Known for its family-friendly atmosphere and abundance of things to do, this campground aims to be your go-to destination for a fun and convenient local getaway.
The environment at Jellystone Park™ Waller is geared towards providing a vibrant and active camping experience. While one recent review highlighted an issue with stickers on the tent camping sites during a particularly busy Easter weekend, it's important to consider that this might be an isolated occurrence or a challenge the park is actively working to address. Typically, campgrounds strive to maintain their grounds for the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. The overall impression from multiple visits by one reviewer suggests that the location is "usually perfect" for tent camping, indicating that the sticker issue might not be a consistent problem. It's advisable to inquire about the current condition of tent sites when making your reservation, especially if tent camping is your preferred option for "camping near me."
Jellystone Park™ campgrounds are renowned for their extensive services and features, catering especially to families with children. Based on the positive aspects highlighted in the reviews, you can likely expect a range of amenities and activities designed to keep everyone entertained. These may include:
- Variety of Camping Options: While the review mentions tent camping and coupon codes for cabins, Jellystone Park™ Waller likely offers a range of accommodation types to suit different needs and preferences. This could include RV sites with full hookups, offering convenience for those traveling with recreational vehicles and searching for "RV parks near me." Cabin rentals are also typically available, providing a more comfortable and amenity-filled option for families.
- Engaging Activities: The positive reviews specifically mention "great activities" and a "blast" for children. This suggests a structured program of events and recreational opportunities. Examples mentioned include tie-dye t-shirt making and laser tag. You can likely expect other activities such as swimming pools, playgrounds, arts and crafts, games, and themed events, all contributing to a fun-filled "camping near me" experience for the whole family.
- Helpful and Friendly Staff: Multiple reviewers praised the staff members they encountered. Sam is repeatedly mentioned for being "sweet" and "very helpful" with activity-related questions. Marisol is noted for being "friendly and helpful" with activity sign-ups, and Andi and Isaac also received positive mentions for their helpfulness. Estevan is acknowledged for assisting with a late-night laser tag session. This consistent positive feedback about the staff suggests a welcoming and supportive atmosphere at the campground.
- Essential Campground Amenities: While one review raised concerns about the cleanliness and stocking of restrooms during a peak weekend, it's important to note that the reviewer had positive experiences during over ten previous visits. This suggests that the issues encountered might have been temporary due to the high volume of guests during the Easter weekend. Typically, campgrounds provide essential amenities such as restrooms, showers, and potentially laundry facilities for the convenience of their guests. It would be prudent to inquire about the campground's cleaning schedule and restroom facilities when booking, especially if this is a significant factor in your "camping near me" decision.
One reviewer expressed a desire for discounted tent site rates when conditions, such as the sticker issue, are less than ideal. While this specific request might not reflect the general pricing policy, it highlights the importance of communicating any concerns you might have with the campground management. It's always possible that they might offer solutions or adjustments based on specific situations.
The positive experiences shared in the second review paint a picture of a fun and engaging family getaway. The son of the reviewers "had a blast," and they appreciated the helpfulness of the staff with activities. The specific mention of assistance with tie-dye and late-night laser tag underscores the variety of activities available and the staff's willingness to go the extra mile for their guests. This aligns with the typical offerings of a Jellystone Park™, which focuses on creating a memorable and entertaining "camping near me" experience for families.
While no specific promotional information like coupon codes or discounts for general camping is mentioned in the reviews, Jellystone Park™ campgrounds often have various specials and packages available throughout the year. These might include discounts for longer stays, seasonal promotions, or themed weekend deals. To find out about any current promotions for Jellystone Park™ Waller, especially for the type of camping you are interested in (tent, RV, or cabin), it is highly recommended to check their official website or contact them directly at (979) 826-4111 or +1 979-826-4111.

