The standout feature of Creekside Campground 1, as its name implies and the reviews confirm, is its location along Mikes Creek. One camper described the river site as "beautiful" and the water as "so clear we hunted crawfish jus by walkin through the shallows." This vivid description paints a picture of a natural and inviting environment where the creek is a central element of the camping experience. The cleanliness of the grounds is also noteworthy, with a reviewer specifically mentioning that the area was "litter free" and had "absolutely no broken glass on the campsites or in the creek," indicating a well-maintained natural space. This pristine environment likely contributes to a sense of tranquility and allows for direct engagement with the creek's ecosystem.

The clear waters of Mikes Creek seem ideal for wading, exploring for aquatic life like crawfish, and potentially cooling off. The natural beauty of the creek and its surroundings likely provides a peaceful and scenic backdrop for camping. The positive mention of the litter-free grounds suggests that the campground management or visitors prioritize maintaining the natural integrity of the area, which is a significant plus for those seeking an unspoiled outdoor experience close to home.
Services and Amenities:
Based on the provided reviews, information about the services and amenities at Creekside Campground 1 is somewhat limited, but we can glean a few key points:
- Bathroom Facilities: One reviewer mentioned "facilities" were available but noted that they were "lackin" and could be improved by having locks on the doors. This indicates the presence of some form of restroom, likely basic, but with room for enhancement regarding privacy and security.
Other typical campground amenities that might be available, though not explicitly mentioned, could include:
- Campsites: Designated areas for tents or potentially small RVs/trailers (though not specified). The nature of the campsites (e.g., primitive, semi-primitive) is unknown.

- Fire Pits or Grills: Common in campgrounds for cooking and campfires.

Creekside Campground 1 Reviews
We camped here during Labor Day weekend an it was spectacular. The grounds were litter free an absolutely no broken glass on the campsites or in the creek. It was great. The water was so clear we hunted crawfish jus by walkin through the shalllows. The bathroom facilities were lackin, they could be better by having locks on by the door. I was grateful to at least have "facilities".The game warden I encountered was fair, an he didn't seem to wanna be a bother as long as everyone was actin "fair"I didn't have a fishin license so I didn't get to "fish" this time. Nextime though, it's on thoughI had a wonderful time overall an plan on coming back an doin the campin experience again. Also I will tell all my friends an family about the hella fun time we had.
