Lauderdale Co Commission RV Campground Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" in northern Alabama? Consider the Lauderdale Co Commission RV Campground, situated in Rogersville, AL 35652, USA. You can reach them at (256) 760-5878 or their mobile number +1 256-760-5878 for inquiries and reservations. Based on feedback from recent visitors, this campground offers a clean and welcoming environment, particularly appealing to those seeking a quiet riverside experience.
One of the standout features highlighted by reviewers is the cleanliness of the campsite. One camper described it as a "very nice clean camp site," which is always a significant plus when choosing a place to stay outdoors. The hosts, Robert and Charlotte, also receive high praise for their friendliness. According to a review, they "want you to be comfortable and enjoy yourself," creating a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere for guests. This personal touch can greatly enhance the overall camping experience, making you feel more at home during your stay.
The location of Lauderdale Co Commission RV Campground is another major draw. It is situated "right on the river with a deck to tie your boat to," making it an ideal spot for boating and fishing enthusiasts. Waking up to the serene views of the river and having direct access for your watercraft is a significant advantage for those who enjoy spending time on the water. This riverside setting also likely contributes to the overall peaceful ambiance of the campground.
For senior travelers, Lauderdale Co Commission RV Campground offers a notable benefit: a rate of "$10.00 per night." This makes it an exceptionally affordable option for seniors looking to enjoy the outdoors in this part of Alabama. Furthermore, the campground is not exclusively for RVs and campers; "You can have a tent" as well, broadening its appeal to different types of campers who prefer a more traditional tent camping experience.
In terms of accessibility, the campground is conveniently located "just a few miles from Al. hey 72," making it relatively easy to find and access from a major highway. This can be particularly important for those traveling from out of town or who appreciate ease of access to transportation routes.
However, one review noted that while the campground is "nice quiet clean," it might be "more for fisherman and older couples" and that there is "nothing here for children." The reviewer suggested that they "should at least put a small playground in for kids too have something to do." This indicates that while the campground excels in providing a peaceful and clean environment suitable for adults, families with young children might find the lack of dedicated children's recreational facilities a drawback. Therefore, if you are traveling with kids and looking for playgrounds or similar amenities, this might not be the best fit based on this feedback.
Based on the available reviews, the environment of Lauderdale Co Commission RV Campground is characterized by its riverside location, offering opportunities for boating and fishing, and a generally quiet and clean atmosphere. The services include friendly hosts, and it accommodates both RVs and tents. Key features include direct river access with a boat tie-up deck and a significant discount for seniors.
To summarize the features and services:

- Friendly hosts, Robert and Charlotte.
- Riverside location with a deck for tying up boats.
- Accommodation for both RVs and tents.
