Lowden State Park Campground caters primarily to tent and potentially some small RV campers, although specific details regarding RV hookups and site sizes are not provided in the given information. The mention of parking limitations at some sites, with only enough room for one vehicle despite the allowance for two, suggests that careful planning regarding vehicle arrangements might be necessary. It's advisable for potential campers to inquire about site specifications and parking availability when making reservations to ensure a comfortable setup.
Based on the available customer reviews, Lowden State Park Campground offers a mix of services and features. One review highlights the presence of a "clean shower house," which is a significant amenity for campers seeking comfort and hygiene during their stay. However, it's crucial to consider the entirety of the feedback provided by fellow campers. One review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the behavior of a specific camp host, citing instances of perceived rudeness and inconsistent enforcement of campground rules. This feedback, while potentially isolated, serves as a reminder that individual experiences can vary, and it might be prudent for prospective campers to be aware of this perspective. The reviewer also pointed out potential discrepancies between the stated allowance of two vehicles per site and the actual space available at some sites.

Lowden State Park Campground Reviews
It is a beautiful place to camp and I would love to give five stars again this year but they really need some new camp hosts! The older lady is really rude! Came up and yelled bc my one truck tire was one the grass in my camping area. There were camp sites all around me with cars completely in the grass. They say you can have 2 vehicles but there is only enough room for on at each site. There are some sites next to parking spots but none in the back that way. Then said something about my dog having to be on a leash at all times. Which she could see clearly he was. I have a small dog that's a Jack Russel and I have seen a few big dogs that don't seem very friendly with other dogs in the past, so why would I put my dog in harms way by not having him on a leash. I have never had an issue or been talked to like that by anyone that was a host and I have camped here for years! Used to love it here until this year! Not sure I would recommend this campground anymore.

Sep 08, 2023 · Pamela BuseI grew up going to this camp grounds and am incredibly disappointed to what it’s become. the park is absolutely stunning, but the camp grounds employee has to be from the pits of hell. He’s an older man and has continued to not give anything but issues.Nosy and bitter, my family and I were hoping to enjoy our trip like old times but we did not have a moment of peace with this man breathing down our necks. One minute it was “your dogs too loud tell her to keep it down” the next it was “you can’t have your tent there” he was just always right behind us ready to criticize absolutely anything and making up rules on the spot.
Aug 18, 2024 · flyeonI have been here at least 30 plus times in the past several years, this time I wanted a site close to thebathrooms as my mom is in a wheelchair and dad uses a cane.and can't get into the camper. So we arrived about 2pm friday fathersday weekend,, and asked the camp host is anything closer to the bathrooms, the Lady holds her head and shakes it saying we are not doing this agian!!! I asked what her problem was and explained the situation. She was very unwelcoming and her husband said go look and see what would work for you. We were able to get a closer spot. As I walked by her I told her she needs to work on her camp host welcoming skills. Crabby elderly people.should not be in these positions for sure. Never an issue the other 29 times.Kent Coffman
