A significant point of consideration for potential local users comes from a detailed negative review regarding interactions with the owner. This reviewer, who had a seasonal camper, described a negative experience involving a verbal agreement that was allegedly not honored, leading to eviction and a legal dispute. The reviewer raised concerns about a clause in the contract allowing for removal based on disputing with the owner, terming it "insubordination." They also recounted issues with the owner moving their RV without legal authority and pursuing a lawsuit. While this was one individual's experience, it serves as a cautionary note for potential campers, especially those considering a seasonal stay or entering into any agreements with the owner. The reviewer's advice to "avoid eye contact with him, seems what a lot of the campers do to avoid a situation" suggests that some campers might have perceived the owner's demeanor as potentially confrontational.
Despite the serious concerns raised in one review, another visitor described "great owners who really take care of the place," presenting a contrasting perspective. This positive review also highlighted the quiet and clean nature of the campground and the friendly neighbors. The proximity to the St. Croix Casino, located about 8 miles away, offers an additional entertainment option for campers. This divergence in experiences underscores the importance of considering all available feedback while also recognizing that individual experiences can vary.

Stuart's Leisure Acres Reviews
I had a seasonal camper here. The owner and I had a verbal agreement which he made more effort to avoid than to just be straight with me that he never intended what he promised. Because I held him accountable he evicted me under his clause in contract that says even disputing with him is grounds for removal and he accused me of being insubordination, as if he was my Superior. Seriously, if you have to put this in your contract, doesnt that say something about the owners? The owner wanted me out the same day, including my RV which was impossible. I had to leave my RV a few weeks which I really didn't think was my being rude, afterall I already paid my lot deposit for the following year and my storage fee. The owner refused to refund either. When I did go to get my RV a few weeks later, the owner moved my RV without having any legal capacity to do so and he filed eviction suit on me......no lie!! First case was seen by court commissioner Kuppa who was very bias and I lost. I requested trial with Judge and fought it. Thankfully had a fair judge and the owner was not awarded his 6000.00 suit he was asking for. Worse experience of my life. His contract is poorly written, hopefully he learned from this and revises his contract so his campers have full transparency of his true intensions rather than suing his campers later and hope it sticked when thrown against a wall. Very nice campground though, restaurant near by is awesome. Just avoid eye contact with him, seems what a lot of the campers do to avoid a situation. I just didn't listen because to start he and the wife were so super nice.
Mar 05, 2025 · Stefanie FountainNice, clean, quiet campground. Great owners who really take care of the place, and great neighbors. Plenty to do: boating/fishing/swimming on the lake or in the river; Gandy Dancer trail and several bars/restaurants nearby; St. Croix casino is about 8 miles away.
May 30, 2018 · Deb EarlyGreat views, nice cabins, clean grounds and great owners.
Jul 22, 2021 · Kevin SeymourVery nice family run campground. Has a few cabins and a huge lake. Worth checking out!
Jul 21, 2024 · Andrew LiptakBe aware! The owner/ manager of this place is absolutely crazy! My family and I came up north to enjoy a nice relaxing weekend. We rented a cabin right on the lake. As we were unloading our belongings into the cabin I allowed my cousin inside to take a look around with his dog. Apparently the owner was watching us unpack as he flew up on his golf cart and started screaming at us to get the dog out and we will be fined. If we didn't do as he said he would kick out the whole family. We have about 20 people camping and renting out a cabin. He did not say anything to me at check in about animals. If you ask me he could have handled the situation with a bit more class instead of flying off the handle right off the bat. I won't be back next year
