrastructure, and policies before making a reservation to ensure it meets their needs and expectations.

Cherokee Park Co Reviews
Dave and Kristie are two of the most kindest people we have met. Being from out of state, they welcomed us with a big smile. Thank you for having your hidden gem. Also, thank you for helping us with a longer hose for our black tank. Quite, and clean, with deer next door. Enjoyed every bit of our stay.
Oct 09, 2024 · Birdiehad a terrible experience didn't end up even staying 24 hours for memorial weekend ,they didn't have enough power to work anything in our pop up. they acted like it was an issue with our pop up we took our pop up elsewhere and everything worked perfectly fine. save your money and some stress by not camping here my whole family felt uncomfortable in the environment as well. definitely won't recommend this campground to anyone I know.
May 29, 2024 · Kimberly VentroneGraded on a curve!Incredibly friendly owners running a sleepy little campground. The core amenities are well maintained, plenty of open spaces for kids to play, walk the dogs. The bathrooms are cleaned daily and are, in fact, clean and functional, the main reason we moved in here. The owners worked with me to find a site that could support a length of stay over 4th of July weekend, super helpful! I did not end up staying that long.Electric and water at my site worked like a charm. There's a dump site I haven't got to yet, but looks functional and tidy. Was offered grey water clean out at my site if so desired. The rest of the amenities seem older, worn down and broken, mainly playground items, horseshoes and game room. They seem to have a problem with a couple campers not taking care of the equipment, some signs posted, so makes sense. With functional that kids still played and had fun.Swimming hole was closed and didn't look like something I'd send my kids into anyway. Paddle boats were available but dirty from recent rain.Overall recommend if you want a quiet weekend at a decent rate and you are either kid-less or have a pack of kids that are happy free ranging. Just make sure they are respectful of the park!!! Lots of signs posted about supervising your kids.No problems here with my dogs.
Jun 30, 2024 · Corey MurphyCouple who run it are getting older and camp is getting in disrepare. We had a nice site and know problems. However looking around things are getting let go. Mostly a summer rental park.
Oct 19, 2024 · Carol RisonWaking up here is like waking up in a meadow surrounded by trees. Only the meadow has been carefully mowed. There’s lots and lots of grass and it’s all beautifully manicured. The owners are as nice as can be. And easy going. You feel like you’re among friends. We especially like site E4 where we stayed. If you’re not going to use your air conditioner, let them know and you may get a small break on the rate. We were just here overnight, but plan to come back to explore Akron and perhaps Cleveland as this is a nice quiet place to spend the night. We also like that it’s dark at night. There are enough lights for security, but you can still see the stars.
