Silver City Mobile Home Lodge Introduce
Are you a local user searching for "RV parks near me" that might offer long-term living options in a mobile home setting within San Luis Obispo, California? Silver City Mobile Home Lodge, located at 3860 S Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, USA, presents a community living environment with certain amenities and a convenient location. However, it's important to consider the mixed feedback regarding the management of the park when evaluating if this location suits your needs. While some residents praise the current management, others express significant concerns based on their interactions and experiences.
One positive review highlights that "Michelle and her husband are fantastic at running the park." This resident praises the "perfect" noise level, indicating a potentially peaceful living environment. They also commend the "on point" maintenance, suggesting that the park is well-kept. Furthermore, this review mentions a "Great pool," a "wash area," and "a facility for your parties at no charge," which are attractive amenities for residents. The presence of a pool can be a significant recreational benefit, especially during warmer months. A wash area likely refers to laundry facilities, adding convenience for residents. The availability of a party facility at no charge suggests a community that encourages social interaction and provides spaces for gatherings.
Adding to the appeal, Silver City Mobile Home Lodge is noted to be "close to all amenities in SLO" (San Luis Obispo) and "two miles from the beach." This proximity to the city's amenities ensures easy access to shopping, dining, healthcare, and other essential services. The short distance to the beach offers residents the opportunity to enjoy the California coastline, a major attraction of the San Luis Obispo area. This convenient location is a significant advantage for those seeking "RV parks near me" that provide a base for exploring the local area while enjoying a community setting.
However, it is crucial to consider a contrasting and highly critical review regarding the management. This resident expresses that the "Management seems to be just as bad as before," referencing a former manager named Bruce who was described as "vindictive, rude, and petty." The current manager, Michelle, is specifically mentioned as having a "massive attitude problem" and being "very hostile on the phone from the get go." This negative experience arose from a question about fire lanes that the resident states mark up a significant portion of their home, preventing them from parking near their house when the driveway is full. The resident felt that Michelle's response was condescending, suggesting they "buy a new drive way."
The issue with the fire lane markings is further complicated by the fact that while the fire marshal initially approved them, a subsequent call to the fire marshal revealed that the markings "made no sense" and should have been located elsewhere. Despite this, the resident claims that Michelle chose to talk over them, condescend, and then seemingly threaten their residency status, implying potential issues with transferring ownership. While the manager later backtracked, the initial interaction left the resident feeling unwelcome and frustrated in their own living environment. The resident concludes by expressing a preference for living under an HOA rather than dealing with what they perceive as hypocritical and inconsistent rule enforcement by the current management.
The stark contrast between these two reviews presents a complex picture of Silver City Mobile Home Lodge. While some residents may experience positive interactions with the management and enjoy the amenities and location, others have had significantly negative experiences, particularly concerning communication and the handling of community rules. For local users considering Silver City Mobile Home Lodge as one of the "RV parks near me" for potential long-term mobile home living, it would be prudent to weigh these differing perspectives carefully.
The positive aspects of a great pool, wash area, party facility, and proximity to San Luis Obispo's amenities and the beach are certainly attractive. A well-maintained park with good facilities in a convenient location can offer a comfortable and enjoyable living experience. The potential for a quiet living environment, as mentioned in one review, could also be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful community.
However, the serious allegations of hostile and condescending behavior from the management, as well as concerns about inconsistent rule enforcement and unresolved issues like the fire lane markings, cannot be ignored. Such issues can significantly impact a resident's quality of life and sense of community. Potential residents might want to inquire specifically about the management's approach to resident concerns and rule enforcement before making a decision.
Given the available information, there is no specific promotional information or special offers mentioned for Silver City Mobile Home Lodge. Therefore, prospective residents would need to contact the park directly at (805) 543-9439 or +1 805-543-9439 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any specific policies or promotions they may have. It would also be advisable to ask detailed questions about the management's communication style and how they address resident concerns, perhaps even seeking to speak with current residents to gain a broader understanding of the community atmosphere and management practices.
In conclusion, Silver City Mobile Home Lodge in San Luis Obispo offers a mobile home living environment with appealing amenities like a pool, wash area, and party facility, along with a convenient location close to city amenities and the beach. However, potential residents should be aware of the conflicting reviews regarding the management, with one praising their effectiveness and another detailing significant negative experiences. It is recommended that local users searching for "RV parks near me" considering long-term mobile home living at Silver City Mobile Home Lodge conduct thorough due diligence, including direct inquiries with the management and potentially current residents, to determine if this community aligns with their expectations and needs.

Silver City Mobile Home Lodge Reviews
Management seems to be just as bad as before, Bruce was vindictive, rude, and petty. The new management not only seems to reinforce the bad decisions Bruce (the old manager) made while he was here, but the manager Michelle specifically has a massive attitude problem, very hostile on the phone from the get go, when I just had a question about the fire lanes that mark up 95% of my home vs the 10-20% of markings other people have, keeping me from parking anywhere near my house when the drive way is full. Her answer was to condescendingly tell me to buy a new drive way. Because the fire Marshall ok’d the markings, but while we called the fire Marshall out, he said the markings made no sense as they should’ve been on the other side of the street or where the fire hydrants were at, not at my house, but Michelle chose to talk over me and condescend me, then seemingly threaten me that I wasn’t a resident of the park, and since that was the case “If anything were to happen to my family, I couldn’t transfer ownership to myself” and I feel she only said that as leverage because she was making me mad on the phone and called out her attitude as hostile, and she quickly backtracked and went to that. My 70 year old grandparents don’t even want to talk to her based on her attitude right off the bat. No one should feel that way about the place they live, I think it’d be better to live for an HOA than live with these hypocrites than pick and choose what rules to enforce.

Aug 17, 2022 · David MarinezThe park is looking better since Bruce took over as manager here at the park. The clubhouse has new carpeting, new paint, and the landscape looks much better. 5 tenants who were causing major problems have been evicted and the residents here are very happy about that. Most of the old coaches have been removed and the new homes are very well maintained, and landscaped very well. The park is very quiet and everyone gets along very well.
Jul 13, 2019 · Paul MurrayFor a mobile home park, this is an excellent one. I have stayed there many months. Excellent management who handle everything very professionally. No problems with neighbors or pets or anything... The management is not snoopy or in your face, yet everything is always nice here. Nice and quiet!
Apr 14, 2021 · Robert ReynoldsThese people are crooks. My sister lived here before she died. On her deathbed they were trying to steal her place . Refused to take her rent. Then when she died, refused to take rent from us. Bought it for cheap at auction even though we were at the auction. They wanted to upgrade. They only care about money. Not one I'm sorry for your loss. Just underhanded. They make me sick. We sued them but got a fourth of what the place was worth. How could they live with themselves. Disgusting people.
