Aziscoos Valley Campground Reviews
Probably my favorite campground in all of New England. This place is truly a hidden gem. Not a lot of sites available so you need to book early. The Sites themselves are mostly grassy and enormous. Nearly 360° views of the surrounding mountainous terrain from all sites. The Magalloway River runs parallel to the campground with a historic covered bridge crossing it (accessible by foot). You can tube, kayak, canoe, float or fish in this wonderful body of water. On a clear night Aziscohos is a star gazers dream, simply stunning.I’ve only been here in a pop up, but I believe there is a dump station. Most sites are “dry camping”, and that to me makes it that more “intimate” and true to what camping really is. There are a handful of sites that have water and electric. The restrooms and showers are the cleanest and most modern of any campground I’ve been to.Owners are great people and very down to Earth. I can’t say enough great things about this wonderful place.
Mar 04, 2023 · Joe StoverCamping in an ample meadow (a rarity in this wooded area). Some spots amongst the trees, too. Sites with and without electricity/water. Clean shower/toilet. Kind manager.Beautiful area on the Magalloway River, with picturesque covered Bennet Bridge.
Sep 20, 2023 · Stefanie SteinerWhat a beautiful piece of land! Our group of four stayed here for one night, and loved it. I mean, they have a covered bridge! The sites are huge and the bath house is clean. Friendly hosts. Recommend.
Oct 11, 2021 · Jennifer McConnellI cannot say enough good things about this place. We had to book last minute due to some issues we had at another campsite earlier in the afternoon. The female owner answered the phone and got us right in for two nights. When we got there she was very pleasant and check in was very easy. Our campsite was very clean and what is great about this place is that they are very nicely spaced out so you really have some privacy. They provide you with a fire pit, a large trash barrel with bag, and also a picnic table. We set up and had supper and a wonderful night. It was nice and quiet, no one was playing loud music or dogs barking incessantly. The bath house was very clean, two toilets, two sinks and stand up shower that takes quarters, it was a little bit of a walk from our site, but that was okay. Our second night the owners drove around and stopped in to say hello which was great, asking how riding went, very friendly but not at all intrusive.Again we had a wonderful second night, and the next morning as we were packing up to leave the owner was out mowing the lawn and stopped by to chat with my boyfriend. We left with big smiles and plans to return next year.
