Deer Wood Campground Introduce
For local users seeking a "camping near me" experience in the Pipersville, Pennsylvania area, Deer Wood Campground, located at 171 Cafferty Rd, Pipersville, PA 18947, USA, presents itself as a potentially attractive option. Situated within Bucks County, this campground offers a natural environment that has been described by some visitors as beautiful and capable of providing a joyful experience. You can reach them for inquiries at (215) 297-0754 or +1 215-297-0754.
However, it's crucial for prospective campers to be aware of recent feedback regarding the campground's pricing and the condition of some campsites. According to a recent review, the management of Deer Wood Campground has transitioned to the Bucks County Park's Department, which has resulted in a significant increase in the nightly camping fee. The review states that a campsite that was previously priced at fifteen dollars per night is now fifty dollars per night. This substantial price hike has been met with criticism, particularly in light of the limited amenities reportedly available on-site. The reviewer noted the presence of only a fire grate at the campsites, suggesting a lack of additional facilities that might typically justify a higher camping fee.
This increase in cost has seemingly impacted the campground's occupancy, as the reviewer, who was taking a rest from a hike from High Rocks, observed the campground to be empty and silent. The reviewer expressed disappointment and questioned whether the elevated pricing was leading to the underutilization of the campground, suggesting a potential disconnect between the cost and the perceived value offered.
Another visitor echoed concerns about the pricing, stating that while the campground is "nice," the cost of $30 per night is considered "a little expensive," especially when considering the condition of some of the campsites. This review specifically advises against staying at sites 3, 5, or 21, describing them as "very very poor." This suggests that the quality and desirability of individual campsites within Deer Wood Campground can vary significantly. However, the same reviewer also noted that "other sites are very nice though," indicating that some areas of the campground may offer a more positive camping experience.
Based on this available information, local users considering Deer Wood Campground for their "camping near me" needs should be prepared for a nightly rate that may be higher than what was previously charged. It is also essential to inquire about the specific campsite being booked to avoid the less desirable locations mentioned in the reviews. While some sites are reportedly nice, the variability in quality suggests that doing your due diligence before booking is advisable.
In terms of the environment, the initial positive review highlights the inherent beauty of the location, suggesting that the natural surroundings have the potential to provide a pleasant and enjoyable camping experience. Bucks County is known for its scenic landscapes, and Deer Wood Campground likely benefits from this natural charm. However, the beauty of the location alone may not fully justify the increased cost and the reported lack of amenities for all potential campers.
Regarding services and features, the information available is somewhat limited and contradictory. One review explicitly mentions the absence of amenities beyond a fire grate at the campsites. This suggests that campers should be self-sufficient and prepared to bring all necessary equipment and supplies, including items that might typically be available at more developed campgrounds, such as picnic tables, water hookups, or restroom facilities with showers. The other review, while noting the expensiveness and the poor condition of some sites, does not elaborate on any specific amenities that are available. This lack of positive mention regarding amenities further supports the idea that Deer Wood Campground may offer a more rustic camping experience with minimal on-site facilities.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Therefore, local users interested in any potential discounts, special offers, or long-term stay options would need to contact the campground directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about current promotions. It would also be prudent to ask detailed questions about the amenities available at each campsite and the overall facilities of the campground before making a reservation.
In conclusion, Deer Wood Campground offers a potentially beautiful natural setting for those seeking "camping near me" in Pipersville, PA. However, prospective campers should be aware of recent significant price increases and reports of varying campsite quality, with some sites being described as "very poor." The limited mention of on-site amenities suggests a more rustic camping experience. It is highly recommended that local users contact the campground directly to inquire about current pricing, the specific amenities available at their chosen campsite, and any promotional offers before making a booking to ensure it aligns with their expectations and budget.

Deer Wood Campground Reviews
The place is beautiful and gives joy heartily along to a 5 star rating.... But then incomes the bucks county park's department..... And a campground that used to be fifteen dollars a night Is now fifty dollars a night. With literally no amenity on site but a fire grate. No wonder as I sit here taking a rest from my hike from high rocks that is empty and silent. Shame on these greedy people. Don't they see this campground going to waste?Because they're charging too much?
Aug 12, 2024 · jared stuhltragerThis is a nice campground. It's a little expensive at $30 a night, especially considering some of the sites are very very poor. (Never stay at sites 3,5, or 21) other sites are very nice though.

Jun 21, 2023 · Segundo clever Saquisilli mendozaI'm here at the campground and the bathrooms and showers are padlocked shut . The water pump outside are also padlocked. There are porta-potties but they didn't notify me about this when I made my reservations. I picked this Campground because it had showers and bathrooms available. I'm here with my daughter and two grandchildren. Now we have no place to wash up. I'll probably be cutting the camping short. What a waste of money. They least they could have done is sent me an email notifying me of this and giving me the opportunity to cancel my reservations if that was going to be the case.
