Vista Diablo Mobile Estates Introduce
While your search for "RV parks near me" might encompass various types of communities, if you are specifically looking for senior mobile home living options in Antioch, California, Vista Diablo Mobile Estates, located at 2901 Somersville Rd, Antioch, CA 94509, USA, is a community that warrants careful consideration. They can be reached by phone at (925) 757-9321 or mobile at +1 925-757-9321.
Feedback from residents regarding Vista Diablo Mobile Estates presents a somewhat contrasting view of the community. One reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction, stating they would give the park a "negative 5 Stars." Their primary concern revolves around the annual 4% increase in ground rent within this senior park, arguing that this poses a financial burden on residents who are primarily on low fixed incomes. This reviewer accuses the property management company, J&H Asset Property Management Inc., of taking advantage of the senior residents and describes the rent increases as "criminal."
This critical review also raises a specific issue regarding sewer charges. Residents are reportedly billed $52.40 per month for sewer services, a figure the reviewer contrasts sharply with the average single-family dwelling in Antioch being billed $19.80 per month. The reviewer questions the discrepancy, suggesting that the extra $32 per space per month, amounting to a significant sum monthly, is being unfairly profited by the management company. Additionally, this reviewer mentions that the park is in "permanent construction," implying ongoing disruptions that may affect the residents' quality of life. The reviewer concludes with a poignant statement about their mother, who has resided there for almost four years and can no longer afford to stay, advocating for the protection of seniors from what they perceive as discrimination.
In stark contrast to this negative experience, another reviewer offers a positive assessment, stating that the "Park is very well kept and management is friendly and responsive!" This suggests that from a visual and service perspective, some residents find the park to be well-maintained and the management approachable and efficient in addressing their needs.
Considering these two very different perspectives, it is crucial for potential residents to weigh both the positive aspects of the park's upkeep and management responsiveness against the serious concerns raised about affordability and financial practices. The issue of steadily increasing ground rent in a senior community with residents on fixed incomes is a significant factor that could impact the long-term financial stability and well-being of potential residents. Similarly, the substantial difference in sewer charges compared to the city average warrants further investigation and clarification for those considering residency.
The mention of "permanent construction" is also a point of concern. Ongoing construction can lead to noise, disruptions, and potentially affect the aesthetic appeal and overall peace of the community. Prospective residents should inquire about the nature, extent, and expected duration of any current or planned construction projects within the park.
While one reviewer praises the park's upkeep and management, the other's detailed critique regarding financial burdens and ongoing construction cannot be ignored. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" with an eye towards senior mobile home living in Antioch, Vista Diablo Mobile Estates presents a community with seemingly well-maintained grounds and responsive management, but also significant concerns about affordability due to annual rent increases and potentially inflated utility charges. The issue of ongoing construction adds another layer of uncertainty regarding the living environment.
To make an informed decision, potential residents should thoroughly investigate the current ground rent structure, the details of the sewer charges and how they are calculated, and the specifics of any ongoing or planned construction projects. It would be prudent to speak directly with the park management to seek clarification on these points and to understand their perspective on the concerns raised by residents. Additionally, if possible, speaking with current residents to gather a broader range of experiences and opinions could provide a more comprehensive picture of life at Vista Diablo Mobile Estates.
Given the conflicting feedback, Vista Diablo Mobile Estates appears to be a community with both positive attributes, such as good maintenance and responsive management, and potential significant drawbacks related to affordability for seniors on fixed incomes and ongoing construction. Local users considering this park for senior mobile home living should proceed with caution and conduct thorough due diligence to ensure it aligns with their financial situation and lifestyle expectations.

Vista Diablo Mobile Estates Reviews
If I could, I would give this place a negative 5 Stars. It is criminal to continue to raise ground rent 4% every year in a senior park. All of the renters are on low fixed incomes. This property management company is taking advantage of our seniors. Renters are charged $52.40 per month for sewer. The average single family dwelling is billed $19.80 per month in the city of Antioch. Where does the extra $32 per space per month go? That amounts to $4768.00 per month that J&H Asset Property Management Inc is pocketing. The park is in permanent construction. My mother has been there for almost 4 years and cannot afford to stay. It is time to protect our seniors from this discrimination.

Jan 07, 2025 · Aja AdairLove living here but looking to move because this park charges way to much space rent! Ridiculous! Goes up every year and this is a senior living park with most everyone on a fixed income.
Feb 05, 2024 · Pamela AlvaradoMorgan, the property manager is the worst. Extremely unprofessional, rude, arrogant and disrespectful. Lacks customer service skills and empathy and professionalism. She should not be working in an elder community. She keeps harassing and yelling at my parents over some plants. They have never been late on thier rent and keep to themselves, but this woman has found a way to make thier lives impossible. We strongly feel she is racist and we will be seeking legal advise for discrimination and harassment. When I called to ask what was the issue she responded with first of all.. She needs to be fired.
Sep 28, 2023 · Wil SolI love it and I live there, they have new management and they seem pleasant and Professional, we need to keep it a seniors only place, we are older and retired, don't need a kid problem, the people are nice and neighborly and we watch out for each other.
