Little Oak Campground Introduce
For local residents seeking a picturesque camping experience centered around a beautiful lake, Little Oak Campground, located at 2800 N Ocoee St, Cleveland, TN 37312, USA, offers an attractive option within the 'camping near me' category. Based on feedback from fellow campers, this campground boasts a stunning lakeside setting, convenient access for water activities, and a generally positive atmosphere, though potential inconsistencies in site availability are worth noting.
One repeat visitor describes Little Oak Campground as a "Beautiful campground on a beautiful lake," immediately establishing the primary allure of this location. Their return visit signifies a positive prior experience, and their intention to go back again further underscores the campground's appeal. For local users who appreciate camping in a scenic waterside environment, Little Oak Campground appears to be a strong contender.
This same reviewer highlights the convenience of having a campsite "right on the lake," making it exceptionally easy to "drop our kayaks in and go." This feature is a significant advantage for local residents who enjoy kayaking or other water sports, offering direct access to the lake from their campsite. The ease of launching and retrieving watercraft can greatly enhance the overall camping experience for water enthusiasts.
Regarding facilities, the reviewer notes that the "Showers are good enough," suggesting that while perhaps not luxurious, the shower facilities meet basic needs adequately. Importantly, they mention that "our loop had flush toilets, although not all do." This indicates that while some areas of the campground offer the added convenience of flush toilets, others may have alternative restroom facilities. Local users who prefer flush toilets should inquire about site availability in loops that offer this amenity.
The reviewer also raises a point of concern regarding campsite reservations. They noted a discrepancy between the website indicating "first come first served" for some sites and the reality upon arrival, where "many of them had reserved signs on them." This inconsistency led to fewer available sites than expected online. Local users planning a visit should be aware of this potential issue and may want to contact the campground directly to clarify the reservation policy for specific sites to avoid disappointment.
Another visitor who initially went for a day visit reported having a "nice time," noting "great views" and a "peaceful" atmosphere with "respectful/ friendly people." This positive initial impression led them to return for camping, which they found "spectacular." This speaks to the overall quality of the campground and the positive interactions with fellow campers. The mention of "semi-private spots" suggests that the campsites offer a degree of seclusion, enhancing the sense of being immersed in nature.
This second reviewer also highlights the presence of "great walking trails," catering to local users who enjoy hiking and exploring the surroundings on foot. The availability of trails adds another dimension to the camping experience, allowing visitors to further appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Additionally, they mention "perfect swimming holes for all ages," indicating that the lake offers safe and enjoyable swimming opportunities for families with children as well as adults.
Based on these reviews, Little Oak Campground offers a beautiful lakeside environment in Cleveland, TN, making it a prime choice for local users seeking a "camping near me" experience centered around water activities and scenic beauty. The campground provides convenient lake access for kayaking and features swimming holes suitable for all ages. While shower facilities are described as adequate, the availability of flush toilets appears to be limited to certain loops.
The environment surrounding Little Oak Campground is clearly a major draw, with both reviewers emphasizing the beauty of the lake and the overall peaceful atmosphere. The presence of walking trails further enhances the natural appeal, offering opportunities for exploration and exercise. The semi-private campsites contribute to a sense of tranquility and immersion in nature.
Specific details regarding other services and features, such as the availability of RV hookups (water, electricity, sewer), the total number of campsites, the presence of picnic tables or fire pits, or laundry facilities, are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users planning to camp with RVs or requiring specific amenities should inquire about these when contacting the campground.
Similarly, there is no promotional information included in the reviews. Local users are encouraged to contact Little Oak Campground directly via phone at (423) 476-9700 or their mobile number +1 423-476-9700 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential discounts for local residents or seasonal offers. It would also be prudent to ask for clarification regarding the campsite reservation policy to avoid any discrepancies upon arrival.
In conclusion, Little Oak Campground in Cleveland, TN, offers a beautiful lakeside setting with convenient access for kayaking and swimming, making it a highly attractive option for local users searching within the 'camping near me' category. The campground boasts great views, a peaceful atmosphere, semi-private campsites, and enjoyable walking trails. While the shower facilities are adequate and some loops offer flush toilets, potential inconsistencies in online site availability versus actual reservations should be considered. Contacting the campground directly for detailed information on amenities, reservations, and any current promotions is recommended to ensure a smooth and enjoyable local camping experience.

Little Oak Campground Reviews
Beautiful campground on a beautiful lake. This was our second visit and we will go back again. I don't understand how some sites are marked as first come first served on the website, but yet when I got there many of them had reserved signs on them. That is my only complaint as there were not as many sites available as it appeared online. We had a site right on the lake so it was very convenient to drop our kayaks in and go. Showers are good enough and our loop had flush toilets, although not all do.

Aug 02, 2023 · Emily ShawLittle Oak is possibly the best campground I've stayed at, nice showers and bathrooms, almost always full of TP (which isn't always the case at a lot of locations) the drive is a bit to get to stores and gas stations, but the Campsite is fantastic. Most campsites via reservation, but there are a few first come first serve.
Jul 06, 2017 · ReneeIt was amazing! 2 lakes, several bathrooms and a shower house with hot showers! All the bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily! Best mini vacation I've had in a while!!!
