Hocking Hills Camping & Campground Introduce
Looking for the perfect camping getaway right here in your backyard? Hocking Hills Camping & Campground, nestled at Hocking Hills Family Fun Center and Riverside Campground, located at 26633 Main St, Rockbridge, OH 43149, offers a diverse range of camping experiences and family-friendly activities. Whether you're a seasoned camper or new to the outdoors, our campground provides a convenient and engaging option for those searching for "camping near me." You can easily reach us at (740) 385-8685 or our mobile number, +1 740-385-8685, to inquire about availability and make reservations.
Our campground boasts a variety of environments to suit different preferences. The upper campground, as highlighted in some of our photos, offers basic electric sites. While one reviewer noted that these sites can be "tight," especially when the campground is less crowded, they appreciated the convenience of the electric hookups. It's worth noting that during quieter periods, the proximity of sites may not be an issue. For those seeking a different setting, the lower campground is also available. However, it's important to exercise caution in wet weather conditions in the lower area, as it features a mud path that could potentially lead to vehicles getting stuck.
We understand the importance of clean and accessible facilities. Our bathhouse, situated on the hill, features individual units, ensuring privacy and convenience for all our guests. Reviewers have consistently praised the cleanliness and functionality of these facilities. In addition to essential amenities, Hocking Hills Camping & Campground offers a range of recreational activities to enhance your stay. Our on-site pool provides a refreshing escape during warmer months, while the putt-putt golf course and go-karts offer fun for the whole family. For those looking to explore the scenic waterways of the Hocking Hills region, we also provide kayak and canoe adventures, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty surrounding our campground.
For those who prefer a bit more comfort than traditional tent camping, we also offer small cabins. These provide a cozy and convenient alternative, allowing you to enjoy the outdoor experience with the added benefit of shelter and beds. Be sure to inquire about the availability and specific features of our cabin rentals when you book your stay.
We are continuously working to improve our facilities and enhance the guest experience. This year, we are pleased to announce that all our picnic tables have been replaced with new ones, providing a more comfortable and enjoyable outdoor dining experience for our campers.
We value feedback from our guests, and while most reviews highlight the positive aspects of our campground, including our friendly and knowledgeable staff, it's important to acknowledge all experiences. One recent review expressed significant dissatisfaction with their stay during a busy holiday weekend. This guest cited overcrowding, leading to long waits for the limited number of open bathhouses, and mentioned that some advertised amenities were not available. We take this feedback seriously and are actively working to address these concerns, especially during peak seasons, to ensure a more comfortable experience for all our visitors. We are committed to providing adequate facilities and ensuring that our advertised amenities are available as promised.
Despite the varying experiences shared in reviews, Hocking Hills Camping & Campground aims to be a welcoming and enjoyable destination for those seeking "camping near me" in the Hocking Hills region. Our location provides convenient access to the stunning natural attractions that the area is famous for, including hiking trails, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing assistance and information to help you make the most of your visit to both our campground and the surrounding Hocking Hills area.
We encourage you to contact us directly at (740) 385-8685 or +1 740-385-8685 to discuss your specific needs and preferences. We can provide you with the most up-to-date information on site availability, amenities, and any current promotions. Whether you're looking for a basic campsite for a night or a longer stay in one of our cabins, we strive to offer options that cater to a variety of camping styles and budgets. We believe that Hocking Hills Camping & Campground offers a unique blend of natural beauty, convenient amenities, and family-friendly activities, making it a worthwhile consideration for your next camping adventure in the "camping near me" category.

Hocking Hills Camping & Campground Reviews
Great staff. Hands down outstanding!Made sure we were comfortable and very knowledgable about the area.We stayed in the upper campground.. the first few photos. The basic electric sites are close together. Like TIGHT. We paid $37.10 for one night. We were the only ones there. So it didn't matter. The lower campground is marked. Be careful staying down there in wet weather... it's mud path and you can get stuck.Bath house is on the hill..all individual. No sharing.. clean. Nice. There's a pool.. putt putt, go carts, and kayak and canoe adventures. Also small cabins. All new picnic tables this year.Nice place. Honestly.
May 21, 2022 · phaythphul alwaysWorst camping experience ever! My family and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend thinking it looked like a great campground. We were very mistaken. They were booked at full or very near full (150 + sites with multiple people per site) and only five bath houses open. The bath houses are shower/ toilet combo. It was impossible most of the time to even use a restroom and forget even taking a shower. We had to drive to a gas station or the rest area to just use the bathroom. Save your money and book somewhere else! Also, half the amenities weren’t even open. If you’re wanting to enjoy the Hocking Hills area there are plenty of other places to stay.
May 27, 2024 · Matthew MengelingSites are huge and very nice but they claim the Porto johns were cleaned Friday when we arrived Sunday they were nearly full. With feces on the floor we have tried for 4 days to have something done about it and the only response we get is "I only work here"
Jul 17, 2024 · Heath WeilandWe stayed at hike in site H-15 and while we managed to mostly have a good time, it was in spite of the lackluster campsite. The site was all down hill so we had no level place to setup our tent. The site was so close to other sites you could hear what everyone was saying during our time there. The site was mostly just a mud pit with not even a lot of grass. The picnic table was old and bent.Additionally this site was directly across from a pit latrine, which depending on the wind, made for a truly putrid smell as they're not well maintained.I wouldn't pay to come back and I wouldn't come back if offered for free either, its not worth fighting against the campsite...
Oct 23, 2023 · Fred FaustNot bad. Clean toilets and showers. Nice staff. Microwave mini fridge and a bed. Kids loved the loft. And putt putt, go carts and bounce pad. Trail to river beach wading area was pretty cool too.
