Greenville Farm Family Campground, Inc. Introduce
For local residents in Northern Virginia searching for "camping near me," Greenville Farm Family Campground, Inc., located at 14004 Shelter Ln in Haymarket, VA 20169, presents a camping option with recent customer reviews offering contrasting experiences. Potential visitors should carefully consider both the positive and negative feedback to determine if this campground meets their needs and expectations.
One recent reviewer had a positive experience, describing the campground as "really nice" with a "beautiful view every morning." They particularly enjoyed the presence of wildlife, noting "lots of deer running around." This visitor stayed for almost two weeks and found the people to be "very nice." They also commented on the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere of the campground, specifically mentioning that the laundry room and the overall area were clean. This positive review suggests a tranquil environment with natural beauty and friendly service, potentially appealing to those seeking a longer, peaceful stay.
In contrast, another recent review presents a more critical perspective, describing the campground as "older, neglected." This reviewer noted that the camping spots were "fairly level" but covered with "crumbled asphalt." A significant issue they encountered was that the bathhouses were locked and inaccessible. Furthermore, they reported the absence of WiFi. This reviewer's overall impression of the place was poor, suggesting it felt like "a farm with a campground for extra income, with no upgrades." This feedback raises concerns about the maintenance and available amenities at the campground.
Considering these two differing viewpoints, local users searching for "camping near me" will need to weigh the potential benefits and drawbacks. The positive review highlights the scenic environment, the presence of wildlife, the friendly people, and the cleanliness. These aspects could be attractive to those who prioritize nature, tranquility, and a welcoming community feel. The negative review, however, points to potential issues with the age and upkeep of the campground, the inaccessibility of the bathhouses (at least during this reviewer's visit), and the lack of internet connectivity. These are significant factors that could detract from the camping experience for many visitors.
The address indicates that Greenville Farm Family Campground, Inc. is located in Haymarket, Virginia, which is situated in Prince William County. This area offers a mix of rural landscapes and suburban development, with proximity to historical sites, wineries, and outdoor recreational areas. The "farm" aspect of the campground's name suggests a potentially more rustic or agricultural setting, which could contribute to the presence of wildlife like deer, as mentioned in the positive review. However, the negative review's comment about "no upgrades" might imply that the facilities are basic and not recently renovated.
The availability and condition of services at Greenville Farm Family Campground, Inc. appear to be a point of contention based on the reviews. While one reviewer found the laundry room to be clean, the other reported the bathhouses were locked. This inconsistency suggests that the availability and maintenance of facilities might vary or that there could be specific circumstances that led to the locked bathhouses during one visitor's stay. The lack of WiFi, as mentioned in the negative review, is a significant drawback for many modern travelers who rely on internet access for communication, navigation, or entertainment.
The type of camping offered is not explicitly detailed, but the mention of spots covered with crumbled asphalt suggests that the campground likely accommodates RVs as well as tents. The level sites would be suitable for parking RVs, while the surrounding area could offer space for tent setups. However, the size and nature of the campsites are not described in detail.
There is no promotional information provided in the reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts, seasonal offers, or specific amenities should contact Greenville Farm Family Campground, Inc. directly using the provided phone numbers: (703) 754-7944 or +1 703-754-7944. Inquiring about the current status of the bathhouses, the availability of WiFi, and the types of campsites offered would be advisable before making a reservation.
Given the contrasting reviews, it is difficult to form a definitive overall assessment of Greenville Farm Family Campground, Inc. The positive feedback highlights the natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly people, while the negative feedback raises concerns about the age and maintenance of the facilities, particularly the bathhouses and the lack of WiFi. Local users searching for "camping near me" who are considering this campground should weigh these points carefully and potentially seek more recent information or clarification on the issues raised in the negative review before making a decision. It might be beneficial to inquire about the current operating status of all amenities and any recent upgrades or changes to the campground.

Really nice. Beautiful view every morning. Lots of deer running around. We were here for almost 2 weeks. Very nice people. Clean and Quiet! Laundry room was clean. Area was clean.
Nov 23, 2024 · Meleisa GreeneOlder, neglected. Spots are fairly level & covered with crumbled asphalt. Baths locked, couldn'tget in. NO WIFI. The place makes a poor impression overall. A farm with a campground for extra incom, with no upgrades.
Apr 15, 2025 · Ed OdellStayed 3 weeks. Amazing opportunities for sightseeing. Perfect surroundings. Spectacular views. Beautiful woods and farmland for walking. Cows, but no smell in the campground. It takes about an hour to drive into DC, however, 2.5 to 3 hrs to return. Take the train to DC from Manassas. Free parking (get voucher off website or from visitors center), park on second story in spaces 1 thru 69. Relax, and in 55 minutes, you're at Union Station. Park owners are great. Family has owned the property since the 1800s. And, if you're so inclined, cow #354 let me pet her several times! There are some things that warrant mentioning in case they would upset some people. Not us, but some might not like the way spaces park one in, one out putting rv'ers front door to front door. We met some great people because of that quirk. Also, sites are close together.
Oct 10, 2024 · Lisa EllermanThis is not a Hotel it’s a Campground …This campground is located off the beaten path . Convenient to everything accessible in the area Manassas Washington DC Sterling Fairfax Arlington Everywhere local . The family that own this are remarkable people . The spots are plenty big for your rv and vehicles . Just enough grass to be enough . Huge grassy area for your dogs to run and play . The pool area is exactly what it says it is . They do have picnic tables located in the shade room to get out of the sun that has couple of games there and maybe a small store there in pool area .
Jun 02, 2024 · Foxxy LoxxyAwesome stay. We were able to park our camper facing our friends camper. Made it a great time to spend time with family and friends. Ladies in the front office were super helpful and accommodating. We stayed here to enjoy a concert at the Jiffy lube live music venue. We will stay again.
