Located in Three Forks, MT 59752, USA, this campground offers a combination of essential amenities and access to the peaceful Harrison Lake. While detailed information about all services and features is not available in the provided reviews, the existing feedback highlights key aspects that local users will find valuable when considering their next camping destination.
The environment at Harrison Lake Campground is clearly centered around the picturesque Harrison Lake. One reviewer noted the peaceful atmosphere on the lake, suggesting it's an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoying the natural surroundings. The ability to find a secluded spot even during a busy weekend indicates that the campground offers some degree of space and privacy for those seeking a quieter experience. The presence of a rugged boat ramp is a significant feature for those interested in boating and accessing the lake directly from the campground. This amenity caters to anglers, kayakers, and anyone wishing to explore Harrison Lake by water, enhancing the overall appeal for outdoor enthusiasts looking for "camping near me" with lake access.
In terms of services, the reviews specifically mention the availability of "good" bathrooms, which is a fundamental aspect of any comfortable camping experience. Clean and well-maintained restroom facilities contribute significantly to the overall satisfaction of campers. Beyond this, the pricing structure mentioned in one review provides important information about the cost of camping at Harrison Lake Campground. The standard rate appears to be $18 per night for out-of-state residents. However, there is a notable discount available for those holding a Montana fishing license, who can camp for just $12 per night. This pricing structure is a significant feature, particularly for local Montana residents who enjoy fishing, as it offers a more affordable camping option. This could be considered a form of promotional pricing tied to supporting fishing activities in the state.
While the reviews offer insights into the lake environment, boat access, bathroom quality, and pricing, they do not provide comprehensive details about other potential services and features that Harrison Lake Campground might offer. To provide a more complete picture for local users searching for "camping near me," it's important to consider what additional amenities are typically found at campgrounds. These may include:
- Designated campsites (tent pads, RV sites, or a combination)
- Fire pits or barbecue grills at each site or in common areas
- Picnic tables for dining and gathering
- Potable water sources for drinking and other needs
- Waste disposal facilities (trash cans, dumpsters)
- Parking areas for vehicles and trailers
- Potential for hookups for RVs (electricity, water, sewer), although these are not mentioned in the reviews
- Information or signage about the area and any regulations
- Possibly a campground host or on-site management
Given that the reviews are brief, it is advisable for local users to contact the relevant authorities or visit the website (if available) for Harrison Lake Campground to obtain a complete list of amenities and services. Understanding the full scope of what the campground offers will help in planning a well-prepared and enjoyable camping trip.
The mention of finding a secluded spot despite a busy weekend suggests that Harrison Lake Campground might have a decent number of campsites or a layout that allows for some separation between campers. This is a positive aspect for those who value privacy and a quieter camping experience, even during peak times. The "established rugged boat ramp" indicates that while functional, the ramp might have a more natural or less developed construction, which is important for boaters to consider based on their vessel and launching needs.
In terms of promotional information beyond the fishing license discount, there is no explicit promotion mentioned in the provided text. However, the positive remarks about the peaceful lake environment and the good quality of the bathrooms can be seen as organic endorsements. For local users considering "camping near me," these firsthand accounts of a pleasant and functional camping experience are valuable. The affordability for Montana fishing license holders also acts as a specific incentive for that segment of the local population.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Harrison Lake Campground and any potential promotional offers or specific details about amenities, local users are encouraged to seek additional information through online searches or by contacting local tourism resources. It would be beneficial to know about the number of campsites, the size and type of sites available, any reservation policies, and specific regulations for campers.
In conclusion, Harrison Lake Campground near Three Forks, Montana, offers a potentially serene lakeside camping experience with the added benefit of a rugged boat ramp for lake access. The clean bathroom facilities are a plus, and the discounted camping rate for Montana fishing license holders makes it an attractive and affordable option for local anglers. While the reviews provide a glimpse into the environment and some key features, local users searching for "camping near me" should seek further details about the full range of services and amenities available to ensure it meets their specific camping needs for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway on Harrison Lake.

Harrison Lake Campground Reviews
Great for an over night stay... bathrooms good and there is an established rugged boat ramp. $12 to camp IF, you have a Montana fishing license and $18 if you are out of state
Jun 25, 2021 · Christopher S CrawfordManaged to find a secluded spot despite the busy weekend out there!! Was quite peaceful on the lake too!
Aug 20, 2019 · Jane QuinnCompletely empty, but definitely spots that would work for tents or Campers! Solo camping and didn’t feel comfortable being so alone, even though nothing pointed to “unsafe” feeling, besides bad cell service. Also pretty Smokey from fires, got a headache driving there. Vault toilets. $18 for non residents, paid by envelope.
Sep 14, 2021 · brittany barnettAmazing place to camp, hike, and kayak. Truly a hidden gem.
Jun 25, 2019 · 3-Gun JackAugust 15 2023 one van and that was it. 2am some guy in a red truck drove in revved his engine as he went by then did donuts at the boat launch. Small town boredom i guess. Lots of mosquitos and knats were horrible.
