While the overall experience is positive, this reviewer offers a nuanced perspective, mentioning that the campground is "Not as warm and inviting as other local campgrounds." The reviewer also shares an experience with the "honor system" firewood, noting they were "slightly caught off guard" and "quickly reminded that one of the many cameras had us taking some." While they acknowledge this was "Completely understandable," they also mention it "didn't feel very inviting in that aspect." This provides insight into the campground's security measures and potentially a more formal approach to certain policies. However, the reviewer concludes on a positive note, stating they have "spent several nights here with no complaints and what an outstanding facility for restrooms! Thanks!" This positive feedback about the restroom facilities is a significant highlight, indicating a well-maintained and appreciated amenity.
Another enthusiastic reviewer exclaims, "I love this campground! We have not been here for many years and I don't know why." This suggests that Cupsuptic Lake Park and Campground has left a positive lasting impression on past visitors. They further praise the "amazing" scenery, specifically mentioning "The lakes, the mountains, the forest," painting a picture of a truly beautiful natural environment. The reviewer also notes the friendly atmosphere, stating, "People here are very friendly," and commends the staff as "on point yet unobtrusive," striking a balance between helpfulness and respecting guests' privacy. Their experience was so positive that they "will definitely be back" and "it will not take years," indicating a strong desire for a return visit.

Cupsuptic Lake Park and Campground Reviews
Excellent location to camp. Not as warm and inviting as other local campgrounds but the property is well kept, views over the lake are lovely and not far from grocery stores/town. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Slightly caught off guard with "honor system" firewood which we were quickly reminded that one of the many cameras had us taking some. Completely understandable, but didn't feel very inviting in that aspect...regardless I have spent several nights here with no complaints and what an outstanding facility for restrooms! Thanks!

Jul 07, 2024 · Dawn VoigtThis campground is beautiful and clean. Staff are kind and friendly. Yes they enforce the rules but the rules are there to keep everyone safe. Staff are very willing to help out when needed. It is quiet and peaceful. We have camped at many campgrounds in Maine over many years. This one is the best. Many of the same faces are seen year after year and have become friends. Staff and campers are family. If you respect the gift of this beautiful campground you will come back again and again.
