Corn Patch Corner Campground / RV Park Reviews
We were driving through Iowa and needed a safe, clean, quiet place to spend the night. This was it. It is only a couple of miles off I-35 (oh, if coming from I-35, turn in AFTER the pond at the tree lined drive. Don't turn onto the gravel road before the pond). We knew ahead of time that there weren't any amenities, so we were prepared and knew what we were getting. It was clean, it was quiet except for the occasional car driving down the road (local, not highway), and we felt safe. There is a nice pond and we noticed a few people fishing. It was very pretty at sunset and sunrise. Verizon service was good and there were plenty of places to walk the dog. We stayed at site #13, electricity only. For our one night stay, it was perfect. Bill was very friendly and checked in with us on arrival day to give us instructions. We will stay here again if ever passing through this area.
Aug 29, 2024 · Michelle DerusseauA great little place in the middle of nowhere. We needed a place to sleep while traveling through Iowa and this was it. All the pull through spots were taken, but their sites are all generously long (50+ feet I think they said) so the one we got was easy to back into. A Very quiet area and we got to enjoy a pretty sunset. The owner stayed with us on the phone giving us precise directions into the campground. No bathroom available yet, but he’s working on getting some. Make sure you bring an extra long hose if you want water hooked up as it’s in a central location for 4 campsites to connect to. I would definitely stay again!
Aug 11, 2024 · Samantha BauneCorn Patch Corner campground is a jewel. Well-run, clean, small, friendly... what else? Beautifully situated, the sites are level (we have a 40' diesel pusher). Top-notch owner running a top-notch campground. We missed our exit; their construction was ongoing, so the owner stayed on the phone with me (40 mins), directing us in. I love this small, cozy campground. It is nestled back but not too far from gas, groceries, and other shopping. We felt very safe when we camped here. There are not enough words to describe how personable and friendly the owner is, he has certainly touched our hearts, and we always stay in touch with him. Thank you Bill for the hospitality, we will be back!
Jul 20, 2023 · Huckins TowingThis was a great quiet and cute place to layover on our way to the horse show! Just off I-35 and easy to park. We will be back!
Oct 28, 2024 · Robert and Katie NevinCorn Patch Corner Campground is a wonderful RV Park that just opened this year. Bill the owner is very gracious & helpful. The sites are very spacious. It’s very close to I-35 & a short distance down a well paved county road. The campground is very quiet & peaceful. We got 36 channels on our antenna & great reception with our T-Mobile internet. Bill said he will be getting wifi for the park in the next few weeks. This is a great spot to decompress from driving all day. It’s named fits so well as you can see in the pictures. Beautiful countryside all around! If you’re traveling by I highly recommend that you stay here.
