The customer reviews provided offer a mixed perspective, primarily focused on the food and beverage aspects. One reviewer commented on the water looking "gross from the bar," which might be a concern for those considering a waterfront location for recreation or camping. The negative experiences with the food, resulting in illness for some customers, are also noteworthy. These reviews do not provide information about the camping facilities themselves, so potential campers would need to seek specific details about the campground. The statement "If you want a solid burger on the lake this is not the place to go" further emphasizes the negative feedback regarding the food.

Water looks gross from the bar, over priced beer, under priced shots
Feb 24, 2025 · Rob VWe came for the burger and left sick. The burgers are expensive. If you want a solid burger on the lake this is not the place to go.We ate and were sick the entire rest of the day.Never coming back.
Jun 26, 2024 · MackJim is a really nice guy and they have friendly staff. The camp has excellent access to false river for fishing or simply enjoying the southern sunset. The road around is the camp ground is poorly maintained with large potholes that hold water . That adds to the rustic feels I guess. However the bar is there if you need a drink and easy access to town.
Dec 03, 2019 · C FrancoisJim's place is a hidden gem!! We had an amazing labor day weekend. If you love the water and Fishing and swimming like my guys. This was one of those trips we hated to leave. Guaranteed we will be back!
Sep 07, 2020 · brandi smithVery affordable. The camp ground has 9(?) camping spaces right on the bank of the False River lake. Only $125.00 a week or, $400 a month. If you do not have a camper with a bathroom it will be a bit rough. The existing bathroom is unkept and has no hot water. There is a pretty nice restaraunt w/ about a 30 foot long bar. Basket of fried shrimp & catfish w/ french fries is $8.50. Domestic bottles of beer are $3.00, imports are $3.50. Pretty good. Mostly an older crowd of locals. A pool table and 3 digital gambling machines.
