Creating Memories For Disabled Children Reviews
I cannot say enough positive things about this organization, the volunteers, the property, and the experience! Such an amazing and fun time with family! Easily accessible for children and adults with various abilities. We stayed in Karens cabin and loved it! Everything we needed and more. The kids experienced going back in time with the VHS player and Disney movies that were provided. Shower, fridge, and all the amenities you would need for a wonderful getaway from home. If you are able to make the short hike to view the waterfall I highly recommend it but if not there are plenty of areas with great views of the river and waterfall that are accessible from the main road/path. Can't wait to return and maybe help out with some of the repairs or additions being done!!! Huge thank you to Jack and all the volunteers for everything they do!
Aug 24, 2024 · Aaron DorrisThis is an awesome campground! My son is in a motorized wheelchair and traditional camping is a challenge, but we didn’t have to worry about accessibility at Creating Memories! I'm so grateful for their consideration and generosity with this camp. There was even a nature trail we were able to take him on. The cabins are beautiful and there is plenty of fun stuff to do in the area. We will definitely be back :)
Jun 08, 2023 · Meagan DotsonHad an amazing stay at Creating Memories Cabin. Karens cabin is cute, clean, and nicely tucked away in the woods. ADA access is superb. Very peaceful and charming. Much appreciation to Creating Memories esp Jack and Ron. Recommend this fantastic organization to families and friends with special needs children and those who served.
Jul 11, 2024 · Gwyenne Betiei SngebardThis is an incredible charity and we have been blessed to be able to visit this property. It is beautiful beyond words and a place of rest and rejuvenation for families with disabled children and adults. The cabins are accessible, comfortable and clean. The hiking trails and waterfall are breathtaking. Just as the name says, a great place to create memories with your family.
Jun 08, 2023 · Tyson MackWhile not being open to the public, and completely supported by volunteers and donators, this place is incredible. One of my family members recently experienced a life altering sickness, and so we were invited to come stay here. This place is one of my favorite places in the world. Tucked away in the wilderness, with a river and waterfall on the property, I can honestly give this little slice of paradise a 10/10 rating. If you ever get the chance to stay here, soak in as much as you can, because there is nothing that can compare to the serenity that the flowing river brings, or the sense of being connected to nature because of the deer and the trees and the occasional bear. Also, there is no cell service here, allowing you to completely unplug from the world, which is nice. Rarely can you actually relax, so the lack of cell service is an added bonus in my eyes. One thing to note, be careful of the poison ivy. The last thing you want to do is get sick in paradise.
