Creek-N-Wood RV Park and Campground Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" in the Bloomfield, New York area? Creek-N-Wood RV Park and Campground, located at 2530 Wheeler Station Rd, Bloomfield, NY 14469, USA, might be an option to consider. You can reach them by phone at (585) 944-4347 or mobile at +1 585-944-4347. Based on the available customer reviews, the experience at this campground appears to be varied, with some guests finding it delightful for relaxation and others encountering significant discrepancies from their expectations.
Regarding the "environment," one reviewer described it as potentially more of a tent campground than an RV campground, particularly for larger units. They were placed in a muddy, grassy spot with no gravel, unlike some smaller lots that did have gravel. This suggests that the terrain and site conditions might vary within the campground. However, another reviewer found it to be a "quiet relaxing campground" in the Finger Lakes region, highlighting a "babbling creek" as a feature to enjoy. This indicates that the environment may offer natural elements like a creek, contributing to a peaceful atmosphere for some visitors.
In terms of "services," the information suggests a mix. For RVers, water and power hookups are available, but there is no sewer at the sites where the first reviewer was located. They mentioned being told about a pumping service every three days, which was not communicated at the time of reservation. This could be a crucial service for longer stays in RVs. The presence of a bathhouse is noted, which is described as basic but unfinished, with issues like a ripped screen and broken blinds by one reviewer. Another reviewer mentioned the friendly and accommodating owners, suggesting a positive aspect of the service provided by the management.
The "features" of Creek-N-Wood RV Park and Campground seem to cater to different types of campers. For those seeking a quiet and relaxing getaway, the presence of a creek and a generally peaceful atmosphere (as mentioned by one reviewer) could be appealing. It's portrayed as a place where families with teenagers can unwind, play games, and enjoy a slower pace. However, for RVers, especially those with larger units (like a 35 ft unit mentioned in a review), the features might be less ideal in certain areas of the campground, with muddy, non-gravel sites and the lack of direct sewer hookups being significant drawbacks. The availability of a bathhouse, albeit described as basic and in need of repair by one guest, serves as a feature for those who need or prefer such facilities. The fire ring mentioned in one of the positive aspects of other campgrounds in the area is not specifically mentioned here by either reviewer.
Considering "promotional information," we have contrasting viewpoints from the reviews. One positive review promotes it as "one of the best campgrounds in the fingerlakes" for a quiet and relaxing family experience, with friendly and accommodating owners. Activities like playing games and "traversing the babbling creek" are highlighted. On the other hand, the negative review serves as a cautionary note, particularly for RVers seeking a typical RV park experience. It warns about potential discrepancies between online pictures and the actual conditions, issues with site quality (muddy, no gravel for larger units), the lack of sewer hookups, and the state of the bathhouse. The owner's handling of a cancellation due to these discrepancies was also a point of concern in that review.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Creek-N-Wood RV Park and Campground presents a mixed picture based on these reviews. If you are looking for a potentially quiet and family-friendly environment with a creek, particularly for tent camping or smaller RVs, the positive review suggests it could be a delightful option. The friendly owners are also a plus. However, if you are an RVer with a larger unit expecting a typical RV park with gravel sites and sewer hookups, the negative review strongly advises caution and suggests that this might not meet those expectations. The condition of the bathhouse and the site assigned could also be factors to consider.
Given the conflicting experiences, local users interested in Creek-N-Wood RV Park and Campground might want to directly inquire about the specific type of site they would be allocated, especially if they have an RV of a certain size, and clarify the availability of sewer hookups or the pumping schedule. It would also be prudent to ask about the current condition of the bathhouse. The online pictures mentioned in the negative review might not accurately reflect all areas of the campground, so a direct conversation with the owners about the current state of the facilities and the sites could be beneficial before making a reservation.
