Creekside 1 Campground Reviews
Me and my husband and son came out last weekend, and it was great. We just spent the day on the water, it was like $12 for three of us. We highly enjoyed ourselves and i plan on coming back. There was quite alot of people for being in the middle of nowhere, which i thought was cool. Makes me want to buy land up there.... The owners keep it clean and people were on their best behavior. Nice place.
Jun 21, 2022 · Jazmyn CombrinkThis Mandy girl on the comment below me has no clue what she's talking about. Please don't judge this campsite on her comments alone.1. It's not government owned. Mike and Jeannie own this property and have for several years.2. They are most definitely NOT meth heads.3. She (Jeannie) is not a drunk, nor is Mike and they don't live in a shack.4. The bathrooms are very clean (for a rugged campsite far from civilization) Mike cleans them every morning. They are on a trailer and that is too move them by vehicle before the floods sweep them away. I, for one, am very thankful for those bathrooms.5. They don't treat others different because they aren't from "there". We meet people from several different states each time we are there.6. We're from Dallas and they have always treated us like family.7. They don't put up with fighting or cussing or white trash activity because they want and demand a family atmosphere. That's not to say your not allowed to have a good time but fighting, drug use and reckless drinking is not tolerated and we are very thankful for that.8. It's very inexpensive.9. Mike and Jeannie work very hard to keep it clean and available to the public even though the property is privately owned.10. They always have firewood, ice and electrity sites available.11. If you come here and act a fool, start fights, cuss and yell then expect to be kicked out.12. It is the most special place on that river.I've been coming here since the 80's and bring my family several times a year from Dallas. That's a 6 1/2 hour drive so it's definitely worth that type of investment on time and money money. So please don't judge this place on this girls comments alone. You will find one of the most pristine places on the river and the friendliest families who open their property up to the public for others to enjoy this special place.
Jul 25, 2017 · Trey RingI have been here multiply times and I live in Chicago it's awhile drive but don't listen to Mindy this is an amazing place to be with friends and family. You can enjoy yourself in or out of the water. Don't judge something on someone ELSE'S opinion all that matters is your opinion.
Jul 01, 2017 · LenaPristine, cold, clear water. Canoe and kayak rentals during high enough water. Call ahead to inquire about water levels. Choose from electric and non electric campsites. Toilet and shower facilities are located at the center of the campground (imagine a mobile privy with running water). Family friendly place. Bring your snorkeling gear. NO GLASS ALLOWED.
