Florence RV Park Introduce
Are you an RV traveler in the Florence, South Carolina area looking for "camping near me"? Florence RV Park, located at 1115 E Campground Rd, Florence, SC 29506, USA, presents a local option with a range of features and services. Based on recent customer reviews, the park offers some appealing amenities, but also has areas where experiences can vary. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of the environment, services, and features of Florence RV Park, drawing from both positive and negative feedback to offer a balanced perspective.
The environment at Florence RV Park appears to have both positive and potentially challenging aspects. One reviewer noted the presence of a beautiful pond with geese, which contributed positively to their experience and helped offset the proximity to the interstate. This suggests that the park has some scenic elements that can enhance a stay. However, another guest experienced being placed on a site that was not level and flooded during a storm, despite the staff being aware of the impending weather and the availability of empty, non-flooding sites. This indicates that site conditions can vary, and some may be susceptible to water accumulation. Additionally, the park is described as not being a good choice for those seeking quiet, with noise reported from dump trucks and a nearby factory throughout the night, in addition to potential interstate noise. Therefore, while there are natural elements like the pond, the overall environment might be influenced by its location and surrounding commercial or industrial activity.
The services at Florence RV Park seem to offer a mix of convenience and potential issues with customer service. On the positive side, one reviewer highlighted the friendly and helpful service received on the phone and during check-in. The availability of air-conditioning in the laundry room is noted as a significant comfort, and the laundry facilities are described as very clean and reasonably priced. The park also boasts a huge and refreshing pool, which is a significant amenity, particularly during the warmer months in South Carolina. Furthermore, Florence RV Park is described as very pet-friendly, featuring a nice dog park, which is a valuable service for travelers with pets. However, a contrasting experience was reported by another guest who encountered rude customer service when trying to address the issue of being placed on a flooded site. This suggests that the quality of customer service might not be consistently positive. Additionally, the park reportedly charges for children, which one reviewer found to be unusual compared to other campgrounds.
The features of Florence RV Park include a range of amenities that can appeal to RV travelers. The presence of a huge pool is a significant draw for recreation and relaxation. Clean and air-conditioned laundry facilities provide essential convenience for longer stays. The pet-friendly nature of the park, including a dog park, makes it a welcoming option for those traveling with animals. The availability of RV sites with hookups is implied, as guests were setting up and experiencing issues with their connections (leveling, flooding). The beautiful pond with geese offers a visual amenity and a touch of nature within the park. However, potential drawbacks include the possibility of unlevel and flooding sites, as reported by one guest, and the likelihood of noise from surrounding industrial or commercial activities. The fact that the park charges for children might also be a consideration for families traveling on a budget. It would be beneficial for local users to inquire about the specific features of individual sites, the park's policies on children, and any measures taken to address issues like site drainage and noise mitigation.
Promotional information for Florence RV Park can be gleaned from the positive aspects highlighted in one of the reviews. The "awesome RV campground" description, the ease of check-in, the nice lady at check-in, the clean and reasonably priced laundry with AC, the huge and refreshing pool, and the pet-friendly environment with a dog park are all strong selling points. The reviewer's sentiment of "definitely could see myself coming back" indicates a positive overall experience despite the proximity to the interstate. The beautiful pond with geese is presented as a feature that compensates for the nearby traffic. These positive aspects suggest that Florence RV Park can offer a comfortable and convenient stay for RVers, particularly those who value amenities like a pool, laundry, and pet facilities. However, it is crucial for local users to also consider the negative feedback regarding site conditions, noise levels, and customer service when making their decision.
To obtain more detailed and balanced information about Florence RV Park, local users are encouraged to contact them directly at (843) 665-7007 or +1 843-665-7007. When calling, it would be wise to inquire about:

- The park's policies regarding site assignment and potential for changes if issues arise.
- The level of noise experienced at different locations within the park throughout the day and night.
- The amenities available, such as hookups (electricity, water, sewer), Wi-Fi, restrooms, and showers (if not mentioned in the reviews).
- The specific rules and fees related to children staying at the campground.
- Any measures the park has in place to address potential flooding or noise issues.
- The specific features of the dog park and any pet-related policies.
- Reservation procedures and cancellation policies.
By asking these questions, local users can gain a clearer understanding of whether Florence RV Park meets their specific needs and preferences for "camping near me." It is important to weigh the positive feedback regarding amenities against the reported negative experiences with site conditions, noise, and customer service to make an informed decision.
In conclusion, Florence RV Park in Florence, SC, offers a local option for RV travelers with amenities like a large pool, clean laundry with AC, and a pet-friendly environment. However, potential guests should be aware of reported issues concerning unlevel and potentially flooding sites, noise from surrounding areas, and inconsistent customer service. The park's proximity to the interstate might be a trade-off for convenience, and while some find the pond and geese appealing, others are more sensitive to noise. Local users are advised to contact the park directly to inquire about current conditions and policies to ensure a satisfactory "camping near me" experience.

Florence RV Park Reviews
We stopped for the night to get ahead of some storms that where coming and car also was having a problem. The people who worked there new the storms where coming and still stuck us in a site that was not leavel and flooded. My husband had to unhook everything with 4 plus inches of water. What made this worse was there where empty sites that where not flooding. When we dove out we saw a few sites that would work. I called the office and they where rude about it. They did not want to work with me on their mistakes. Also if you want quiet this is not a good choice. We heard dump truck/ the factory all night. I 95 was not the noise. My last bit is i have never had a campground charge me for my kids. That was a bit much.
Mar 06, 2025 · Michelle OdenI don't know why this place doesn't have a 5 star rating!!! This is an awesome RV campground!!! So nice on the phone, we checked in just a few minutes before noon with no problems! Really nice lady at check in!! Air-conditioning in the laundry room and it's very clean and reasonable! The pool is huge and refreshing! Definitely could see myself coming back. No worries about be close to the interstate. You can see the traffic but the beautiful pond with geese make up for it. I don't hear a thing inside the camper!!! Just love it here. Very pet friendly with a nice doggy park!
Jun 21, 2024 · Desiree BrinsonJust off the highway, had full hookups, but only used electricity and bathrooms are nice. We just stopped to eat and sleep.
Apr 10, 2025 · Joanne BoyceWhat a nice stay. Super friendly people running the place. Patrons very friendly. The heated pool was great after a long drive. HUGE, spotless shower, bathrooms. Stayed here overnight, but wished we could have stayed longer. Hope to come back sometime.
May 15, 2024 · Sheryl MillerVery quiet camping spot even though it’s on 95. Decided to take a chance on this gem on our way from Florida to Virginia and I’m happy we did. The pool is clean, the pond out front is beautiful, the bathrooms are clean and the garbage is appropriately, a distance from sites. The staff at the front desk are super nice and have a great memory. We’re definitely using them when we make our trips south instead of going a bit inland. Saves time and money.