With a range of camping accommodations likely available, a variety of engaging activities for all ages, and generally friendly and helpful staff, it has the potential to be a fantastic destination for your next local getaway. While one review pointed out a temporary issue with tent sites and restroom maintenance during a peak weekend, the overall sentiment from other experiences suggests a well-maintained and enjoyable campground. Jellystone Park™ Waller Reviews
Ive been to this location multiple times. We tent camp and it is usually perfect for us. However, I rated the “room” one star because this trip (over Easter weekend), the tent camping sites were COVERED in stickers. The stickers were so bad that we couldn’t even walk or kneel inside our tent without them poking through. I couldn’t play ball with my daughter like we normally do either because any given step without being cautious could result in a sticker or two in our feet (we had crocs to wear but stickers kept ending up in our feet… I can’t even put a number on how many times I had to pull stickers from mine and my daughters feet this weekend). The “room” also got only one star rating because the bathrooms conditions. Now, I have camped at this same campground more than 10 times. I understand that during rush hour shower time, the bathrooms will become dirty. That is totally understandable. I’m not sure if they were understaffed or what, but the restrooms were awful both Friday and Saturday. One set had clogged toilets both days. I know that finally, they had someone come and fix it and I do understand that this is not something they could control. However, Saturday, knowing the toilets were clogged, we used the other restroom most of the day and there was no toilet paper when we went at 6 am and still none the many other times we used the restroom throughout the day (in all stalls, not just one). I feel like in the past, the staff was there super early cleaning before the crowd woke up, but this time, the bathrooms were still filthy and out of toilet paper until much later into the day.The staff we encountered personally were great, as always. Sam is the sweetest (and she was in October when we met her as well). Marisol was so friendly and helpful . Andi was great and so was Isaac.Overall, this was not my favorite trip, mostly because of the stickers. I think that as long as there are stickers, there should be a discount on tent sites. They offer coupon codes for cabins but never tent sites. As a single mom to a child with special needs, I’ll never be able to afford a cabin, even with coupon codes available, so I make do and sleep in a tent. However, I think the tent sites need to have lower prices as long as they can’t get the stickers under control.
Apr 21, 2025 · Mandy CormierOur family stayed this past weekend at the Jellystone Park in Waller. It was a great time for us and our son had a blast. The activities were great as well. Sam was very helpful with all my questions regarding the activities and informative. Issac helped us while we did our tie dye t-shirt and gave us a very helpful tip to wash a few times before putting it with other cloths. :) Marisol was always helpful when we came to sign up for an activity. We also got to do the laser tag at night which our son loves. Estevan was so gracious to help out with our late-night laser tag run. Thank you all for a great time!
Mar 27, 2025 · Caitlin DoucetJust wanted to say we went up to spend Easter at Jellystone Park "Waller," we had an amazing time. Staff was friendly water park was great! The bounce pillow was so much fun for my little guy he loved it. The park even had an Easter egg hunt for the kids along with the Easter bunny, which was great! I want to give a BIG shout out to a worker there that helped make our trip amazing she went above and beyond to help us with times for the Easter egg hunt and finding our way around the part she called herself V but with some asking around I found out her name is Vilincia Jones 😊 I just want to let the park know they have an amazing employee who definitely made our stay a pleasant one. The only thing I would suggest was to upgrade the golf course, but guess what? I heard that's in the works, so it's a great place to take the family and have an amazing time together. A well hidden gem for sure.
Apr 24, 2025 · Leslie DeherreraI had an absolutely fantastic experience at Yogi Bear’s Camp Resort! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home. A huge shoutout to Jessica and Mike at check-in—they were top-tier friendly, greeting me with genuine warmth and making the process smooth and enjoyable. Their enthusiasm and kindness set the tone for the entire stay. The resort itself is a blast, with tons of fun activities and a welcoming vibe that’s perfect for families or anyone looking to unwind. Everything was clean, well-organized, and just plain awesome. Five stars all the way—can’t wait to come back!
Apr 11, 2025 · ak HonestJust arrived home after our long weekend at Jellystone and can say we were all disappointed. The cabin was dirty, filled with cob webs and bugs. The shower never got warmer than mildly warm. The cold/hot is backwards on all sink faucets. Definitely not worth the cost. It was like there were zero workers there so not many activities. The mini-golf course looks like a scene from the apocalypse… poorly maintained and basically unplayable. The bounce pillow and movie night were the highlights. Laser tag was mediocre and half of the guns and point system were not working. And my sons scooter was stolen… so much for camp etiquette. This place needs an overhaul. We all made the best of it being together. It was dog friendly.
