Turtle Cove mobile home park Introduce
When searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in Hubert, North Carolina, it is important to clarify the nature of "Turtle Cove Mobile Home Park." While mobile home parks may sometimes appear in general searches for RV accommodations due to their shared infrastructure for manufactured housing, Turtle Cove Mobile Home Park primarily functions as a residential community for long-term or permanent residents living in manufactured homes, rather than a transient RV park catering to short-term recreational campers. Located at 3700 Freedom Way (Hwy 24, 125 Turtle Cove Dr, Hubert, NC 28539, USA, and reachable by phone at (252) 241-0123 or +1 252-241-0123, Turtle Cove offers a living environment for individuals and families seeking a mobile home residency in the area.
The environment within Turtle Cove Mobile Home Park presents a mixed impression, according to various public accounts. Some residents describe it as a "Beautiful place, quiet and homey," with "Very nice people that live there," indicating a pleasant and welcoming community atmosphere. This suggests that for many, it provides a stable and comfortable living environment. However, other reviews highlight concerns regarding the upkeep and appearance of some mobile homes and their surrounding yards. One reviewer noted disappointment, observing that many homes "looked like they were older than 3 years, an very sloppy yards an uncared for mobile homes," contrasting with an alleged policy of not allowing homes older than three years to move in. This suggests that while a quiet and friendly atmosphere may prevail, the visual consistency and adherence to certain standards of exterior maintenance might vary across the park. It is noted that some of these observations might have been influenced by the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, which caused significant damage to the region. The park is situated within Onslow County, a region known for its proximity to military installations and coastal living, which shapes the broader local environment.
As a mobile home park, Turtle Cove provides essential services and features for its residents. Each lot is typically equipped for a manufactured home, with necessary utility connections. Information suggests that the property is serviced by public water, which is directly billed to the tenant. The park is serviced by a septic system, and trash is handled by dumpsters, with the cost typically covered by the park owner. Electricity is directly billed to the individual tenant. In some cases, cable services may be included in the tenant's lot rent, depending on the specific lease agreement. These basic utilities are foundational to providing a functional residential space. The presence of a welcoming community, as described by residents, points to an informal service of camaraderie and mutual support among neighbors. The park also likely adheres to local Onslow County regulations for manufactured homes, which cover aspects like installation, utility connections (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, gas), footings, pier spacing, and anchorage. These regulations ensure that the homes are properly set up and safe for residency.
The distinguishing features of Turtle Cove Mobile Home Park are its focus on long-term residency and its community-oriented nature, as opposed to the transient full-service offerings of a typical RV park. While some general search results might list amenities like pools or kitchens for properties in "Turtle Cove," these are likely referring to vacation rentals or individual mobile home units within the broader "Turtle Cove" area or even different "Turtle Cove" properties, and not necessarily communal amenities offered by the mobile home park itself. The core feature is providing a plot of land with utility hookups for a mobile home, allowing residents to establish a more permanent home base. The "quiet and homey" atmosphere is a significant feature for many residents, offering a sense of stability and belonging. Its location in Hubert, NC, places it within reasonable proximity to essential services and amenities, such as grocery stores (Food Lion, Walmart), dining options (Little Caesars Pizza, Sandridge Diner), and other local businesses, enhancing the practicality of living there. For military personnel, its location offers accessibility to nearby military installations, which is a common draw for mobile home parks in this region. The park's management oversees the operation and likely sets rules regarding lot maintenance, age of homes, and general conduct to maintain the community's standards, although some reviews suggest these standards may not always be consistently enforced.
Promotional information for Turtle Cove Mobile Home Park primarily targets individuals seeking affordable, long-term housing solutions in the Hubert area, rather than short-term recreational stays. Its appearance under "RV Parks Near Me" might be a miscategorization by some search engines or platforms, as its primary purpose is not for transient RV camping. Instead, its "promotion" comes from its utility as a place to establish a mobile home, particularly for those looking for a quiet community near coastal North Carolina amenities and military bases. The positive testimonials about the friendly residents and peaceful atmosphere serve as the most effective form of promotion, highlighting the living experience. Prospective residents would typically inquire about available lots for rent, the possibility of moving in a pre-owned mobile home (and any associated age restrictions, though discrepancies have been noted in reviews), or purchasing a mobile home already situated in the park. For detailed information on available lots, specific policies regarding home age, lot rent, and community rules, it is essential to contact Turtle Cove Mobile Home Park directly at the provided phone number. Given the mixed reviews regarding property upkeep, a personal visit to assess the current conditions of the park would be highly advisable for anyone seriously considering making it their long-term residence. This direct engagement allows potential residents to determine if the community's environment and features align with their personal living preferences and expectations for a mobile home park in Onslow County.
