Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B Introduce
For local residents in search of an exceptional "camping near me" experience, Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B, located in Pikeville, TN 37367, offers a compelling option nestled within the renowned Fall Creek Falls State Park. This campground is specifically highlighted as family-friendly and provides access to the park's numerous natural attractions, most notably the breathtaking Fall Creek Falls waterfall. Based on customer reviews, it presents a blend of appealing amenities and natural beauty, alongside some practical considerations for potential campers.
The environment of Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B is frequently praised for its natural charm. One of the standout features mentioned by visitors is the abundance of shade provided by the mature trees within the campground. This natural canopy offers a welcome respite, especially during the warmer months, creating comfortable and cooler campsites. The campground is designed to integrate with the surrounding wooded landscape, allowing campers to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the Tennessee wilderness. While the area is undoubtedly scenic, it's worth noting, as mentioned in a review, that grassy areas within the campsites might be limited, potentially leading to muddy conditions during periods of rain.
In terms of services and amenities, Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B appears well-equipped for family camping. Reviews indicate that most campsites offer essential hookups, including both water and electricity, which is a significant convenience for RV campers and those who appreciate having power for lights and charging devices. The availability of clean and regularly maintained restroom facilities is another positive aspect highlighted by visitors, underscoring the park's commitment to hygiene and comfort. The campground also seems to be designed with families in mind, with a stated capacity of up to six persons per campsite, making it suitable for larger family groups. While not explicitly stated in the reviews, it's reasonable to expect standard campground amenities such as picnic tables and fire rings at each site.
A major feature of camping at Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B is its proximity to the iconic Fall Creek Falls waterfall. As one reviewer enthusiastically shared, the hike to the waterfall is a must-do, showcasing the stunning natural beauty of the area. The trail to the falls, however, is described as rocky and uneven in places, so hikers should be prepared with appropriate footwear and exercise caution. Beyond the main waterfall, Fall Creek Falls State Park offers an extensive network of hiking trails, providing opportunities for various levels of exploration. One reviewer mentioned a grassy area hike where they encountered ticks, serving as a reminder for all visitors to take necessary precautions against insects when venturing out on the trails.
While specific promotional information for Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B isn't provided in the reviews, it's important to note the mention of a reservation requirement, especially during holidays. This suggests that the campground is popular, particularly during peak seasons, and local residents planning a camping trip should book their sites well in advance to secure a spot. It's advisable to check the Fall Creek Falls State Park website or contact their reservation system directly for information on pricing, availability, and any potential discounts for Tennessee residents or off-season stays. Given its location within a state park, pricing is likely to be reasonable, as indicated by one of the reviewers.
Several practical considerations emerge from the customer reviews. Campers with larger RVs should be aware that accessing some campsites might involve tight maneuvers, requiring good backing-up skills. Additionally, some sites are noted to be uneven, so bringing leveling blocks for RVs is recommended to ensure a comfortable setup. The potential for muddy conditions during wet weather, due to limited grass in some areas, is another factor to keep in mind, especially for those traveling with pets. While the campground is generally described as fairly quiet, it's always wise to be prepared for typical campground sounds, especially during busier times.
For local users seeking a "camping near me" experience that combines natural beauty with family-friendly amenities and access to stunning waterfalls, Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B presents a compelling option. The shaded campsites, essential hookups, and proximity to the park's attractions make it an attractive destination for a weekend getaway or a longer family vacation. However, potential campers should be mindful of the need for reservations, especially around holidays, and be prepared for potentially uneven sites and muddy conditions during rain. Taking precautions against ticks while hiking is also essential. By considering these factors and the positive feedback regarding the campground's cleanliness and overall appeal, local residents can plan a memorable camping trip to Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B.

Fall Creek Falls Family Campground B Reviews
This campground is really nice. A lot of shade from trees and all amenities needed for a family camping is available there. Water and electricity in most campgrounds. The restroom is really clean and maimaintained regularly. Price is reasonable. 6 persons can stay in each campground. Child and family friendly. Researvation needed. Book some days before a holiday. We had a grat time there. Hopefully we will go again.
Jun 11, 2024 · Sajal IslamEach site is unique in its own way. Some are very spacious while others are kind of close. Make sure you have good backing up skills for some spots & good leveling blocks, etc. Some sites aren't very level at all. You have electricity & water hookups. When we stayed, it rained a lot (we were there in May 2022). There's not a lot of grass, so it was pretty muddy. Our dogs weren't really able to be outside with us because of that.We hiked to the famous Fall Creek Falls waterfall, which was beautiful. There's lots of rock & it can be very uneven at times getting there. We also hiked a grassy area another day & got blasted with ticks, so be careful of that.It was fairly quiet overall, but it is a tight squeeze to get in there, so be careful if you have a big rig.

The entire area is beautiful, lots of trees, shrubs, flowers and great views of the park. 🏕️“Camping rules. Stare at the fire. Listen to the birds. Jump in the lake. Read. Take a nap. Relax. Watch the sunset. Cook over the fire. Breathe the fresh air."- Unknown
Apr 14, 2023 · Debbie AndersonNice campground. Clean restrooms. Good hiking to all the waterfalls and overlooks. We parked at the nature center and started our hike there, out and back. The next day, we drove to Piney Falls. Nice overlook there that gives you the best view of this waterfall.
May 18, 2023 · Jeff CristAmazing Campground! Plenty of hiking trails, I'm glad I had my bike with me! Next time I'll have to take a kayak or a raft of some sort! Wifi was horrible. Overall an amazing experience!
