This natural environment offers opportunities for relaxation, exploration, and connection with the outdoors, making it an ideal destination for those searching for "camping near me" that offers more than just a campsite.
One of the standout features of Campground at the Falls is the exceptional service provided by its dedicated staff. The reviews consistently praise the team for their attentiveness and commitment to maintaining the campground's pristine condition. Jen 1, the manager, is described as having a "Midas touch," ensuring that cabins are spotless, bathrooms are well-maintained, and every detail that contributes to a pleasant stay is meticulously handled. Jen "dubs" in the office is commended for her welcoming demeanor and efficient check-in process. The owners, Rhonda and Mark, are portrayed as a dynamic duo who run the campground seamlessly, with Rhonda being the caring "momma bear" and Mark bringing his "civil engineer" skills to ensure the grounds are impeccably maintained despite the constant work required in such a natural setting. The accommodations at Campground at the Falls cater to various needs. Reviewers mentioned renting Cabin #1 and the Cedar House, both of which were described as "very nice." The Cedar House is highlighted as a great option for large groups, offering ample space for everyone to stay comfortably together. However, it's important to note that the Cedar House has limited kitchen supplies, and guests are advised to bring their own kitchen items, as well as trash bags and paper towels. This suggests that while the accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, guests should come prepared with certain essentials, especially for larger groups staying in the Cedar House. For those seeking cabin rentals as part of their "camping near me" search, Campground at the Falls offers well-regarded options.
Beyond the comfortable accommodations and stunning scenery, Campground at the Falls boasts several features that make it particularly appealing for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The waterfall and lazy river are mentioned as excellent play areas for young children, providing safe and enjoyable water-based activities. For older children and adults, the jumping rock area offers a more adventurous swimming experience. These water features provide a refreshing escape during warmer months and add to the overall appeal of the campground as a family-friendly destination within the "camping near me" category.
Fishing enthusiasts will also find Campground at the Falls to be a rewarding location. The campground is situated approximately a quarter of a mile from where people are allowed to put in to float on the river, suggesting easy access for those looking to enjoy water activities beyond the campground itself. One reviewer hinted at a "whole universe in between" the campsite and the float entry point, perhaps alluding to the rich natural environment and opportunities for exploration along the river. This proximity to the Elk River enhances the outdoor recreational possibilities for visitors.
While specific promotional offers are not detailed in the provided reviews, the overwhelmingly positive feedback and the description of the campground's unique features serve as a strong form of implicit promotion. Campground at the Falls Reviews
I can't express enough how wonderful this place is to visit. I'll do my best on this breakdown of staff and accommodations. There's Jen 1 and Jen "dubs." Jen 1 manages the place with a Midas touch. You'll never see a dirty cabin, an unattended bathroom, or a lack of attention to any other detail that will make your stay pleasant. Jen 2 is a master of the office. With a smile on her face you'll get checked in with zero resistance.Rhonda and Mark own the place. That's a dynamic duo that goals are made of. They run this place seamlessly and together. You can tell Rhonda is the "momma bear" and Mark is really a civil engineer. This place exists where the upper and lower elk meet. The amount of work it requires for this place to stay in the pristine shape it is CONSTANTLY in, is mind-blowing.Also, Decklan is a little badass. Let that kid drive a cart, all day! He's great at hospitality. My hat is constantly off to the staff and grounds management. This is my 4th time visiting and I have yet to be disappointed.Don't miss out on the fishing either. There's about 1/4 mile between your camp and where people are allowed to put in to float. There's a whole universe in between. Just saying.
Jul 07, 2024 · Joshua BradshawBeautiful campground in a beautiful setting! We rented cabin #1 and the Cedar House, both were very nice (see photos). The Cedar House is a great spot for large groups. The house is amazing, but bring kitchen items as it is very limited on what is offered. We also had to use our own trash bags and paper towels. The waterfall and lazy river are great areas for young children to play and the jumping rock area is a nice swimming area for older children and adults. The bathhouse is nice but nothing fancy.
Jun 11, 2023 · Pam PetersLoved this campground! Family friendly! No area near the falls that I felt was unsafe for my children Ages 4 and 7. They loved the lazy river. Thankful for the flushing toilets! River was clean. Front office had ice which was super convenient. Will be returning!
Jun 18, 2023 · Diana KoontzBest weekend we've had in a long time! The campground and the owners exceeded our expectations! There was a huge bon fire pit set up in the center of the grounds for us to use- we had about 20 people around it well into the night! Full hook-ups, fun relaxing river, just perfect! The only thing missing were our good friends The Miller's! Be back next season!
Sep 02, 2019 · Theresa KiohWe spent a month and a half at the Falls, and it was fantastic. The grounds were always clean and well maintained. The river just adds to the experience. Our children live in the area, and visited us often. They were always made welcome by the staff. Mark and Rhonda are wonderful people and are great hosts to the RV community. I'd give them 10 stars if it was an option.
