Based on recent feedback from campers, Greeter Falls Campground offers a generally positive experience, particularly highlighting the beauty of its location. Its proximity to waterfalls, which many visitors likely plan to see, makes it a convenient base for exploring the natural attractions of the area. One reviewer specifically mentioned having an "amazing experience" and expressed their intention to return, underscoring the appeal of this campground.
In terms of amenities, one of the standout features appreciated by guests is the availability of hot showers with good water pressure in clean bathrooms. This is often a significant comfort for campers, especially after a day of hiking and outdoor activities. Additionally, near the tent sites, the campground provides water spigots, trash cans, and portable toilets, indicating a level of consideration for the needs of tent campers. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the campground were also noted positively by a visitor, contributing to a pleasant environment.
Another aspect that guests enjoyed was the spaciousness of the campsites. Having ample room can enhance the camping experience, allowing for more comfort and privacy. The friendly service provided by staff, such as Debbie who works in the camp store, also adds to the welcoming atmosphere of Greeter Falls Campground.
However, one recurring concern raised in the reviews pertains to the capacity of the bathroom facilities. One guest pointed out that with only two toilets and two showers, the facilities might not be adequate, especially during times of higher occupancy. They suggested that even RV owners often utilize campground bathrooms, which could lead to congestion. This is an important point to consider, particularly if you are camping during a busy season or if readily available bathroom facilities are a high priority for you.
Despite this potential limitation with the number of bathrooms, the reviewer also acknowledged that there might not be many other campgrounds in the area, making Greeter Falls Campground a significant option for those looking to camp near the local waterfalls. The hope was expressed that the bathroom situation might be improved in the future.

Greeter Falls Campground Reviews
Being able to take a hot shower with good water pressure in a clean bathroom was amazing. There is also a water spigot, trash cans and portable toilets near the tent sites. The location is so beautiful. We had an amazing experience. We will definitely be back!
Apr 21, 2025 · Heather MiddlebrookFor the most part we enjoyed our experience at Greeter Falls Campground. It was near waterfalls we planned on seeing, our slot was very spacious, Debbie who worked in the camp shot was very friendly and the campground was very clean and well maintained. The downside was the bathroom facilities...two toilets and two showers just isn't adequate. Let's face it, even people who have big RVs tend to still use campground bathrooms and it just wasn't enough. Hopefully, that will be changed soon enough because as I understand it there really aren't many campgrounds in the area.
Apr 10, 2025 · Dione PastorMy friends and I stayed at the Greeter Falls Campground the night we drove into the area to hike through Savage Gulf State Park. We had a great experience and would absolutely return. The staff are all extremely nice and were helpful with any questions we had.The facilities are very clean and well maintained and the primitive campsites were separate enough to give you some privacy but not so secluded that it requires a hike to get to them.We all arrived later on in the day and it was very easy to unload our cars from the road then move to parking and quickly walk back to camp.I would absolutely recommend this campground especially if you aim to do some hiking in Savage Gulf.
Mar 31, 2025 · Kent WoodsThis campground is excellent, and with new areas are under construction to expand. The bathhouse is clean. The grounds are well maintained. The camp store may be small with necessities but there is hot food available at certain times made to order. The location is very close to the West Trailhead of Savage Gulf and Greeter Falls - the location is excellent. The yurts tents are well constructed - the beds and mattresses are reasonably comfortable for tent camping. Depending on the time of year you are visiting just prepare for weather conditions - have a propane heater with extra propane tanks for the cold winter nights - the tent will get warm during the day even during the cold months. A fan is mounted inside the tent but I would imagine the hot months it would be steamy. Will visit again!
Mar 12, 2025 · Melanie BeanGreeter Falls Campground is fabulous. The grounds are beautiful and the campsites nestled in the trees. It is a short walk to the Greeter Falls and Blue Hole hiking loops. The staff are friendly and attentive. The camp store is tiny but has a good selection of essentials. We enjoyed the community campfire and my kids loved the slacklines. We will be back!
