When considering a mobile home park or an RV park for a short or long-term stay, it's essential to gather comprehensive information about the environment, services, and features offered. While direct information from the park's management would provide the most complete picture, publicly available information, such as customer reviews, can offer valuable insights into the experiences of current and former residents.
Based on the customer reviews available online, it's important to approach Oceanaire Village Mobile Home Park with careful consideration. Several concerns have been raised by reviewers that potential residents should be aware of. One reviewer describes the park as "compact" and highlights significant noise issues stemming from the adjacent street. This could be a crucial factor for individuals seeking a quiet and peaceful living environment.
Furthermore, the same reviewer expresses dissatisfaction with the park's management, alleging that the owner's primary focus is on personal financial gain. This sentiment is concerning as it suggests a potential lack of attention to resident well-being and community development. The review also points out a lack of amenities, stating that there is "no community center" and "nothing extra." The absence of a dedicated community space can impact social interaction and the overall sense of community within the park. Additionally, the reviewer mentions that children lack a safe designated play area and are forced to play on the street, raising safety concerns for families with young children.
Practical aspects such as waste management are also mentioned, with the reviewer noting the presence of only "1 dumpster" for the entire park. This could potentially lead to inconvenience and waste management issues for residents. Another significant point of contention is the water billing system, which is described as having "very high" costs with "different amounts for each home," suggesting a lack of transparency or potentially inequitable billing practices.
The reviewer also expresses a fear of "possible retaliation for this post," which is a serious accusation that warrants attention. It suggests a potentially negative environment for residents who voice concerns or provide feedback.
Perhaps the most serious concern raised in the reviews pertains to the park's location in proximity to a designated Superfund contamination site. According to one reviewer, this site involves water and soil contamination from an old oil field. The reviewer strongly advises anyone experiencing health issues such as cancer, miscarriages, birth defects, or animal deaths to seek legal counsel immediately, specifically recommending attorneys outside of San Luis Obispo County. They suggest that local attorneys might "downplay your case."
To substantiate these claims, the reviewer directs readers to the website of the Environmental Working Group (EWG) and suggests checking water quality data for the specific zip code to find details about potential contaminants in the water. This is a critical piece of information that prospective residents should independently verify through official channels and environmental databases. Understanding the environmental context of a location is paramount for ensuring the health and safety of residents.
Considering these publicly available reviews, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" or mobile home parks in San Luis Obispo should conduct thorough due diligence before making any decisions regarding Oceanaire Village Mobile Home Park. It is strongly recommended to visit the location, if possible, to assess the conditions firsthand. Prospective residents should also consider asking specific questions to the management regarding noise levels, safety provisions for children, waste management procedures, water billing practices, and any potential environmental concerns related to the nearby Superfund site. Seeking information from multiple sources and potentially speaking with current residents (if feasible) can provide a more balanced perspective.
While the basic contact information and address of Oceanaire Village Mobile Home Park are readily available, the customer reviews paint a picture that necessitates careful evaluation. The concerns raised about noise, management practices, lack of amenities, safety, and potential environmental contamination are significant and should not be overlooked. For those prioritizing a quiet, well-maintained community with ample amenities and a safe environment, further investigation into these issues is crucial.
When searching for "RV parks near me," remember that online reviews, while informative, represent individual experiences and opinions. It is always best to combine this information with your own observations and direct communication with the park management to form a comprehensive understanding. If environmental concerns are a significant factor, consulting publicly available environmental reports and databases, such as the EWG website mentioned in the review, is a vital step in your decision-making process.
In conclusion, Oceanaire Village Mobile Home Park offers a location in San Luis Obispo, CA, with contact information readily available for inquiries. However, publicly shared customer reviews highlight several potential drawbacks concerning noise, management, amenities, safety, and proximity to a Superfund site. Prospective residents should carefully weigh these concerns and conduct thorough independent research before considering this park for their accommodation needs.

Oceanaire Village Mobile Home Park Reviews
Compact, noise is awful from the street. Owner only cares about making money for themselves. Kids have no where save to play, they have to play on the street. Only 1 dumpster. No community center. Nothing extra, water bill is very high and different amounts for each home. Possible retaliation for this post. Will see

Mar 17, 2022 · Kim ChaffeeOwner and manager are good and rent is affordable but parking is a problem and noise getting to be an issue with new residents that don't seem to care about neighbors. Screening process is not thorough enough. We need a better process to attract more respectful tenants
