You can contact them at (603) 482-3294 or their mobile number, +1 603-482-3294, for inquiries.
To provide an objective introduction for local users seeking "camping near me," it's crucial to analyze the available reviews from recent visitors. These firsthand accounts offer direct perspectives on the environment, services, and overall experience at Log Haven Campgrounds.
Several recent reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the management and customer service at Log Haven Campgrounds. One reviewer describes the owner, Carol, as "a terrible person," alleging rudeness and a lack of competence in operating the campground. This individual suggests that the consistently low occupancy of the campground, in contrast to other thriving campgrounds in the area during peak season, may be attributed to these issues.
Another detailed review recounts a negative experience during a weekend stay for ATV riding. The reviewer describes returning to their campsite after a day of riding and lighting a campfire that was allegedly slightly higher than permitted. According to this account, the owner, Carol, drove a tractor to their site and reacted with extreme anger, yelling and swearing at them to extinguish the fire immediately. The reviewer states that despite their willingness to lower the fire, the owner insisted they leave the campground. This interaction escalated to the point where the owner allegedly gave them the ultimatum of staying inside their trailer for the night or leaving immediately. After convincing her to let them stay and leave in the morning, the owner reportedly added a dismissive remark about leaving early.
This reviewer expresses being "blown away" by the unprofessional and "disgusting behavior" of the owner, suggesting that the situation could have been handled more reasonably with a simple request to lower the fire. The reviewer concludes by stating that the campground deserves new ownership and that under the current management, it is likely to decline further.
Adding to these concerns, another review describes an extremely negative experience at what appears to be a dining or service area associated with the campground. This reviewer uses strong language ("RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!") to convey their dissatisfaction. They recount entering a room full of waiting snowmobilers on a holiday weekend, noting the presence of uncleared dirty tables and a lack of visible staff. Upon inquiring about the wait time, the reviewer alleges a rude and unhelpful response from a staff member they refer to as the "RUDE lady."
The experience continued with an order for food (Elk burger and turkey club). Upon receiving their order, the reviewers were skeptical about its accuracy. One burger tasted more like beef than elk (though the reviewer admitted unfamiliarity with elk), and the other was served as a wrap, leading to the assumption that bread was unavailable due to the establishment being "out of everything!!!" The review highlights the absence of staff to address these issues. The most concerning part of this account is the alleged interaction upon leaving, where the "RUDE lady" reportedly laughed at the reviewers for eating the "wrong meal" without offering any apology or compensation for their mistake.
This reviewer emphasizes that the staff member's primary role should be to serve food and provide good customer service, neither of which, in their opinion, was adequately performed. They also note that their negative experience aligns with other reviews, suggesting a pattern of poor customer service.
Considering these recent customer reviews, local users searching for "camping near me" should be aware of the serious concerns raised regarding the management and customer service at Log Haven Campgrounds. The allegations of rudeness, unprofessional behavior, and poor handling of guest interactions are significant factors to consider when making a decision about where to camp.
The reviews provide limited information about the environment and specific services or features of Log Haven Campgrounds. The mention of ATV riding in one review suggests that the campground may be located in an area suitable for this activity, potentially offering access to trails or being ATV-friendly. The presence of a dining or service area, as indicated in the second negative review, suggests that food and possibly drinks may be available on-site, although the quality of service appears to be a major concern.
Details regarding the types of campsites available (e.g., tent sites, RV sites), other amenities (e.g., restrooms, showers, fire pits, picnic tables, hookups), and the surrounding natural environment are not provided in these reviews. The location in Errol, New Hampshire, suggests a setting within the state's northern region, known for its forests and outdoor recreational opportunities. However, without more specific information, it's difficult to describe the environment of the campground itself in detail.
Similarly, no promotional information, such as special rates, seasonal offers, or unique features to attract campers, is mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in such details would need to contact Log Haven Campgrounds directly to inquire about current pricing, availability, and any ongoing promotions.
In conclusion, for local users actively searching within the "camping near me" category, the recent customer reviews for Log Haven Campgrounds present significant red flags concerning the campground's management and customer service. While the location in Errol, NH, might offer access to outdoor activities like ATV riding, the reported negative interactions with the owner and staff are serious considerations. Potential campers are strongly advised to weigh these concerns carefully and perhaps seek additional information or alternative campgrounds in the area before making a reservation. Direct contact with Log Haven Campgrounds may provide further clarity or context, but the consistent themes of rudeness and poor service in the reviews warrant caution.

