Situated in the Broken Bow area, the lodge is described by some guests as being in a quiet spot surrounded by tall pine trees, providing a tranquil environment for relaxation. Its features, such as a wraparound porch and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, suggest opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and the company of friends and family. The cabin's spacious interior, particularly the well-equipped kitchen with a large island, appears to be a central gathering point for meals and activities. Its convenient location offers relatively easy access to attractions within Beavers Bend State Park, such as Friends Trail and Beavers Bend Paddle Boats, making it a base for exploring the local natural beauty.
The environment surrounding Copper Spur Lodge is characterized by the tall pine trees that offer shade and a sense of seclusion, contributing to a quiet and natural ambiance. The presence of a wraparound porch allows guests to immerse themselves in the sounds of nature, such as bird songs, and enjoy the surrounding woodland. The backyard features a fire pit encircled by ten Adirondack chairs, creating a designated space for outdoor gatherings and enjoying the evenings, although the ability to have a fire may be seasonal. Furthermore, its proximity to Beavers Bend State Park, just a 10-minute drive away, expands the environmental offerings to include hiking trails, lake activities, and the overall scenic beauty of the park. While the immediate setting of the cabin is described as quiet and surrounded by nature, it's also conveniently located near Highway 259, which hosts various restaurants, offering a balance between natural seclusion and accessibility to local dining options.
Copper Spur Lodge boasts several features and services that cater to group stays. One positive review highlights the cabin's spacious interior, easily accommodating a group of eleven people, further enhanced by high ceilings. The kitchen and its large island appear to be a focal point, well-suited for preparing meals together and serving as a gathering space for dining and playing games. The availability of parking for up to four cars is a significant convenience for groups traveling in multiple vehicles. The proximity to Beavers Bend State Park allows for easy access to park amenities and activities. However, a contrasting recent review raises concerns about the cleanliness and accommodations. This review mentions the presence of dead and alive wasps inside the cabin upon arrival, issues with pest control response, a lack of adequate cleaning supplies (no kitchen counter cleaner, limited paper towels, few dishwasher pods, no tissues for a large group), a malfunctioning ceiling fan, multiple burnt-out light bulbs, and a shower with a broken sliding glass door. These points suggest that while the cabin offers space and some desirable features, potential guests should be aware of the reported shortcomings in cleanliness and maintenance.
The location of Copper Spur Lodge offers a blend of natural retreat and convenient access to local attractions. Its proximity to Beavers Bend State Park (a 10-minute drive to Friends Trail and Beavers Bend Paddle Boats) is a significant advantage for those wanting to explore the park's hiking trails and lake activities. The nearby Highway 259 provides access to restaurants, although one review mentioned the group did not dine out, but noted a recommendation for Roma Italian restaurant and its Limoncello Mascarpone cake. This suggests that while the cabin offers a secluded feel, essential amenities and dining options are within a reasonable driving distance. The easy parking for multiple vehicles adds to the convenience for guests wanting to explore the surrounding area. However, the negative review indicates potential issues with the overall upkeep of the property, which could detract from the convenience and enjoyment of the stay.

Potential local users interested in booking the cabin should inquire directly with the management company or through the booking platform they are using about any seasonal discounts, weekday specials, or other promotions that might be available. Considering the "camping near me" platform category, Copper Spur Lodge presents a spacious option for larger groups or families looking to stay together in the Broken Bow area, with the added benefit of being close to the natural attractions of Beavers Bend State Park. The positive aspects highlighted in one review include its quiet, pine-surrounded location, the enjoyable wraparound porch and fire pit area, the spacious and well-equipped kitchen, and the easy access to nearby outdoor activities. However, the significant concerns raised in a more recent review regarding cleanliness, pest issues, and inadequate supplies and maintenance cannot be ignored. Local users considering Copper Spur Lodge should weigh these contrasting experiences and potentially seek more current information to make an informed decision about their "camping near me" getaway.

Picture yourselves relaxing on the wraparound porch, listening to the sounds of the forest, or gathering around the fire pit in the evening (when in season) for conversation. The convenience of a short drive to the hiking trails and lake activities of Beavers Bend State Park adds to the appeal for those seeking outdoor adventure. However, it is crucial to be aware of the reported issues with cleanliness and maintenance, as these could significantly impact the overall enjoyment of your stay. Potential guests should ensure that these concerns have been addressed by the management before booking.
In conclusion, Copper Spur Lodge offers a spacious cabin option in a quiet, wooded setting near Broken Bow, with convenient access to Beavers Bend State Park. While one review highlights its positive attributes such as spaciousness, a well-equipped kitchen, and outdoor gathering areas, a more recent review expresses significant disappointment with cleanliness and maintenance. Local users considering Copper Spur Lodge for their "camping near me" experience should carefully consider these contrasting perspectives and seek up-to-date information regarding the property's current condition and management to ensure a satisfactory stay. Inquiring about recent improvements or assurances regarding cleanliness and maintenance would be a prudent step before booking.

Copper Spur Lodge Reviews
My wife, I and friends stayed in Copper Spur Lodge over the weekend recently, and we enjoyed it. The cabin is located in a quiet spot surrounded by tall pines. It has a wraparound porch from where we could listen to the bird songs. There are also ten Adirondack chairs around a fire pit in the back where we could gather. We couldn't lit the fire because it was not the season, but we still loved chatting there. The cabin was clean and spacious inside (and felt even more so with the high ceiling), and it easily accommodated 11 of us. Of all the areas in the cabin, I think we used the kitchen and the kitchen island the most 😀 We spent a lot of time sitting around the big kitchen island to have meals together or to play cards. From the cabin, it is only a 10-minute drive to Friends Trail and Beavers Bend Paddle Boats (both inside Beavers Bend State Park), and we took advantage of that. But even walking in the area just around the cabin was relaxing. While we didn't go to any restaurant while we were there (because we brought food and cooked), there are restaurants along Hwy 259 nearby. Someone told us that Roma Italian restaurant is good, especially its Limoncello Mascarpone cake. Maybe we'll try it next time 😊One last note: parking was easy at the cabin. We had four cars and didn't have any problem with the parking space. We had a great time!
May 18, 2024 · Rubianto SVery disappointed in our visit over the New Year weekend. While the space in the cabin is great, the cleanliness and accommodations was atrocious. As soon as we arrived there were multiple dead wasps upstairs. We alerted the management company who are obviously not pest control, but did their best to handle the situation. They sprayed for wasps and checked for nests. While no nest was found, we were told to wait until the next day to see if the wasp situation would resolve. The next morning we were woken up by more wasps, both dead and alive. We attempted to contact the owners of the cabin to bring out an exterminator, but they clearly did not care to help solve this issue. So, for the remainder of the weekend we were constantly checking for wasps around the cabin. The cabin was also not appropriately equipped with cleaning supplies. There was absolutely zero supplies to clean kitchen counters. We had to go out to the store to get Clorox wipes just to keep the cabin fairly clean. They gave us two small paper towel rolls, three dishwasher pods, and no Kleenex for a cabin meant to house 10+ guests. Only one ceiling fan worked, multiple light bulbs were burnt out, and a shower with a broken sliding glass door.It was evident that this cabin is used for the sole purpose of making money, rather than making guests feel at home.
