Fire Pit Campground, LLC Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" in the Millville, Pennsylvania area? Fire Pit Campground, LLC, located at 119 Eyersgrove Rd, Millville, PA 17846, offers a camping experience with a mix of perspectives from recent visitors. You can reach them at (570) 336-2554 or their mobile number +1 570-336-2554 for inquiries and bookings. Based on the available reviews, potential local users should be aware of both the positive and negative aspects highlighted by fellow campers to make an informed decision.
One reviewer described Fire Pit Campground as "a great place to unwind during the weekend with some pretty remarkable people and staff," emphasizing a positive atmosphere and friendly service. This long-term member of 11 years referred to it as "just a slice of Heaven," indicating a strong sense of community and enjoyment. This positive feedback suggests that for some, Fire Pit Campground offers a welcoming and enjoyable environment, particularly for those who become part of the established community.
This positive review also highlights several features and activities that contribute to the campground's appeal. These include live bands, DJs, karaoke, and lip-syncing events, suggesting a vibrant and entertaining social scene, especially on weekends. The presence of horseshoe and cornhole tournaments, along with group activities for kids and adults, indicates that the campground fosters a sense of community and provides opportunities for social interaction and recreation. For local users looking for a campground with organized entertainment and a lively atmosphere, Fire Pit Campground might offer these engaging features.
In terms of services, one reviewer specifically mentioned that their site had "full hook up," which typically includes water, electric, and sewer connections. This is a significant advantage for RV campers seeking the convenience of these amenities. The availability of full hookups can enhance the comfort and functionality of your camping experience, allowing for longer stays and the use of onboard facilities.
However, another, more critical review presents a contrasting perspective. This visitor, who was not acquainted with anyone at the campground, strongly advises against staying unless you know someone within the predominantly seasonal community. They described the seasonal campers as "NOT" friendly, recounting instances of being stared at throughout the weekend without any welcoming gestures. This reviewer also reported an incident of being yelled at upon departure, contributing to an overall feeling of being unwelcome and "weird," even comparing the experience to a "Stephen King novel."
This negative experience also highlighted concerns about the general upkeep of the weekend sites, noting "grass growing in the fire pits" and the fact that they were told to pick any site because no one else was staying there. This lack of occupancy in the weekend sites, coupled with the unmaintained fire pits, raises questions about the quality and desirability of these temporary camping spots. The reviewer concluded that the campground felt "ghetto" and expressed a strong disinclination to return, despite the full hookups and proximity to friends they were visiting.
The stark contrast between these two reviews underscores the importance for local users to consider their camping style and preferences. If you are looking for a close-knit community where you might already have connections or are planning an extended seasonal stay, the positive review suggests a potentially rewarding experience with engaging social activities. However, if you are a weekend visitor unfamiliar with the established seasonal community, the negative review raises concerns about the welcoming atmosphere and the condition of the short-term camping areas.
The comment about the campground seemingly being "ALL seasonals" with few weekenders suggests that the primary focus might be on long-term residents, potentially leading to a less inclusive environment for short-term visitors. This could explain the feeling of being outsiders reported by one reviewer. Local users intending for weekend stays should inquire specifically about the ratio of seasonal to short-term campers and the typical social dynamics.
Regarding the environment of Fire Pit Campground, the reviews do not provide extensive details about the natural surroundings. The mention of mountains in the negative review suggests a potentially scenic location, but this was overshadowed by the negative social interactions and site conditions experienced. Local users interested in the specific natural features, such as proximity to hiking trails, water bodies, or scenic views, should seek additional information from the campground directly or through other online resources.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts, weekend specials, or any other promotions at Fire Pit Campground, LLC, should contact them directly via phone at (570) 336-2554 or +1 570-336-2554. It would also be prudent to inquire about the availability and condition of weekend camping sites, the social environment for short-term visitors, and any guidelines or expectations for guests.
In conclusion, Fire Pit Campground, LLC, presents a mixed picture for local users seeking "camping near me." While one long-term member praises its friendly staff, remarkable people, and engaging entertainment, a weekend visitor reported a negative experience characterized by an unwelcoming atmosphere from seasonal campers and concerns about the condition of the weekend sites. The campground offers full hookups, which is a significant amenity. However, potential local users, especially those planning short weekend stays and who are not already part of the community, should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and perhaps contact the campground directly to gain a clearer understanding of the current environment and conditions before making a reservation.

Fire Pit Campground, LLC Reviews
Unless you know someone in this trailer park, my recommendation is DONT…owners are very friendly and welcoming, the seasonal’s (and it is ALL seasonals) are NOT. Did not realize that when we booked. Rude, actually stared at us all weekend, no smiles, no waves, nothing. We are very friendly people and waved and smiled and just got stared at in return. People actually drove past us just STARING. Loud, kids cursing (no wonder based on the adult behavior we saw there) Actually yelled at us as we were leaving😳 Find somewhere else. It’s ghetto. We felt like we were in some Stephen King novel🤣 just WEIRD. Served our purpose with full hook up and close to friends we were visiting for the weekend but wouldn’t EVER do it again. Thankfully we were running around all weekend and basically only there to sleep. I believe their slogan is not wanting to pull out, we couldn’t wait to pull out. We camp ALOT and love the mountains and would NEVER go here again. They should just turn the “weekender” sites into another seasonal and be done with it.Reading some reviews that this place was “the best”, they must not get around much to have higher expectations. First clue was the grass growing in the fire pits in the weekend sites and the fact that we were told to pick any one of them because no one else was staying there. Geee wonder why
Jul 29, 2024 · Christine EisenhartA great place to unwind during the weekend with some pretty remarkable people and staff. Live bands, djs, karaoke, and lip syncing for those who cannot sing. Lots of horseshoe and corn hole tournaments plus group activities for kids and adults. Been a member for 11 years. Just a slice of Heaven.
Oct 12, 2022 · Gene-O-MacI love this place . All family members enjoy it. Reasonable price . Easy goin you can have FUN here .. not like a 60 & over old folk home. Loud music , drinking, good ol'safe fun. How it is suppose to be whe camping. Showers & bathroom were always clean when I used the facilities. Small store on site for certain needs... creek to splash in on a hot humid day or night . On a good clear night awesome view of the sky, stars & all. Yet all the while still close to two towns if needs cant be filled at the on site small store. Thanks guys for the great experience each tyme there. Highly recommend for the avid family camping experience.