Log Haven Campgrounds Reviews
This owner Carol is just a terrible person. Very rude, and does not know how to operate a campground. There is a reason this campground is never full and all the other campgrounds in the area are thriving during peak season. We had stayed for a weekend recently to go atving in the area. We had a horrible experience the second night (Saturday)We came back late from riding all day and a little wet from the sudden rain fall. The first thing we did back at the site was lite a campfire. Apparently it was a little higher than what was allowed. Carol the owner drives her tractor over to our site to scream at us for having a high campfire. Which burned down fairly low quickly as she was trying to point out the fire herself. She was swearing and just absolutely freaking out. Yelling at us to put the fire completely out. She then went on to tell us we had to leave the campground. All she had to do was tell us once to keep it low and that would have been the end of it. We were trying to reason with her that we would keep the fire low. She wasn’t having it. I could clearly see she was intoxicated. We were blown away by what was happening. So unprofessional and just disgusting behavior on her part. We finally convinced her that packing up in the dark and leaving wasn’t reasonable. She then said you have two choices then. Either stay in your trailer for the rest of the night or go home now.We said we will stay inside and leave in the morning. She responded by saying “yeah and early too”She really has no business trying to run that place. She is awful and rude. This place deserves to have new ownership. Till then it will be run into the ground with an owner like that.
Aug 01, 2023 · Joel SmithRUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! I never leave negative reviews, but after today’s experience, I had to. Upon entering, I noticed a room full of eager, hungry snowmobilers on a holiday weekend, waiting without food, and most without drinks. Tables full of dirty dishes from previous customers still not cleaned up. And not a staff member in sight. I asked one of the 2 staff members that appeared (let’s call her RUDE lady) how long the wait was, and she snapped at me “10 minutes but I can’t promise you anything”. We finally ordered (Elk burger and turkey club) and upon getting our order, we were both skeptical if they made it right. Mine tasted more like beef, but I had never tried elk, so how would I know? His came as a wrap, so we assumed they were out of bread (since they were out of everything!!!). There was no staff to be found, so we ate it anyway. Here’s the good part.... on our way out, the RUDE lady said “you guys DO know you ate the wrong meal, right? Who eats something they didn’t even order?” and laughed without offering to compensate or apologize for THEIR mistake in any way, and walked away. Her ONLY job is to be a waitress (to serve food and provide good customer service), neither of which she is good at. Judging by other reviews, I am not the only one noticing this...
Feb 16, 2020 · Emily ThompsonThe campground itself was amazing. The owner on the other hand NOT SO MUCH. They were very difficult to get a hold of throughout our stay; after an email, multiple calls to the office, a call to a cell phone in which I was unable to leave a message b/c the mailbox was full and finally a text message, Carol called me. I was in the middle of explaining that there was a change in the number of people in our party since making our reservations a few months ago and I would like a refund for the 2 extra adults that were unable to come. She interrupted me, literally raised her voice, told me to stop talking and said it was our fault for not telling them there was a change and there would be no refund. WOW!! If she were to explain their stupid policy nicely instead being so rude I wouldn't have a problem paying, but now I'll be pursuing it further. We will be sure to share.
Jul 06, 2021 · Kristy Badger1st couple times I went there for dinner it was fantastic however the first time we went for breakfast on sunday, a friend accidentally brought in a dunkin coffee. I get its rude to being a dunkins coffee in someone's else restaurant however he asked the waitress as soon as we sat down if it was alright if he had it and the waitress said yes of course. Then about 5 minutes later an older lady (could have been the manager) came over and took the coffee and was extremely rude and told us to get out. She would not let us explain the situation about how we had asked the waitress. She continued to cut is off and freak out at us. If she had politely asked us to leave the coffee outside we would have been more than happy too. However the waitress said it was no problem. I would have been more mad about the waitress allowing it rather than being extremely rude to the customer who politely asked in the first place if it was an issue...then after she escorted us out of the restaurant she continued with the rest of the people who were in our group to get out. They never even said nor did anything to cause an upset. She just wanted us all out.
Feb 02, 2020 · Ali FongemieOn Thursday February 17, 2022, as I was sitting at the bar enjoying a beer, a Female manager was screaming at a drunk patron for walking around and accusing him of being drunk, which was true he was, but oddly let him stay! Eventually 20 minutes later she flipped out on the guy and loudly kicked him out, which he did without any hesitation. The unnerving part of this craziness was I thought for sure this manager-woman was going to beat him up on the way out! The guy was leaving cooperatively and justifiably should have been asked to leave much sooner. The manager was over the top and the owners should re think who they have in charge there , or have some employee training on de-escalation, alcohol over serving and management’s skills.