In conclusion, Creek-N-Wood RV Park and Campground in Bloomfield, NY, offers a potentially quiet and family-oriented experience with a creek, as highlighted by one reviewer. The friendly owners are also noted as a positive. However, another reviewer experienced significant issues, including a muddy site for a large RV, the lack of sewer hookups, and a less-than-ideal bathhouse. Therefore, local users searching for "camping near me" should weigh these contrasting perspectives and consider their specific needs (tent camping vs. RV camping, size of RV, essential amenities) before deciding if this campground is the right fit. Direct communication with the campground to get the most up-to-date and accurate information is highly recommended.

Creek-N-Wood RV Park and Campground Reviews
Gave a one because I could NOT go below a 1!! Looked at pictures on-line and what we came to was completely different. This is more like a tent campground than an rv campground. We were told that the owner put us away from the creek because they have a large crowd of regulars with dogs and such on the "other side". Not sure what that meant. When we pulled in, we called immediately and when the owner came out he told us we could leave but he would charge us $100 because he had turned away 15 people for the weekend. He had also told us it was unusual for people to book for 2 weeks as we had. It is TUESDAY, so if he had that many request for his spots then I am sure he would fill it by the weekend. However, he is threatening to keep my $100 although we said it was clearly NOT WHAT WAS SHOWN ON THE INTERNET. After I said he needed to give us a full refund because it isn't what they showed, he told me he was offended and told us to leave, we could not stay but he would keep my $100! This is maybe a local hang out more than a place for rv'ers! There was a porta potty when we first came down a slope. Our spot was literally in mud and grass, no gravel in our spot at all. Beware of you are looking for a typical rv park, this is NOT THAT! Smaller lots have gravel but they put us (35 ft unit) in the mud! Pictures show trailer covered in tarp and empty small sites. NO SEWER! Water/power only...said they pump you every 3 days (which was not told to us at time of reservation), which would be pushing it with 3 of us showering on our unit. Only way to get through that using bath houses, which is not something that should be forced, but should be optional. Bath house was not even finished, screen was ripped and blinds were broke. This was not the ideal set up for someone who is forced to use those facilities because of the sewer option not being there.
May 08, 2018 · Dan MartinOne of the best campgrounds in the fingerlakes, we have stayed here a couple of times and each time it has been a delight! In a family full of teenagers (4) that spend their year active in sports and activities, this quiet relaxing campground is what the doctor ordered. We spend our days playing games, traversing the babbling creek, and letting today's teenager get a taste of a time gone by. The friendly and accommodating owners make you feel right at home.
Jun 30, 2019 · Craig DeiseringWe found this campsite on Facebook and tried it out last year for Memorial Day Weekend, before the end of our stay we had already booked our next stay. The atmosphere is so relaxing, you can listen to the creek water rushing from any site at the camp. Everyone is so friendly, letting the kids run around and play while the adults listen to live music around a community camp fire. We went for the weekend, now we have a seasonal site, and look forward to the weekends to see people that were once strangers who are now such amazing friends. Everyone should come and camp just once, you will never want to leave.
May 09, 2018 · Sharon KeithMy wife and I were seasonal a at Creek-N-Wood last summer, and plan to be again this year. Pam and Vinny, the hosts, are just fantastic people. They were so kind to us, lending us tools, cars, food, etc. Whatever we needed whenever we needed it. The campground is lovely on the banks of a creek, each spot is secluded, yet there is great community in the pavilion which has an outdoor kitchen and living room. There is a fantastic and diverse group of seasonal campers, and I'm glad to call them my friends. There are get together a often, and great times around the fire. Do yourself a favor: skip the KOA and come enjoy a beautiful place with a great community.
Mar 12, 2016 · Matt ReinerTook a chance, based on an ad by the new owners last year and found gem in the woods, complete with a delightful stream that provides the perfect ambiance for nature lovers. This is not one of those big rig commercial campgrounds where your camper almost touches your neighbors and there is a "keeping up with the Joneses" atmosphere. Here you will find just enough peace & quiet, mixed with the giggles of happy children at play and the contented din of friendly adult conversation. Randy and Brittney should be commended for their efforts to continue to make improvements during 2018, their 2nd year. We traveled from Florida to spend another month of June at Creek N Wood this year and hope to return again next year.
