Little Lake Campground Introduce
Looking for 'camping near me' in the Jefferson, NY area? Little Lake Campground, located at 146 Porter Rd, Jefferson, NY 12093, USA, presents itself as a local option with some appealing features, according to online reviews. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the campground based on the available feedback, covering its environment, services, and features.
The environment of Little Lake Campground appears to be a significant draw for many visitors. One recent reviewer who hosted a wedding celebration there noted that "so many people commented on how beautiful the surrounding area is." They also described the campground as "quiet and peaceful," particularly appreciated after a large event. This suggests a setting that offers natural beauty and a tranquil atmosphere, potentially located near or featuring a "Little Lake" which could contribute to the scenic views and peaceful ambiance. The mention of spending "many nights under the stars" hints at a location where the night sky is visible, perhaps away from significant urban light pollution. However, another review mentions potential noise issues related to other campers, which might detract from the overall peacefulness at times. It's worth noting that individual experiences regarding noise levels can vary.
In terms of services, the positive review highlights the exceptional support provided by Tammy and Dan, the hosts. They were described as "kind, welcoming and generous," going "above and beyond" to ensure a successful event. Their responsiveness during planning and accommodation for a unique event were also praised. This suggests a high level of customer service and a willingness to assist guests, especially those hosting events. The campground offers pavilions, which can be utilized for gatherings and celebrations. For general camping services, one review mentions camping with guests, implying the availability of campsites. However, specific details about amenities like restrooms, showers, water access, or electrical hookups are not consistently detailed in the provided reviews. One negative review alludes to potential issues with rule enforcement regarding noise and pet behavior, which could impact the overall camping experience for some visitors. It's advisable to inquire directly with the campground about the specific services and facilities available to ensure they meet your needs.
The features of Little Lake Campground seem to include its scenic beauty, the presence of a lake (implied by the name), and facilities for hosting events such as weddings in their pavilions. The positive feedback regarding the surrounding area suggests opportunities for enjoying nature. The quiet and peaceful aspects, when experienced, would be a significant feature for those seeking a relaxing getaway. The ability to host large gatherings is another notable feature. However, the contrasting review points out potential inconsistencies in the enforcement of campground rules, particularly concerning noise and pets, which could be a factor for those prioritizing a quiet and orderly camping environment. It seems that while the natural setting and event hosting capabilities are strengths, the experience might vary depending on the behavior of other campers and the level of rule enforcement at the time of visit.
Currently, there is no explicit promotional information provided in the reviews. To learn about any special offers, seasonal rates, or event hosting packages, it would be best to contact Little Lake Campground directly at (607) 652-6520 or +1 607-652-6520. Given that they have pavilions suitable for events, they might offer specific pricing or packages for such occasions. For regular camping, it would be prudent to inquire about their rates per night or per week.
In summary, Little Lake Campground in Jefferson, NY, appears to be a locally situated campground with a beautiful environment and the capacity to host events. Positive feedback highlights the helpfulness of the hosts and the scenic surroundings, as well as the potential for a quiet and peaceful stay. However, one review indicates potential inconsistencies in rule enforcement, particularly regarding noise. If you are looking for 'camping near me' and value a potentially picturesque setting and the possibility of hosting events, Little Lake Campground is worth considering. It is recommended to contact them directly for detailed information about their services, amenities, and any current promotions, as well as to understand their policies regarding quiet hours and pet behavior to ensure it aligns with your expectations for a camping experience.

Little Lake Campground Reviews
I recently held a weekend-long celebration of my wedding at Little Lake Campground and I know that I struck gold by hosting the festivities in their pavilions and working with Tammy and Dan. They could not have been more kind, welcoming and generous with their time and talents. They truly went above and beyond to make sure that the weekend was successful, despite the best efforts of mother nature. If I needed anything or might need anything, they were always right there. I also appreciated Tammy's kind and encouraging words which helped me calm down and enjoy the process and the event. Tammy was super responsive during planning, as well as incredibly accommodating, which allowed us to hold a truly unique event for our guests. We camped with many of our guests, then stayed on our own for a few days afterwards. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the campground, and so many people commented on how beautiful the surrounding area is. The campground is quiet and peaceful, which we greatly appreciated in the days afterwards as we rested and recovered from the experience. I look forward to spending many nights under the stars at Little Lake Campground.
Jul 10, 2024 · Sara ChapmanCamping has rules and we always respect others when we go. We are quiet after hours, we do not play corn hole until 1:00 a.m., we do not let our dogs bark all day long like seasonal.,,And we were warned about it..Years ago we had a good time when we went but this time the whole attitude was different. We just felt like seasonal people and your usual people can do as they please. We brought to you over $1000.00 and we did not feel welcome at all. WE WILL NOT BE BACK EVER AGAIN.not sure if you are just having a bad year or what and taking it out on us ,but I feel we were just as important as everyone else. Our money is green too.. Our Friends with the disabled child did not want to say a word and make trouble but were kept awake with your usual group with her crying all night so they packed up and went home with no sleep. Sorry if OUR GROUP caused you troubled ..Its not the point of getting along as you stated in my brothers post, its following the rules you stated.. quiet hours after 10 p.m. ,no dogs barking after a period of time . We were friendly with everyone. So I will not except that ..Actually I will not except any of your replies... We all are good quiet people and respect others and help others too..My friends said it was pretty .. I know they said they told you what you said only because they do not want to make trouble..they are like that.. I was not one of the people to move or to leave late, nor not to come, so you cannot judge me. The guy packing up ,his dog barked the whole time ..while I was trying to lay down , not that you care but my illness was acting up and I needed to rest.. it was unreal. ,,,I bet if it was mine you would have been upset... You were in a mood this year for some reason and you just do not want to admit it.. All I can say I is I hope you have a good winter and God bless you and have a good evening..
Oct 19, 2021 · MertOur favorite place. We always enjoy our stays there. Clean, well kept, and very relaxing. I was shocked to read a review that it was noisy. We have never experienced that in the years we've been going there. Look forward to every trip we have booked.
May 23, 2022 · Richard MartinBeautiful very clean and well maintained campground in a wonderful setting. Tammy was very nice and made us feel very comfortable. I have been to many campgrounds and Little Lake Camping is now on our favorite list. Will return.
May 31, 2015 · David TerminiIt is so peaceful, a little pond/lake to go fishing in. I highly recommend going there. This is probably the the best campground or camping spot I have ever been too. It is a very very nice camping place to take the family.
