I experienced plenty of price gouging here. Said it was $35 to move your rv from a winter spot to a summer one but I was charged an extra $40 for a total of $75. I asked what was the $40 for and I was told it was a “getting ready to move fee”. I did all the prep to get ready to move so that was a stolen $40 that they ripped me off of. I guess Russ needed the cash. Then I was charged for an extension power cord because my rv was put into the slip away from the side of the power receptacle, so he charged me another $65 for a cord I wouldn’t have needed if he had put my rv in the slip the right way! They pile people on top of each other, constant pressure about their “events”. Russ has an “attitude”.Further, while having a 30 day or longer stay requirement which is more residential camping and less recreational their curfew is 11:00 pm. I don’t know about others but I lived there for 14 months. Im not retired I work and found that late when you NEED to get rest, and the drunk next to me who began drinking at 11:00 am, played “A Boy Named Sue” over and over and over didn’t work and kept me up. The curfew should be 9:00. This place wants to be residential with their old rules in place for recreational camping. Not sure what they are but they’re combative, nasty and condescending. Not for me. - Susan Russell

Holiday Park Campground Introduce

Are you searching for the perfect "camping near me" experience in the Greensboro, Maryland area? Look no further than Holiday Park Campground, nestled at 14620 Drapers Mill Rd, Greensboro, MD 21639. This campground offers a unique blend of peaceful surroundings and convenient amenities, catering to a variety of camping needs, from short weekend getaways to longer-term residential stays.

Holiday Park Campground is easily accessible and can be contacted at (410) 482-6797 or +1 410-482-6797 for inquiries and reservations. While online information may be limited, insights from customer reviews provide a glimpse into what you can expect from this local camping destination.

Environment and Atmosphere:

One recurring theme in customer feedback is the tranquility of Holiday Park Campground. Several reviewers describe it as "quiet and peaceful," suggesting an environment ideal for those seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This could be particularly appealing to local users looking for a relaxing escape close to home. The campground is also described as being well-maintained and "cleaned up," indicating an effort to provide a pleasant and comfortable setting for guests.

However, it's important to acknowledge a contrasting perspective. One reviewer mentioned concerns about overcrowding ("pile people on top of each other") and noise issues related to neighboring campers and a perceived late curfew for what they considered a more residential-style long-term stay. This suggests that while some find the atmosphere peaceful, others may have experienced a different reality, particularly concerning noise levels and the proximity of campsites.

Services and Amenities:

Based on one positive review, the owners of Holiday Park Campground are described as "friendly and attentive." This suggests a personalized and helpful approach to guest service, which can significantly enhance the camping experience. The mention of ongoing efforts to keep the campground "nice and cleaned up" implies a commitment to maintaining the facilities for the comfort of their guests.

Conversely, another review detailed negative experiences with pricing transparency and additional charges for services such as moving an RV and requiring the purchase of an extension cord due to site placement. These instances raise concerns about potential unexpected costs and the efficiency of site assignments. It's advisable for prospective campers to clarify all potential fees and site details before their stay.

Features and Suitability:

Holiday Park Campground appears to cater to both short-term recreational campers and those seeking longer-term stays, with one review explicitly mentioning its suitability for a "longer term- chill place to stay." This dual focus could be a significant advantage for local users with varying camping needs.

The positive review also highlights that the campground is "Kid- friendly :)," making it an attractive option for local families looking for a nearby outdoor getaway. This suggests that the campground may offer amenities or a welcoming environment for children, although specific details are not provided.

However, the contrasting review raises questions about the campground's identity, noting a "30 day or longer stay requirement which is more residential camping and less recreational" while maintaining an 11:00 pm curfew. This suggests a potential conflict between the expectations of long-term residents and the rules typically associated with recreational camping. Local users considering a longer stay may want to inquire about specific policies and expectations.

Promotional Information and Local Appeal:

For local users in the "camping near me" category, Holiday Park Campground offers the convenience of a nearby escape. Its location in Greensboro, MD, provides an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the region without extensive travel. The positive feedback regarding its peaceful environment and friendly owners could be a strong draw for those seeking a relaxing and welcoming camping experience close to home.

The mention of being "Kid- friendly" further enhances its appeal to local families looking for outdoor activities. While specific promotional offers are not available in the provided information, the campground's potential for longer-term stays could be attractive to individuals or families in the area seeking a temporary or semi-permanent living arrangement within a natural setting.

However, potential local users should be aware of the negative experiences shared in one review regarding pricing, additional fees, site assignments, and noise concerns. It would be prudent to directly contact Holiday Park Campground to inquire about their current policies, pricing structure, and site availability to ensure it aligns with their individual needs and expectations.

Conclusion:

Holiday Park Campground presents itself as a potentially appealing option for local users searching for "camping near me" in Greensboro, Maryland. The positive feedback highlights its peaceful atmosphere, friendly owners, and suitability for both short and long-term stays, including being kid-friendly. These aspects could make it a desirable choice for local families and individuals seeking a relaxing outdoor experience close to home.

However, the negative review regarding pricing discrepancies, additional fees, site issues, and noise concerns warrants careful consideration. Prospective campers are strongly encouraged to contact Holiday Park Campground directly at (410) 482-6797 or +1 410-482-6797 to obtain the most up-to-date information, clarify any potential costs, and discuss their specific needs to ensure a satisfactory camping experience.
