JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS Introduce
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS, situated at 7400 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70126, presents itself as an option. They can be contacted at (504) 241-0632 or +1 504-241-0632 for inquiries and reservations. To provide a comprehensive and objective introduction for those considering "RV campgrounds New Orleans," it is essential to consider the feedback available from previous guests.
Based on recent customer reviews, JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS offers a mixed experience. On the positive side, the owners and hosts are consistently described as "very sweet and helpful" and "very kind-hearted, honest, and respectful." One long-term resident, who stayed for nearly a year, expressed deep gratitude for the owners' attentiveness and care, recounting an incident where the hosts looked out for their property while they were out of state. The friendly environment and being "always greeted with a smile" are also highlighted as positive aspects of the park's atmosphere.
Furthermore, the park offers practical conveniences for travelers. Guests appreciate the ability to receive deliveries from any shipment carrier, with the owners keeping them safe in the office. This service can be particularly beneficial for those staying for longer periods or expecting mail and packages. The presence of "nice laundry facilities" is also noted as a positive amenity, providing a convenient way for guests to manage their laundry needs. Additionally, the availability of a "nice pool and hot tub" offers opportunities for relaxation and recreation within the park.
Another significant advantage mentioned by a reviewer is the park's proximity to the famous French Quarter, being only "10-15 minutes" away. This location could be a major draw for tourists and those wanting easy access to the cultural heart of New Orleans with its renowned music, dining, and historical sites. This accessibility makes JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS a potentially convenient base for exploring the city.
However, alongside these positive remarks, there are significant concerns raised in the reviews that potential guests must carefully consider. The most prominent issue is the location, described by one reviewer as "SCARY." This individual reported experiencing "Semi automatic gunfire ALL night many nights" as well as "drag racing" on the nearby road. Despite acknowledging that the owners "can't control this," the reviewer stated that this would prevent them from returning due to the unnerving level of noise and potential safety concerns. This aspect of the environment outside the park is a serious consideration for anyone prioritizing peace and security during their stay.
Inside the park itself, there are also some drawbacks noted. The RV sites are described as "SOOOOO small," with one guest mentioning that their canopy could not be fully opened if someone was parked next to them. This limited space could impact the comfort and usability of individual sites, especially for larger RVs or those who value outdoor living space. Additionally, the sewer hookups are reported to be located "IN the middle of the very small area you do get," which could pose logistical challenges for some RV setups.
Another environmental concern within the park is the presence of "burrs EVERYWHERE." One pet owner described having to remove "20-30" burrs from their dog each time it was outside. This could be a significant inconvenience and potential health concern for those traveling with pets. The park's location next to train tracks is also mentioned as a negative, with trains being "very loud" and causing the trailer to shake even with stabilizers. This noise and vibration could be disruptive, particularly for light sleepers.
Finally, a reviewer pointed out that "The bathrooms here really need to be attended to more often, out of paper towel or supplies for days more than once." This suggests potential issues with the maintenance and upkeep of the communal bathroom facilities, which can impact the overall comfort and hygiene for guests who rely on them.
Considering these reviews, JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS offers a unique situation. The management is highly praised for their kindness, helpfulness, and security measures within the park (such as keeping the gates shut). The amenities like laundry facilities, the pool, and hot tub are appreciated, and the proximity to the French Quarter is a significant advantage for those wanting to explore downtown New Orleans. However, the serious concerns about the safety and noise levels in the surrounding location, the small site sizes, the presence of burrs, train noise, and the maintenance of the bathrooms are factors that potential guests must weigh carefully.
As no specific promotional information was provided in the reviews, it is advisable for interested individuals to contact JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS directly at (504) 241-0632 or +1 504-241-0632 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any special offers for short-term or long-term stays. When calling, it would be prudent to ask about site sizes, the park's efforts to mitigate noise and security concerns, pet-related issues like burrs, and the frequency of bathroom maintenance.
In conclusion, JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS offers a welcoming management team and convenient access to the French Quarter, along with some appreciated amenities. However, potential guests should be aware of the significant concerns raised about the safety and noise of the surrounding location, the small size of the RV sites, the presence of burrs, train noise, and potential issues with bathroom maintenance. It is recommended that interested individuals contact the park directly for more information and consider these factors carefully when making their decision about "RV parks near me" in New Orleans.

JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS Reviews
Thank you, Jude Travel Park Owners, for allowing us to reside on your property for almost a year. Accidentally, when out of State, left the side door wide open for 3 days; Thank God and its hostess for always looking out for their tenants. Very friendly environment, always greeted with a smile. The owner allowes to receive deliveries from any shipment carrier, keeping them safe on her office. Very kind-hearted, honest, and respectful people who in addition keep the gates shut to care no one trespasses, allowing its tenants to feel secured. Thank You Once Again Jude Travel Park of New Orleans & Blessings!

May 02, 2025 · Elizabeth EmrickMarla, the owner, she is the most hospital person I have ever met. She's very caring. It was cold out this morning, and I had to go take a shower and I was expecting the bathroom to be cold, but to my delightfulness, it was very warm. I was very impressed. The park is extremely clean. I very highly recommend staying here at her park.
Mar 17, 2025 · Nola BarkerI spent two months at Jude Travel Park in New Orleans and found it to be a solid and dependable choice for an extended stay. The park was well-kept, and the amenities—like the pool, hot tub, and laundry facilities—were consistently maintained, which made my stay much easier. The location worked well for me, providing a quiet, peaceful environment while still being close enough to easily explore New Orleans. I didn't have to deal with city noise, but I was never far from everything the city has to offer. The staff were polite and professional, and I had no issues during my stay. They kept things running smoothly, and I felt well taken care of. For anyone looking for a reliable place to stay in the area, I’d say this is a good choice.
