The environment of Lost Moose Campground is described by a reviewer as having "sprawling grasses" and "bubbling brooks," suggesting a picturesque and potentially serene setting. This imagery evokes a sense of natural tranquility, making it an appealing destination for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in a peaceful outdoor atmosphere. While specific details about the services offered at Lost Moose Campground are not extensively listed in the provided reviews, the second review offers a significant insight into the level of customer service. The reviewer recounts a challenging experience of getting stranded after a hike and how the owner, Frank, went above and beyond to assist them. This included allowing them to use his phone and even driving them to a gas station to meet their friend. Such an act of kindness speaks volumes about the hospitality and helpfulness one might expect at Lost Moose Campground. While this is anecdotal, it suggests a personalized and caring approach to guest relations that can greatly enhance the camping experience.

This personal touch can be a significant draw for potential campers who value a welcoming and supportive environment. However, specific promotional offers, such as discounts for extended stays, seasonal specials, or group rates, are not mentioned in the provided text. Lost Moose Campground Reviews
When as a budding boy scout I first read the famed words of Maya Angelou “Everything in the universe has a rhythm, everything dances”, I didn't understand what it meant. Now I do. The Lost Moose to a wayward traveller is a sleeveless puffer vest to a finance student - a safe haven. The Lost Moose interpellat my travels as a mariachi band interpellats a lover’s quarrel; with an attitude that says “life is meant for living, so take a dip.” From its sprawling grasses to bubbling brooks, the Lost Moose will treat you better than an ex who’s let themselves go. If I’m lucky enough to be in the tristate area again, you best believe there’s one place I’ll be returning. Smash or pass, you ask? I say unto thee SMASH. 5 stars.
May 05, 2025 · Leonard NorwilloPlace is super pretty. The owner, Frank, is amazing. We decided to do the Crystal lake hike in December😂🤙. Ended up with out a car after that one. Had to hike 5 miles back down the road, and stumbled upon lost moose campground. Frank let us use his phone and drove us to a gas station where we had a friend pick us up. Don't go hiking up there in winter. Thank you Frank!
Dec 24, 2024 · GENKA KOPETSThis is the place you want to tell everyone about but tell no one about. We have stayed in campgrounds ALL ACROSS the United States and have never experienced one like Lost Moose. The drive in and out is great! We have a 42ft 5th wheel. There is more than enough space on the roads and they are very well maintained. Tons of various wildlife can be seen wondering the woods, ponds, mountains, and creeks so make sure you keep your eyes peeled! We saw multiple moose, even a cow and baby! The campground is BEAUTIFUL! You are greeted by the warmest camp hosts, Terri and Dan! You wake up to the sounds of the creek flowing and birds chirping. Your children can run and laugh and play and explore! The camp store has awesome merchandise and also yummy treats! The owners really work hard to cultivate a true family environment and they have definitely achieved just that! We are positive Lost Moose is the best campground in the US and we cannot wait to spend more time there! We cannot say enough great things about this amazing place! It’s truly a slice of Heaven and we our so glad that our family was lead there!
Aug 22, 2024 · JB's Sopchoppy SauceDriving across the country, we needed a place for the night and I was really not looking forward to pitching my tent again. We rented the little shed with a bed and it was absolutely perfect. We still got our campfire and camping experience, but without all of the putting up and taking down just for one night. Thank you so much to the lovely camp hosts! What a wonderful night we had. Oh, and I got up super early in the morning and saw a mama and baby moose!
Jul 21, 2024 · kathy LaMeeAbsolutely amazing campground. The hosts were friendly. The facilities were clean. Community games available upon request. Popcorn delivery at 4pm on Fridays! The sites were level and spacious. The creek was flowing and provided a beautiful background sound. Aside from Pepe Le Pew visiting us nightly to check out the garbage cans, all was PERFECT! Will definitely be back soon!
